We understand you don't always have alot going on but we still like seeing your videos even if it is changing oil. Glad to see your dad back at work and doing well. 🇺🇲
Don’t worry about the content being super entertaining Eric. Most of us did not grow up on a farm so we find all aspects of the dairy life fascinating. The little bits of information goes a long way.
I find these videos so relaxing. Oddly, an actual job on a dairy farm would be anything BUT relaxing. But fresh air, lots of variety, the animals, the crops, the outdoors, all the handy skills... seems like heaven!
I really like how the seedings turned out with the Esch Drill. Definitely seems to be better coverage. That Vortex machine seemed to have too much spacing even though there’s no rows. I can’t wait to see what it looks like in the spring before you chop. I’m curious to see the yields you get from the 3 different machines. Keep up the good work. Your dad looks like he’s getting around good. Prayer is the most we can do. Stay focused on Jesus! Jesus is Lord!
I think what I like most about your videos is that you show the everyday things that happen on a farm. change the oil, clean calf pens, spread manure... all the things that go on just part of what all goes on on a farm. I am always so impressed with how you are so good at running the skid loader, it looks so effortless. Now about your oil pan... I think we had one just like that... the old enameled drawer from an old refrigerator. Just large enough and not too tall so it fits under things with out having to raise the car or truck. I think ours went with my Dad when we sold the farm and he used it until he moved from that house to a retirement community.
For all those people that think they are having a hard day at the office, crunching a few numbers. Just watch this and see what REAL WORK is. This looks like a never ending day. I've just subscribed and will be watching more.👍👍👍
Enjoy watching all your videos. Hope you had a good mini vacation. The shirt I ordered came today and it fits perfectly. Thanks for sharing your everyday life with all of us. God Bless!
My 3 year old son loves your videos! We raise beef cattle but he loves watching "dairy guy" videos (that's what he calls you!)! He wants to know when we can come to your farm 😂 keep up the videos! You do great! I'm thankful that my son loves to watch! Not only because it's agriculture but also because I dont have to worry about your language or anything being inappropriate! Good wholesome hard work and fun! God bless!
I enjoy watching whatever you video Eric. You don't have to manufacture things to video to keep us interested this winter. I'd love to watch a video of you and your dad sitting down having a conversation about the history of your farm in general and what the future holds.
We dont watch this just for "exciting" content, we watch because we are interested in the day to day running of your farm, and that includes things like maintenance, cleaning, even stuff you do for your own entertainment. Whatever you post Eric you fill with interesting facts and that is why we watch you 😄
I didn't think farmers used spreaders anymore - it's good to see... the use of ground covers for the winter is a good idea - most farmers up this way cut the corn then leave the stalk stubs in place - your idea is better. I again have to say how clean you keep your barns - and your calves are very nice. Keep up the Good Work!!!
Thanks Eric for another great video, with some really interesting camera shots. Some days there are just so many little things to get done so you are setting up and taking down your camera all the time. We thank you for the effort you take to make these videos. The cover crops look really good, I really like the full coverage style. Enjoy your great weather.
This is definitely my favorite channel on UA-cam. You always have interesting content and take me back to my dairy days. God bless and if anything your kids will love watching your videos in the future
The great thing about farming is everyday there is something different going on. Lots of variety, some days or seasons, there is lots more going on. You’re doing a good job Eric, thanks!
i really found the cover crop info interesting.....im a landscaper so seeing what you planted and how it was doing was slightly more up my alley. thanks for another great video
Your channel is the best out there because you are authentic Eric. You are very humble and appreciative. You don't create content for us.... but rather farm and provide for your family and allow us to follow you.. ..that is one of many things that attract me to your channel...I subscribe to several farm channels and 10th Generation is by far the best....don't fix what is not broken......please?
I love the team work you guys show here! Also, I really appreciate the time you take for camera positioning. It really helps to see all those angles and the narration is great too. Finally, the editing shows you are really putting some serious time too! Thanks for sharing and you and your family stay safe and healthy!
Interesting to see the difference in the crops based on the planting method used. Find your videos quite entertaining and informative. Keep em’ coming my friend.🙏😀
You may not have much going on the farm so you say. For us city folk life on a farm is my dream. So just to see your videos helps me clear my mind from the chaos I'm surrounded by daily. Especially as a UPS worker life's a little fast pace. I truly appreciate 🙏 your videos. I looked forward to the next one . Thank you 💯. And God bless.
Just got my merch hoody in today and I love it! Super comfy and high quality. I knew I couldn’t pass up supporting my favorite UA-camr. Good video like usual Eric!
I love the look of just big open fields and a blue sky with some white clouds in the sky.i would love to just sit out there under a tree in the shade and have lots of imagination. I'm from Los Angeles so the sky don't look to good due to pollution and we don't have fields out here
Well you covered quite a few things, and we saw some new calves. That on the ground oil change was me all over again. There's nothing to grease anymore. It's that time of the year so whatever you wanna show we will watch. Good video. Peace.
Such a big difference between cattle , sheep and Horses . When i worked horse farms we came in took the horses out to pasture then we mucked the stalls , aired them out if need be then bed them back down get the hay for them and feed them up once we bring them inside . Also make sure they have water as well . Then we check on them during the day and we would feed pick and hay them . Next day start all over again .
We used to add molasses to the feed for the turkeys- they liked it! On the other hand, when I was a little kid(5 years) I got sprayed by a 50 gallon barrel of molasses - had to see what dad was doing. Mom peeled the clothes off me and threw them in the burn barrel. I got hosed off outside.
I love watching your videos. I grew up on a small dairy farm like yours in Ohio back in the 80's. Your videos remind me of my childhood. It's interesting to see how some things never change and also how others have. Thanks for posting. I'll keep watching because you are very entertaining. Thank You!
Can we have a day in the life with Eric? I want to see what you do at home while not farming. Chill with the fam and the other Dairyman members? Dinner talk and your favourite ways to relax at home.
You should try sowing your cover crop and then spreading liquid manure on it, comes up a lot quicker and gets a good jumpstart before the weeds grown. Looks good though. That yellow drill looks really good.
I really enjoy all your videos Eric. It doesn't matter to me what you are doing, I just enjoy you sharing it with us. Don't worry about "content" - some of the others who do that don't have near as interesting videos as yours. Thanks for the field tour - very interesting, and looking forward to your evaluation in the spring. Glad to see your Dad in action. Hey - I have an oil change funnel just like yours! lol Great video. Thanks Eric.
I looked out my window and saw a tractor with a manure spreader. I was able to identify that because of your channel. Greetings from Middle Georgia, USA.
hey do you have apple molasses or sugar beet molasses? in general the sugar beet molasses has an higher potassium and that repulses/replaces other minerals in your feed ration or do you keep that calculated in?
Hi Eric, I got my shirt today and it is really great! On Saturday I was driving to Pittsburgh to see my sister in the hospital and we went by a farm that had just sprayed manure on the fields. I now have an idea of the aroma. Quite strong lol. Seems that you get a lot of good exercise on the farm. Any video when we are able to share your work day is interesting. No need for you to worry about the content of your videos they are always fun to watch. thanks.
@@karencary3312 Oh I have been on a pig farm giving an electrical bid. When the farmer and I were in the barn and he saw my eyes watering he said"oh lets go outside, I forgot you are not used to this" lol.
Thanks again for a great video! I really admire your work ethic. On a dairy farm there is so much to be done. I am surprised that you actually had some free time to do something else besides dairy farming. (Don't stop showing us all the other stuff that you do!) I find everything interesting and entertaining. Have a good day!
Eric, question: Your freestall barn you have a central drive through feed passage, if you were to build another freestall barn would you have the same feed passage or would you consider feeding on the outside of the barn with an overhang etc?
Instead of getting a new planter, how about a JD planter like the one you have but with closer rows? That seems is all you need for the cover crop. If you can use the esch (sp) drill for your other crops that may be better, but if not the esch may be too complex, which may need more repairs, maintenance, etc.
Eric, question: what does it mean for the cover crop to “lodge”? Thank you for your videos! I love them because I don’t watch TV. Say hi to your wonderful family. ✝️❤️👍🏼
I like your videos and glad your doing alot better now, and thank you for showing your part of the day, and glad your cows are doing good, and how can you till if your cow is with baby, hope one day could show baby cow coming into the world, thank you for everything.
Those cover crops look good. Like you said, it will interesting to see how they look in the spring. How are you enjoying the new office you built yourself? 🍁😎
We understand you don't always have alot going on but we still like seeing your videos even if it is changing oil. Glad to see your dad back at work and doing well. 🇺🇲

Totally agree. 🇦🇺👍
Don't worry about "trying" to make your videos interesting. Your day in the life videos are 👍
Wish he would-make a video every few days
It’s so interesting
As a farmer I still love to watch it
Me too

That 6.0 gmc gas truck will last you a long time if you maintain it good. Nice reliable trucks. Good to see you taking care of it
My "10th Generation Dairyman" hoodie arrived today! WooHoo! Really nice merch!
If you film it, we will watch it. Very interesting to me at least. Thank you for sharing !
You work harder than anyone I've ever seen. Keep it up and you will be a wise man with people wearing out your doorstep!
That ending tho... LOL "I'm going to stop the video now" CUT

All the manure you put out makes for great crops. Loved the crop chat. Weed growth/plant growth. Good info.

Even the stuff you would probably consider basic, I find quite interesting. Your cows seem quite happy, and I always love seeing the calves.
Thank you for posting these videos. These have helped me get thru this pandemic!!!!
Hey Eric, your shirt that I ordered a few weeks back just came in the mail the other day! Looks great! Great video as always! Thank you
Loved the video! Also got my 10th generation dairy farmer T-shirt a couple days ago. Love it!
Man y'all have some great work ethic and organized and clean stuff!
You are such a hard worker, Eric. Such a great inspiration for your generation! I enjoy these updates. 🐮🧡🐮
Your barn was well engineered for easy cleanup. Nicely done.
Much respect coming from a dairy farmer in Washington
My 10th Generation Dairyman shirt came in the mail today, I really like the design. Thanks again!
Always working and moving. God bless your whole family.
