Super kudos to you for diving into the art of what I call, "fishing tutorials." Your videos I see are relying on both research and personal experience. Tutorials are tough on YT since this is a rough crowd and they nit pick every word you say. I do fishing videos but they only show "what I am doing" NOT "what you should do" and that's the difference. Keep the AWESOME videos coming. I said it before and I'm saying it again, YOU ROCK!
Was expecting to watch a couple videos on rod power and action. Watched your video first and figured nope, don’t need anyone else to explain it. Great job!
Wendell, love the tips you share, on baits, gear, qnd the kayak. Especially fishing only my 2nd season off the bank, on my kayak. It's much different. I carry have five plano's, one terminal, and my soft plastics, trailers. Usually 5 rod's on board. Thanks for the great info. 🎣 🙏 😎
That’s a great way to explain the difference between power and action. Sometimes, I feel some manufacturers don’t even know the difference. I have a Cabelas rod that I bought on a limb while out of town. On the rod it says “medium action”. That makes no sense! Your thoughts? Thanks man!
Yeah... I think they are trying to make something complicated less complicated in order to sell. I have seen companies use medium/moderate interchangeably.
I have a question that i hope you can help with. I am primarily a river fisher. I fish for things like large waleye and sauger primarily. For those i use a 1/8 sometimes 1/4 jig head with a 4 inch twist tail. But occasionally i go out for rainbow trout and use spinners or just worms on a hook. What power/action would you recommend?
There are a lot of rods out there to choose from... Since I havent used them all... I can tell you the best, but I did use the Lews Xfininity Stick Combo for a long time with success and it was under $100. I know there are a lot of options out there for you .
