      Next time you are looking for Volvo parts may I suggest expanding your search into Central Kentucky area. Plenty of junk yards here have 10 and 12 models available and a lot of these junk yards are very old school small town places that don't even advertise there inventory on the internet. These are the kind of places you have to call ask a guy if he has a certain car then call back 15 minutes after he walks the yards and takes a count of them for you.

    Man my heart is bleeding when i see those volvos in those scrap yards.
    My grandpa used to sell them here. I myself own a volvo 360 (yes that DAF one)
    and a 740 diesel. Very sad to see a turbodiesel scrapped there 😥

    Nice vid bro, hurts to see such nice volvos with potential rott away like that:( specially that -90 760 and 740 Turbo Diesel. Man those are rare and the diesel engine was still in it too! I am a swede and i would of gone crazy just to find a volvo here in sweden with a leather interior, super rare here! Try to save all the chrome trim on the doors and interiors before its too late. And the 760 door panels are also rare because of the inside door handle (luxury)

    I'm glad I stuck around till the end of the video. I fully agree, but I probably wouldn't have been brave enough to stand up to those border guards. Which quite frankly is what they're banking on, once you take the power away from someone who thinks they have endless power, they crumble. Also really enjoyed!

    Ummm they don't just hand you the $5,000 fine at the border station at the border crossing you will receive it in the mail via certified postage a couple of weeks after the incident takes place. I have about 12 people who can verify that is how they receive their fines. It's a 50/50 shot whether the court will dismiss them or pursue I've had some people that got it dismissed immediately and some other friends who are still in court battling it to this day.

    Love the 760! I actually have a 90 760 but it's a redblock trubo.. The irs handles great man if you ever get the chance take one for a rip you will be surprised how much better it handles over the bouncy solid axle.. Obviously for drifting and aftermarket purposes solid axle is much easier.

    • @baltazard133T
      @baltazard133T 2 роки тому

      The main purpose of using the solid axle in the Volvos for drifting is it negates the wheel hop and Axle slap that usually occurs with IRS vehicles. For example wheel Hop in all the Honda's being ifs and the early 2000s mustangs bouncing away.

    • @hayballz1
      @hayballz1 2 роки тому

      @@baltazard133T hey sorry 2 weeks late I never go on this... Never had axle hop with my irs cars but I've had a few solid axle pickups hop around.. My buddy's 06 gto axle hops like crazy and it's irs.. I think it has alot to do with how much power you want to put down..i know gm fixed the axle hop issue in the newer cars with two different diameter axles in the back.. I think it's a damn shame more of the old volvos didn't come irs so comfy and alot of grip on uneven roads... Edit, also I think most people use the solid axle for drifting the volvos because there is really no other choice there is almost no aftermarket for the mk1 hell it's hard to fine replacement parts let alone go fast stuff.

    • @baltazard133T
      @baltazard133T 2 роки тому +1

      @@hayballz1 you see Honda tried the different size shaft technique in the '80s and '90s to very limited success in the removal of wheel hop. Unfortunately all of my wheel Hop experience comes from the front wheel drive world so I'd say my opinion is slightly skewed. Although with that being said all of the IRS cars that I've ever been in that were spinning rear tires were wheel hopping. But most of those IRS cars were around factory power levels, all of the high horsepower cars I've been in were front-wheel drive

  • @TheKyotoKid
    @TheKyotoKid 2 роки тому

    Yes, that 760 GLE grey leather interior would have been worth taking the seat skins, higher quality than the standard GL or turbo 740s. Next, the diesel powered 740 should have a much lighter aluminum hood and that 1995 940 has an updated brake pedal assembly and booster that allows more efficient braking with less effort. Always worth grabbing them and retrofitting to an older model, only came with the 1995 model year.
    I have installed two sets I had, one is in a 1994 945 Turbo and the other in a 1993 940 non turbo.

    @insaneman0640 2 роки тому

    For some reason many 740s have the plastic pockets on the doors broken, my 740 wagon and my parts 740 turbo sedan both have them broken. I will sell the wagon once it's in a decent condition, I don't feel like dealing with it's problems as it was converted from a b230k to a b230e and it doesn't fully work all the time. The 740 turbo parts car is my dads, he pulled the motor to use in a drag build Opel Rekord, the motor was a b230ft, but at the time finnish law didin't allow a 2.3L motor in the rekord so he got a 2.0L bottom end for it, still using the 2.3L top end if I'm correct. The parts car was already pretty rusty when my dad got it years ago, he didn't have a use for the rest and just left it to rot, now it's too far gone to be used for anything else than parts. Also as I've removed parts from it I have discovered that there are many fire hazards as the wiring was done by someone that isn't the best at it, driver side front door was replaced, all the wires are just thrown in there, also speakers didin't fit in the original hole, he just cut a bigger hole and one of the speakers was broken because the hole was still too small.

    You know, this is a great video idea. I think I will make a video about the next level salvage yards we have here in Texas. It's a lot different situation, than what you shared, in one huge main aspect of convenience.
    (*edit you said app, maybe the same, you just didn't highlight the app maybe?) I love that you shared this information and video. I find salvage yards are confirmation that I enjoy saving the old bodies. I always want to take them all home! Kinda like pretty ladies, until you get them all into one yard and realize what a mess, a group of them can be, all at once! Maybe that's just a me, thing.
    I often wonder how much those diesels can be turned up to. I know Orlando Holmes did one here in Houston with a turbo hood exit in a 245, it seemed ok quick in video. All those wagons! Each one, I feel like increases the value of mine.
    Bravada has Syclone and typhoon parts in it-grab grab grab!!! Front axles and transfer case/center diff, rear axle!!
    What the hell on the covid scam?! Sorry to hear you had to go through so much trouble. Politicians will refuse to live simple so others can simply live. Just no money in it for them. Until we unite and curve this massive lie of life we now live, it's just going to get worse. FJB Ffauci-ouchie. This world is insane with the things the leaders try to make us put in our bodies as they finger punch us in the back pocket here in United States.
    A Warning?? For what, knowing your inalienable human rights? Ha ha ha ha ah ha ha ha. I love it. It's big corp trying to bully, with no ground to stand on , when you actually the phuck refuse, they always cave.
    Real heroes don't wear capes, good on ya Brother!
    Thanks for sharing the story at the end, that was enough to almost gravy your pants aye?!
