Ramsay is a demon in the kitchen. Marco is like a quiet menace.
Well, just remember that Marco is the one that kept a younger Ramsay in line as his apprentice, and holding Gordon down takes some powerful authority. Marco is very calm and calculating, but at the same time has a cold, fierce, quiet aura when provoked. If he says something, you listen. Both chefs can be terrifying, but while Gordon can eventually come off as just annoying, Marco always seems dangerous and unpredictable. Simply put, imagine the stereotypical mob boss.
He's intimidating as fck when he calm and just casually speaking.

I love how different the US and UK version is.
The US version is over dramatized.
And the UK version is slightly boring.
I agree the US version is way over dramatized just like everything else they produce. I much prefer the UK version.
I'm from the US and even I have to agree that Americans overdramatize many of their shows. They can't help it. They just feed off of negative energy and they make a lot of money with it unfortunately. I'm one of the few that doesn't like to see too much of that.

Marco is that Rottweiler that just stares at you. The dogs that bark and just that, all bark. It's the quiet ones you need to worry about. Ramsay is confusing, but Marco is eerie. A Fava Beans and a Nice Chianti kind.

Ramsay isn't trying to be scary but people keep comparing him to Marco. There is no comparison. They are two different personalities and Ramsay isn't purposely trying to scare people, he's just got a very tiny fuse and is a perfectionist. Marco is just a creepy but talented chef. Marco is leagues less intense than Ramsay.

Chef Gigi Mon Ami worked with Gordon Ramsay when he was Sous Chef at Marco Pierre White's Michelin rated "Harvey's " restaurant in Wandsworth Common, U.K. Gigi wrote about it in Moon On A Platter, but she also taught Culinary Fine Dining @ JobCorps- and said Gordon actually was very nice to her; kind of looked after her in Marco's kitchen cuz he had hired her as a joke; she was the only girl in the kitchen, late 80's Ever since then, kind of a soft spot for Ramsay- thats the way European kitchens were in the 80's and into 90's before everything was PC

I've never seen any show with him ( Marco Pierre White), till know I think by the way he speaks that is a master, a master that no minimize you, a man that respect everyone and don't have to shout for every tiny thing that happens with his orders... I held my breath when that guys asked him what he was supposed to do. before the tickets was in. I kind of flinched thinking "oh no rage inc!!!" ... and then Marco didnt swear or tell the guy he was useless and ending it with "fuck me" like Gordon does. This just proved that Gordon is just an arse that likes to swear and make people feel less then they are. I do like Gordon but Marco is way more professional

you forget that when marco had his 3 michelin star restaurant he was just as vulgar, in fact his temper was worse than Gordon Ramsay. Marco was known by his temper in his restaurants, so was gordon.

@MrEzPanda Gordon has rage problems because he was an aspiring pro footballer, but broke his knee in his rookie pro season and had to give up the sport. Cooking was his day job and he decided to focus on it as a career. That's why.

No, he just doesn't have a short temper. It takes a lot to bring out what Ramsay does so easily. He actually can take a lot. He just doesn't think causing people more pressure then needed, is right.
Hey guys just had my first service today as a kitchen student omg it was so awesome omg next week working along side the chefs my teacher is so touchy i was a bit scared when he got pissed with the till, but we cant go in the room where the chefs are etc, but when i was leaving he was saying how proud he was of me and i said thanks im just trying to get my gear my bag my coat and that.

I think Ramsay shouts about because that's what he learned from his mentors...like Marco. Except Marco has calmed down in the last 10-15 years while Gordon still acts like a tantrum throwing child in the kitchen.
