What a way to start the day! Great video as always James! I do agree that regardless of the surface we shouldn't see any high level boots falling apart within 2-3 uses. Another thing to keep in mind, especially for consumers in the US (and potentially other markets) is that Adidas hasn't even made the AG variation available over here so if you want the preds, you only have the FG variation to choose from :( Adidas need to atleast take that step if they're going to void warranties over AG useage!
The lack of AG boots in the US is ridiculous. Recently, there’s been a bit more availability from Nike, but very little from Adidas, NB, Puma or Mizuno… you can order from Unisport, but good luck if the sizing isn’t right and you have to pay overseas shipping fees to return or exchange them.
Nike do seem to have stepped their game up, hopefully the others follow. It is always a bit of a disaster if you can't return boots that don't fit. Even for me shipping to and from Unisport is very expensive.

Durability is a hard one to comment on unless there seems to be a defect like the one mentioned in the video. There's a lot that goes into a boot lasting a long time and most of it is based on how you use them, how you run, how you strike a ball, what surface you are on, even what the weather is like. So it's hard to say which one you should get. My best advice is from the video, make sure you're buying from a genuine retailer and getting a warranty. Early Predator colourways seem to potentially have this issue, so probably avoid those, aside from that, it's all up to you. Something that fits your foot well is going to help durability too.
I tried messaging unisport on email , I got the same problems with the boots, but they said that once I used them on Ag the warranty will is no longer available… So I’m thinking will there be an ag version for the predator elite ft?

Adidas will give you a voucher for the value of the original boot, then you buy a new boot, doesn't have to be the same one, but when you buy the new boot you also get warranty on that.

What’s going on with the stocking issues? Are adidas putting out less than usual or are they just getting sold quicker? Never seen such issues with getting hold of a pair of boots in the UK.
Bit of both I think. They've been more popular in the FT model than Adidas expected so stock is low and of course that level of demand has also made them sell out very very quickly
I don't think this is a issues about FG boot use on AG pitch, I bought many FG boot use on AG pitch, didn't see any snap issues. Most likely is the quality issues for Adudas predator elite.
Just because previous boots have been okay with use on AG doesn't mean that these are. I have had FG boots that were great on AG and also ones they fell apart quickly. Good practice is always to use the correct boot for the correct surface. I would say you're partially correct though, there's definitely an Adidas issue somewhere in there. Which is even more reason to use them on the correct surface to keep your warranty intact

@@BootWizard cheers bud! unfortunately I’m one of those who will be wearing on ag 90% of the time but I’ll only bring them out for good, newer pitches. Being a 90’s baby I just had to get involved with these boots. Fingers crossed all goes well!!!
So basically, if a player has more weight, power and/or torque, they might snap. It has to do with how much stress its put into the forefoot area. It's sad
Same could be said of any boot. And from what I've seen the size of the player is very varied and also from player at different levels which could be a good indication of power and forces applied. I'm not saying that you're wrong, of course it's a factor, but I don't think it's the main factor or even a defining one because if it was I think we would be seeing a lot more breakages. It's not a constant that can be traced back to individual forces.
Maaaaaan, you just made it harder for me hhhh I was almost convinced to get a pair of either the pearlized Preds or the teaser ones but I play exclusively on AG. @@BootWizard I might just do that. One last question, please: Josh from SR4U said that the Preds in the AG version are narrower than the FG ones toward the forefoot and toebox area as the soleplate is quite narrower than the FG. I don't know if you had the chance to try on the AG Preds or not, if so, would you confirm that?
@@mehofourat9758 I haven't tried the AG Preds but I would anticipate that the shape is different. I just couldn't say if it was narrower or not. I'd be surprised if it was a huge amount narrower
@@BootWizard Thanks a lot. hopefully, it is narrower, as Josh claimed and as they appear to be at first glance. I live in a country where we don't have any retailers so I always order from Pro Direct, therefore, no return option for me.

How long is the warranty for the boots?
2 years from the manufacturer date on the label, not the date of purchase
Would the predators still be useable after sole 😊being cracked?
Short answer is no. They're either done for or the crack will get worse very quickly until you can't use them at all. Also not particularly safe
Yes James, yes! Let it out!! 🔥🔥🔥
Hahaha, just constantly sharing good news aren't I 😂😂
If my shoes are cracked, is it okay if I keep playing?
I wouldn't advise it. The crack will only get worse and it could potentially be dangerous.
Love these boots so much but sole plate is cracked and coming up after only 3 months. Still have no bad words about them though, they’re incredible
Sorry to hear you've had soleplate cracking issues. I agree though, great boots
@@BootWizard I’ve since decided to get some Morelia neo 4s and they are safely the best boots I’ve ever worn
@@yesindeed3282 great plan
☠️☠️☠️ just bought the white out FT now I’m scared. Bout to resell them
It's a small percentage who have an issue. You are likely to be okay.
Did they break
@@Behano_ nah man
@@abrahamgonzalez4153 were you playing with them on Astro ??
Only has to last a game because there’ll be a new colourway to buy by next week anyway
Hahaha so true
Do you mean the TAA one in white/red or another one?
@@pascalschumacher5373 just in general. Looks like there will be an electricity colourway next.
Maaaaaan, you just made it harder for me hhhh I was almost convinced to get a pair of either the pearlized Preds or the teaser ones but I play exclusively on AG. I really don't like the solar energy colorway but it's the only one that offers the AG soleplate. Now, I have to consider the colorway I hate the most.
Sorry!!! Maybe hold off and see what other AG plates become available
Looking at them side by side they do look a lot narrower than the fg version
@@BootWizard Thanks a lot. hopefully, it is narrower, as Josh claimed and as they appear to be at first glance. Although I hate the solar pack colorway and the look of the AG soleplate (compared to the beautiful FG one), I'll go for the AG ones to avoid the cracking problem. I live in a country where we don't have any retailers so I always order from Pro Direct, therefore, no return option for me.
My AG mercurials are cracking after a month’s wear and i have only just replaced them for the same reason.
That's a disaster!
I need a white with red band please 😊
All white with a red strap? Or like the TAA colourway?
i was thinking of buying these, thankfully i only play on FG ,i hope they last
It seems the later colourways have very little chance of an issue
Nike Mercurial vapor 15 et superfly 9 AG sont une catastrophe en durabilité. La semelle se fissure sur artificiel grass c'est nul
Sorry you had that happen. I don't think there are too many examples of them cracking though. Maybe you just got unlucky.
The nike vapor 15 elite and pre 24 have terrible soles 😂
I've not had any vapor issues yet
Mine tore at the toe box on the 3rd use a clean rip
Ah man, nightmare
The Adidas Crack Pack
😂😂😂
people get so conned by adidas repackaging recycled ocean garbage and charging you hundreds.
Well, I have to say that using ocean garbage to create shirts and elements of boots has to be a good thing for sustainability.
The prices they charge. That's an entire other matter!!!
What groups do you belong mate?
That's quite a long list especially when you take into account my main group chat which has about 30 people who are all in groups themselves and everything gets fed back into the 1 main group chat! We've got a lot of real estate covered!
dont used it on artificial

you don't look like a footballer or anything!every Football boots specific durability and its parameter.so don't judge the world best Football boots present era.
Mate, shut up, you clearly have no idea what you're talking about. Did you even bother watching the video, understanding it in any way, or did you just decide to make a really dumb comment that makes you look like an idiot. If it was the latter congratulations, you succeeded.
Go lick a Predator, might make you feel better.
