Naptown native here. Been to many Indy Eleven matches over the years. Including ones at Lucas Oil. We appreciate anytime they get some love from a true US soccer fan. Dope hat too btw. You stay classy🤘🏼
Awesome video and great insight on Indy Eleven's home ground. It was good meeting up with you at the Indy Eleven playoff match. I also see myself with my selfie stick at 9:22 (red jacket and black and grey cap). The problem here is that the team wants to build a 20,000 seat stadium for what will one day become an MLS stadium, but should focus on a 9,000 seat stadium that would be among the best in the USL Championship. There is a stigma in town that USLC is minor league compared to the MLS. I hope it's figured out one day, but the original plans for the stadium would have been ready for the 2025 season. It might not open until the 30s!
Nice meeting you as well! As we talked about, Indy Eleven's stadium situation has this weird element of the club actually wanting to be in MLS. The stadium and their MLS desires have been an ongoing saga for basically most of their existence.
always love an away day review! one of my favorite series on youtube. always have wanted to experience other cities soccer scene, and this is an awesome taste. great work, tom! hope the city does right by the club.
That's why I do them! People often can't travel so I bring these places to them! Or, as I mentioned in the video, hopefully someone watches down the road because he/she was in Indy and was curious about attending an Indy Eleven game.
I obviously feel for Indy Eleven and their supporters and wish them a rebound from the difficulties they've experienced recently. That being said, I love following a new team, and I've been beyond impressed at how well Rhode Island FC have done in their inaugural season. It would be remarkable if they went all the way, not in the least because how many professional sports teams from Rhode freaking Island ever get to lift a national league trophy?
I have a standing offer from a Rhode Island to visit them when they open their new stadium. I wasn't planning on going to the northeast US in 2025 but maybe I should!
It's a shame US soccer teams like Indy 11 can't get funding for facilities. A 15,000 seater with modern facilities and better matchday experience would do WONDERS for a club like that. Great video Tom 👍
I want to like this so bad, but you ruined it when mentioning the team to the south & Indy in the same sentence. Great video and valid points made to point out the “issues.” However, we do call it “the greatest dive bar” stadium for a reason. The bathrooms are actually bad. If there’s a storm bad enough, they get backed up & you can smell it everywhere.
If there was justice in the world, Indy would have a stadium that out the team to the south's stadium to shame. And glad I didn't come when that happened to the bathrooms! They were "fit for purpose" in the two times I was there but nothing fancy...like the rest of the stadium lol.
It’s too bad their own mayor hates them.
I would get a kit just for the Honda sponsorship! Happy Honda Days!
The Indy Eleven situation with the Mayor and MLS makes my brain break a little trying to make sense of it.

Thanks lad! They deserve MORE love honestly.
Really in 2024, they just deserve a hug.

Also, on my own personal Could I Eat Myself Sick Here as a Vegetarian? scale, Indy Eleven gets an easy 10. That menu made me smile from ear to ear.
Those prices made me smile from ear to ear and almost brought a tear to my eye.

Honestly, a 10k seater with 2500 terrace would absolutely SLAY in Indy.
Alas, we have a mid track and field stadium instead.
