Hey Colton I am hopefully buying a super cheap 740 from an old man in my town in Ireland this week, we settled on a price its a little rough round the edges but rust free underneath, 150k miles and ofc right hand drive! its 2.3 N/A but manual, cant wait to rip a Volvo around!

Hi Colton, thanks for a wonderful tour at the junkyard. I'm from Sweden, and here we have some models made for the Americans, but they have yet to make it overseas. You have to google. Volvo 480 -1986 - 1995. Volvo bought the DAF factory in Holland in 1974. And made a lot of very, very bad cars. Volvo 66, Volvo 340, Volvo 360, Volvo 440, Volvo 460, and Volvo 480.
Then there is a wagon of 544 and 444 called 445 and 210 (duett). I don't think this model was sold in the USA. I know they were sold in Canada.
In your film, there is a 262 bertone (the one whit a lower and black roof). I really like when you use the word Amazon because it only exists in Sweden. The name was already taken from a moped factory in Germany.
I did not spot any Volvo 780. I know that model was sold a lot in the USA.
I have 2 Volvo 210, 1 Amazon, and 1 PV 544. I earlier had a Volvo 480 sold to a car collector.
There is one model called P1900 there was onöy 67 made 1956 - 1957. One of them was sold new in California. That car made it back to Sweden.

here in the UK we have a place called Lakes volvo autocenter, pretty similar to this. just a graveyard of volvos
so many 242's these coupe's are getting extremly rare even in sweden even "project 242's" goes for what a used 2016 car would go for in some cases if not even more

My grandpa just down the road from there has a bertone that he is apparently going to throw a turbo engine in with a penta head and all that. My family is trying to convince him to put a manual transmission in it. He's been into Volvos my whole life.

740 Turbo @ 5 minutes is standard RED interior. Oxblod is available from 1990 on 740 and earlier on 760

Im from sweden, leather seats, chrome roofrack, all chrome exterior parts and the 240/740 USA headlights are worth A LOT in sweden.

Nice video, i love hanging out in such places. The rear hatch window trim on the amazon estate at 12:37 is hard to find, i would definatly pull this out carefully.

What you should get is an inline 5 from the newer V70 (a t5) engine and drift with it. Can easily push and maintain 400whp++
Are the M47 transmissions the 5 speed ( not the 4 speed with the overdrive.. the M46 trans. ) that cone clutch just isn’t that strong.

I’m not a Volvo guy but seen this video thinking it was a place a little farther south that I’ve always wondered about. There’s a house set back here in the Skagit valley just south of Bellingham that has I bet 40 or 50 Volvos sitting around the yard, house and barns.. I’ve always wondered why he collected them and not sure if he’s selling them.
This is the house you speak of outside of bellingham.
Take the opportunity to save old Volvos, they are becoming difficult and expensive to find in Sweden.

It's not that hard to put one in a 240, 740 or 940 though. The sound is addicting.

Me too. I owned an 83 245, baby blue. I sold it twenty five years ago. I have been through half a dozen American cars since then. If I would have kept the Volvo, it would still be running and have at least a million miles on it.
