Recently I've been really interested in making more natural look / realistic environments for nano fish and this is something I'll be doing more of. It started with the neon tetra tank and now we have the ember tetra tank. What other nano fish would you like to see? I already have something cool planned for the blind cave fish (I never took them back to the shop in the end as I liked them too much :) Equipment used in this video (all links affiliate): Tank: amzn.to/3nD5UHm Light: US amzn.to/2Fjn3o8 UK amzn.to/33OpI2D Media Bags: US amzn.to/34Kaf2N UK amzn.to/3lAj3z1 Stainless Lily Pipes: US amzn.to/2FqHpvR UK amzn.to/2RlfrnC Filter: US amzn.to/3iNeVtW UK amzn.to/2Fo774a Hardscape & Plants: www.aquariumgardens.co.uk/ (the round rocks are Yangtse Rock) Plants supplied by: tropica.com/en
Really love how natural this scape looks. This is the lovely thing about having multiple tanks. You can try out different plants and styles without making a mess of one tank!
Great idea about the media bags. I love how creative you are and how you continually explore new things. The tank looks fantastic and the tetras are perfect. Look forward to all your posts especially the longer build ones, makes my day!
MD, you are a genius. You should be awarded with an Oscar if there is any for your creativity specially for the zipped bags of lava. Keep up the good & creative work👍
@@suhailurrahman8209 All the best infos are on serious aquarium/aquascaping forum like ukaps or tom Barr forum, feel free to check them and get some awesome tips ;)
MD both you and George Farmer have inspired me to setup my first planted tank, my journey as just started with me collecting the custom built tank yesterday (80x50x40cm) and ordering a Fluval Plant 3 this morning 👍
That hose is the same sort my mom uses to water her balcony planter. Stretches from her shower head, through her bedroom window, to the drip line. Just as taught. :)
Love your videos! Your are truly an aquarium artist! I love how the ember tetras school together. I was thinking of using endler guppies but now I might have to reconsider!
Sir is really okay with his presentations... i dont mind if sometimes its hard to pronounce other words... i go for him for great presentations... great work sir... one of your followers in asia manila philipines... 😊😊😊😊😊😊🙏🙏🙏🙏
I'd love to create a beautiful tank like yours but I am on a budget. Do you think you can do a video where you try to make a beautiful tank but also affordable?
All the stuff in this aquarium is very affordable. Apart from the filter, I use all the cheapest equipment I can source on line from Amazon or ebay (check the links in the description or pinned comment). The filter though has a built in heater and pre filter which I think makes it well worth the extra cost to just a normal canister filter.
Do you think a cheap filter with an inline heater could work? I also want to attempt a shallow pond tank like yours, but I want to divide it between aqua soil and pond soil. So I can put some flowering plants in it too. Do you think that's possible or do you not recommend it?
You are still looking at £5-7 per pot of tropica. They're great, but can get expensive. I buy invitro from K2aqua on ebay. And there are others sellers too. You have to grow the plants out a bit as they're not quite adult, but I had great success with h.pinitafida, l.sessiflora, anubias, l.cardionalis, s.repens and have some mini super red coming. Its become an addiction.... thx md and g farmer.
Those gravel bags are really smart 🤓. I'm liking the potted plant in the new studio too. Maybe a couple more low maintenance plants in the other studio too.🤔
Another awesome build...I watch videos of tanks on youtube, so calming the fish schooling, love your choices of music as well, maybe someday you'll have one I can watch over n over, a music video with bits of children popping in here n there, you are very creative and it shows...thanks...
I'd love to see a Iwagumi build in that center tank! you have such great complex builds - I'd love to see what you can do with that challenge to keep it minimal! Set to scale with very small fish - like your neons and these Embers, hope to see what you create!
Another wonderful build MD! You make it simple to understand with beautiful results! I really love the direction of the wood in the scape and I'm definitely digging these species only tanks! Another fun journey... always stretching the limits (the water hose 😂) with MD and the new studio! I always enjoy when you take us to the fish shop..Henry is a power shopper 😂🐟💚🤗 Thank you for another great video MD I hope you and your family are doing well and have a very blessed day!!!🌿🐟🌿💚
Looks great! I would add about 10 more, and throw about 8 or 9 Cory's of some kind to help them chill out a bit. The reason they're skittish is that you only have one species in there. Schooling is a defensive measure where all of the fish (Embers in this case) act as one to keep all those eyes peeled for danger. So it's almost the same as having just one Ember. Another species acting as a dither fish will help them relax and feel at home.
dude you gotta get on to adding some tiger barbs or something for that asian tank man. needs more. and corys in the discus please, sterbai or pandas shall ne approved lol!!! ember tank looks awesome. update on the bonsai, maybe stock it with shrimpies? hope panch is doin ok with that guy. can we get the ranchu crew moved soon? they need some more friends (at least another oranda type to go with ember), we all want to see it, you know it. make it so. oh and dude, can you make use of your south american drwarf cichs (just rams wasnt it?)? they are so beautiful and didnt get much coverage. be ace if you could do something special for them in the new studio. apistos and rams are my fave. be ace to see you make a feature of them in the new place. its lookin dope man.
MD: Really rivers only have like one plant in a large bunch, so I'm only going to use two types of plants. * Proceeds to add 10 different plants to tank* 😂😂😂😂😂 Great job though man, it is looking fire at your new studios!
MD can you make an aqua scape with a plot, for example, blue sea with an island and a tree (driftwood with moss) grows on this island, there is also a cave or a hut there, and a path that leads from the sea to the hut/cave...and fish are like birds in this picture... stuff like this.

Beautiful scape. I was thinking the whole time you were building this, that the base of the central piece of wood looked like the face of an octopus.
Great job 💚💙
TBH I miss the slow mo sand cam! New studio looks great, MD!
Great layout. How about adding a dozen Pygmy Corydoras?
Just loving it
MD: Really rivers only have like one plant in a large bunch, so I'm only going to use two types of plants.

Never heard of ember tetras, they look awesome though👌
That looks great with no plants.
You should make a kubotai rasbora tank one of these days
I just got a couple pieces from the Sound in the Seattle area. I'm not paying 20 USD or more for some wood lol. Now I'm researching how to clean it.
Beautiful!
When u plan to come to India, Pl come to my home to setup my aquarium... So impressed with your tank
