Your journey toward becoming a red headed Geoff is coming along nicely (I'm referring to your tons of practice and improvement as well as the very nice hair.) In all seriousness, I love barbershop and I am truly impressed. Great work! I've subscribed and am looking forward to following your vocal journey.
Thanks! I do not plan on making a video like that in the near future. I think David Larson‘s 2nd Subharmonic tutorial is good enough. I can’t really add anything to that. But who knows, maybe in the distant future I‘ll actually make a tutorial video….
Youre definitely getting much better. The harmonies are perfect. The only thing Id say you should try and improve on are the high notes. They could use a little more support and they are sometimes a bit out of tune.
@@jmbmusic1 it can be hard to stabilize, especially if its in falsetto. If you dont wanna pay for a vocal coach Id recommend just looking up a ton of high note yt tutorials or just doing tons of takes until you find the perfect one.
@@StallionGD I actually have the singing course from the very famous vocal coach Ken Tamplin. I just haven’t had the time to dive into that. And another reason is just that I‘m lazy😅. But yeah eventually I will watch the full course and practice a lot more.
very nicely done!! You should try experimenting with some reverb and compression to make it sound even better! Maybe also use equlization, but it seems you already are using that for the low notes. Again, very nicely done!
Thank you very much! I am still pretty much a noob at sound editing😅 But I try to improve all the time. Little by little. There is actually some subtle reverb on the audio. I don’t want to use a lot of reverb for these Barbershop style videos because usually there isn’t much of it in barbershop music. But you are definitely right about compression and equalization. I could use a lot more of that. I just haven’t really figured out what sounds good and what works for me. But I guess I‘ll get there at some point.
For a few months now, I have become addicted to bass singing, thanks to you and all the other bass on UA-cam. And I would really love to be a part of your discord server, so by this comment I'm asking for an invitation link, if you don't mind. I am a baritone (18 yo) that have a little mastery of subharmonic singing, which i would love to improve to sing even deeper. And btw, I'm French! Otherwise, great video ! I really looove your harmonies and I can't wait to see the next one !
Thank you very much! I also became addicted to bass singing like 22 Months ago. It’s the best thing that happened to me in the past few years😄. Of course I can give you the invitation Link. Here you go: discord.gg/PUREW27s

Thank you very much!!!
Epic ending indeed!
I‘m glad you agree😄 Thanks!
Totally awesome! Not related, but have you thought of making a tutorial video on getting past the 1st subharmonic?

Huge improvement bro! Your bass range is 🔥

Thank you! And yeah, you are definitely right. My higher notes still need a ton of work.

I do not understand how to do ingressive phonation. Every time I try to practice it I sound like a dying dog haha
Maybe this can help. It’s not a great tutorial but it’s better than nothing.
Oops sorry, I forgot to add the link 😅

Your hair looks better longer !
Thanks! I think it really depends on the day. I hate my hair on bad hair days😅
Is that a D1!?
Yep, a nice solid inhale D1 ;)
@@jmbmusic1 holy maceroni…keep up the good work!
Nice cover! What is the lowest note in this?
Thanks! The lowest here is a phat D1 inhale at the end.
Was that D1 at the end a 2nd/3rd sub or was it inhale? Either way the barbershop tag sounds amazing!
Thanks! The D1 was inhale. That has to be my best recorded inhale note so far. It‘s super solid and perfectly on pitch.
Very nice!
