OMG the tank at 4:05 is absolutely stunning! The entire store is gorgeous. All the tanks and fish look so healthy. What a treat for you to see! Thanks for sharing MJ.
The black coloured stone with sparkly texture is artificially manufactured. Its the solidified slurry from iron ore processing. It increases the iron content when used in tanks and often leads to algae problems.
I visited my brother when he was teaching in Japan back in 2005 and in Tokyo we visited a few shops. They were so amazing. The plants and fish available were like nothing we had here in the US at the time. Fortunately now the hobby has become much more accessible with high tech equipment and less common fish being available online and in some large cities they have a few shops for more serious aquarium hobbyists but for many years we were in the dark ages compared to Europe and Asia.
Love your videos as always MJ, you have a great aesthetic sense. It was your channel that got me into aquascaping two years ago! I am a full time filmmaker, also using sony cameras, I just want to note that you don't need a special filter for filming the blue light aquariums, you can manually change the cameras white balance instead. Keep up the good work and have a great day mate!
What a beautiful store - thanks for sharing. I believe the plant that looks like a rare eriocaulon at 11:52 is Xyris smalliana, from the southeastern US (rare and difficult to grow). The orangey-reddish fish at 10:05 look like cherry red tetras from Southwestern Brazil (undescribed Hyphessobrycon sp.), often called Matto Grasso or Muzel - beautiful fish!
Every time I see this shop it gets more impressive! I'm pretty sad I missed it last time I was in Osaka! Great tour video! If you ever end up in a saltwater aquarium room without a lens filter you can adjust your white balance and get some decent results. Sometimes I use 9900k to wipe out a fair bit of blue.
You know I will joke you about extra weight charges with the airline. 😜. Very cool store indeed. I love the pristine water condition of the tanks. I’m happy for you to go to Japan !
Oh nice to have an update of this beautiful store ! Last time was @RyoWatanabee tour over a year ago. I used their scapes as inspiration for my nano aquariums before.
I too appreciate that more simple salt water aquarium, don’t really like how intense the blue light is on most. I’m fresh water only so don’t appreciate the salt water side like I should if I knew more.
Japan would bankrupt me. Ive been seeing so many videos filmed there recently, covering all sorts of hobbies and interests, and the more i see the more id like to visit.
Hello, you make great videos. I know you use Twinstar lamps. I have a question. I have a twinstar 600ec. What level would you set the brightness to on a scale of 1-7 for difficult plants? aquarium 63 liters. thank you and best regards from Poland. ❤
Does the US have anything even remotely close to this caliber? What's the best stores in the US? I live in florida I've seen some big stores but nothing that focuses so much on quality and detail.
First
Plz pin me please
Japan is king of the world aquarium plants and aquascaping ....
The particularity of this store IIRC is that you can buy any of their nano scapes, that's why for some part they are individually filtered.

Beautiful tanks! Thanks for the tour. ❤
Excited for this one!! 🔥
Awesome Tour!
Beautiful fish and the display tanks are next level!

Tanks are so beautiful
Man I wish we had shops like this by me!
You can cut the reflection by using a polarizer filter
Nice fish store

I'd love that to be my local fish store. I'd never be away from the place. maybe it's a good thing, that it's not my local fish store then 😅

Türkçe alt yazı için ve Mükemmel bir gezi yaşattığın için size çok teşekkür ederim.
I'll probably gonna spend a whole day in this store lol
I don't know if KFS is following you, but he'll go nuts about these gorgeous plecos!
I would love to have a store like this near me. Not enough Americans care about this beautiful hobby! 😭😭
If you are wondering what those super red tetras are, they are Hyphessobrycon sp. "Muzel Red Cherry"
Echt een prachtige reis Mark ik zag dat je ook nog op andere channels in beeld kwam (Green Aqua) in Japan hihi

The rare eriocaulon is Xyris if I'm not mistaken
And the rare plant behind it, samolus parviflorus

What tetra is it? The super red one

I would go full brightness. And maybe start with 6 hours and slowly increase that to 8 hours or more
❤❤❤
6.16 neon tetra ❌️ cardinal tetra✅️
6.25 bloodfin tetra ❌️ white fin ornate tetra✅️
11.53 eriocaulon ❌️ xyris ✅️
11.57. Plant behind - samulus parviflorius red
Wild shop (y)
I wonder, almost everyone in the scaping scene seems to have been in Japan recently.
That's because ADA had an event. ;)
Salt water prices are so insane to me.
OMG that coral price can cost my living entire year😂
👍👍👍😎😎😎
How do we get one of those Zebra looking Plecos???????!!!!!!!!!!! And how much is a Yen in Dollars or Euros
