Jose Buono is amazing, i never thought i like it, but got it for $35 aussie dollars it's one of my fav. the variegation is so stable and easy to grow...
Hey Kayla! Your calathea is actually a ctnanthe lubbersiana. I think the sellers mislabeled it on purpose to make it more recognizable and easier to sell. Watch out for that one. Mine always had spider mites and would infect my other plants. Once I figured out what was going on, I put it outside and treated it, but it never lost the spider mites. Then I saw a different UA-cam with the same plant talking about how she had it for years and it always had spider mites. Needless to say, I ended up trashing mine 😂 this was weird for me since I actually like calathea and my other ones are happy and thriving. But don’t be fooled by that one!
Hi there! The best advice I ever got to stop Calatheas from spotting is aquarium water conditioner. I use GloFish brand water conditioner, it's like $6 at PetSmart- 6 drops a gallon and my tri-star hasn't had a crusty leaf in the last 6 months 😁 I hope this helps!
My Domino Peace Lily is a bit over four years old and big. She has caused me no problems and is a favorite in my collection. A trick that I have learned is to use aquarium water conditioner and very mild organic liquid fertilizer. I have her in my bedroom and water her at the first sign of wilting.I have the hoya Lisa. She is a bit of a slow grower for me, but very pretty. She is on a east facing window sill.
I got my baby P. Jose Buono for $14.99 recently and I love it. I also got a P. Ring of Fire for the same price at my local plant store. It is growing super well.
Greetings. New sub when I saw your newest video, now I’m binge watching. I enjoy your vibe and the fact you can show your plants and not use fowl language. I truly appreciate that. The once thing about Hoya’s; tendrils will eventually give new foliage. Patience, patience and more patience😊. I can say for most of use, we want out plants to grow fast and big. However as someone whose plants have outgrown 6” pots and now moving into 8”or larger; space becomes a major problem. I’ve trimmed the roots on some to keep them in 6” planters. So word to the wise; careful what you wish for. Appreciate you young lady. Happy growing. Oh, I’m hunting for the Ring of Fire. Anita
Hi there! Once I used foul language after finding my most expensive plant had spider mites…off camera of course lol thank you so much. I’m glad you enjoy my videos. I don’t mind repotting for a good cause like growing! Now THATS a plant chore I don’t mind at all! Happy planting!
Your husband is so sweet! Wow, the color on that Jose Buono. I haven’t gotten one because I heard they need lots of heat to get color like that. I brought a kalanchoe inside for winter and found APHIDS on it yesterday! No more plants going outdoors for me.
See thatssssss why I hate them going outside! They get so big and beautiful but then….BUGS!

I have a couple of the plants you discussed in this video and all of yours look better than mine (smh). There were a good amount that you have that sound like a must add to the wish list of plants. Thanks for sharing. Sidebar: plant prices are coming down and I am here for all of it!
Thank you for the inspiration! Really thinking about getting some variegated philodendrons now 😊 I have struggled with my ivy as well until I figured out they need to be bone dry before watering and thrive in very bright light.
Syngonium (5 fingers) will loss its variegated color as it mature. When I cut back the color come back for a while. Easy plant to grow no direct light It’s my oldest plant. I recv as a cutting in 1985. 👍🏾Video. I cut back 3 times a year. 🪴Happy Planting🌿
Thank you for sharing beautiful and amazing plants lovely collection beautiful houseplants lovely
