- Another Barbershop Tag! I love this one. It has amazing harmonies! As usual in Barbershop I had to hold a long note at the end (that was quite difficult).
I got a little bit carried away and decided to make the ending 10 parts big (just like my ,,Lost" Tag). There is again a lot of range in this tag. There is a D1 Ingressive Phonation (Inhale) and an F#5 falsetto in the final chord.

Youre definitely getting much better. The harmonies are perfect. The only thing Id say you should try and improve on are the high notes. They could use a little more support and they are sometimes a bit out of tune.

@@jmbmusic1 it can be hard to stabilize, especially if its in falsetto. If you dont wanna pay for a vocal coach Id recommend just looking up a ton of high note yt tutorials or just doing tons of takes until you find the perfect one.
@@StallionGD I actually have the singing course from the very famous vocal coach Ken Tamplin. I just haven’t had the time to dive into that. And another reason is just that I‘m lazy😅. But yeah eventually I will watch the full course and practice a lot more.

Thanks! I do not plan on making a video like that in the near future. I think David Larson‘s 2nd Subharmonic tutorial is good enough. I can’t really add anything to that. But who knows, maybe in the distant future I‘ll actually make a tutorial video….

very nicely done!! You should try experimenting with some reverb and compression to make it sound even better! Maybe also use equlization, but it seems you already are using that for the low notes. Again, very nicely done!

I am still pretty much a noob at sound editing😅 But I try to improve all the time. Little by little. There is actually some subtle reverb on the audio. I don’t want to use a lot of reverb for these Barbershop style videos because usually there isn’t much of it in barbershop music. But you are definitely right about compression and equalization. I could use a lot more of that. I just haven’t really figured out what sounds good and what works for me. But I guess I‘ll get there at some point.

I do not understand how to do ingressive phonation. Every time I try to practice it I sound like a dying dog haha

Thanks! The D1 was inhale. That has to be my best recorded inhale note so far. It‘s super solid and perfectly on pitch.
