I absolutely LOVE my dischidia ovata. I actually just propagated it because it had gotten soooo long. So now I have 2 and the mother plant is more full now. Easy plant for sure.

All the plants are beautiful I love the Jose plant too I got mine for n 2024 it has not skipped a beat I think I get 1-2 leaves a month. I ordered a esqueleto and Mexican I’m cutting can’t wait to get them. I do understand what you mean about the plants u have that was your grandma’s I name mine plants after the person in memories of them I gravitate more towards that plant it’s like being close to them. Finally found a whale fin a couple of months ago at Kroger, I believe, and I LOVE it! It’s so dark and lovely 😍 Mine also has 2 fins (plus a tiny one trying to grow) but I will likely leave one in my bedroom and put the other in my living room. #tfs

The color in a hoya name is the color of the flower not the foliage. Your hawiian pubicalyx purple is just regular if those are the flowers that came from it. The hawiian purple are a dark purple color.

I would totally pull that pagoda out of the pot and let that soil/roots dry rn. More leaves are on their way out 😢 maybe adjust the soil with more perlite since you need it light weight and better drainage. New subber!! Ive been growing and collecting for about 4 0 years now. 💚😊 Glad to find you! 😊 Btw its only a matter of time until one of those fall with no anchor or stud. If you weighed one of your plants after a correct watering you'd be surprised how heavy they are and the ceiling isnt designed to be pulled on with small pressure points.
