Which park is your favourite and why?
I have to say, the ride photo apps for both Blackpool and Alton Towers (and Thorpe Park for that matter) blow Cedar Point’s system out of the water. The self serve aspect is brilliant. I would like the UK parks to teach CP a thing or two about ride photos!
Ah it’s not always been that way. I remember the old way of queueing to speak to a member of staff to get your photos. The dark days 😂
@@coaster_dad That is how it is at CP still. I waited 45 minutes for my Top Thrill 2 photo, when I only waited 15 minutes for the ride itself! Dark days indeed!

Great video, interesting to get your thoughts on the two parks. I haven't personally been to Alton Towers for 7 years and Blackpool probably for the best part of 20, so I have to take your word for it, although I'm hoping to change that next year.

I definitely prefer pleasure beach i think the overall atmosphere and charm of it is a lot better and the fact that it never really gets massive queues is a big bonus. But i have never really had a quiet day at Alton towers so that might be why i dont like it as much
I’m the same. I see people reporting super quiet days in towers but I’ve never experienced one myself.

Blackpool. I don't drive. It's not much walking. It's near constant riding. Towers is. Yeah got the best coasters for steel lovers.. that's cool if you have a car and don't have kids your dragging around. But BPB for me all day. I have kids. Don't drive and i do enough walking with my dogs.
I’d kinda like to mix the two. The coasters from Towers but intertwined like BP 😉
@coaster_dad You never know. A gerst might replace GP. Towers managed smiler in a small place and that kingdomland or whatever its called. Might not even be that but another gerst over the water looks amazing. I only love nemesis but that's more themeing. They may as they can't remove river caves. Hollow it out for a gerst. I do worry about river caves.
