Thanks for this video, really appreciate it. I've just got a pair of Y-3 Predator in a size US 8.5, I wear US 8 with Nike and Mizuno. Do you think it is manageable as I have somewhat wide feet. Also I only play on 4G artificial pitches but really want the FT version. Is comfort or drag an issue while playing on 4G with FG stud pattern?
Hi, thank you for your comment and watching the video. Ok first things first, I can't believe you are going to play in the Y3's such a hard boot to get. 😆 But in all seriousness, I wouldn't say width is a problem at all. But let the boot break in for sure, doesn't take long. I'm a UK 8.5 in mizuno so sounds like you have the right sizing. I'm using my laceless FG on 4G pitches and have had no issues with comfort or dragging. Of course, every ones feet are different. So what works for me may not work for you. Of course if anything happens to the boot playing on 4G will invalidate any claim with Adidas. So just be mindful of that. Other than that enjoy the boot, I have another pair on order in the electricity colour and I'm hoping to get the blue/silver ones also.
Adidas had the "best" soleplate for a couple years starting in 2010 and since then refused to alter, let alone improve it in any meaningful way.. with the exception of the carbon shank in the Xghosted plate that got removed because it was too good apparently.

Hey man. Just bought these recently in the non FT regular laced versions. Played so far just 1 game on our natural grass pitch (mostly dirt, tough ground here in Australia). They were awesome! Scored a cracking goal in the game. Appreciate your insights because I will be going into a summer 6-a-side football comp which is on 4G Artificial Grass. I think the FG boots I have should be fine on that, & I appreciate you mentioned you have a pair which are fine and you’ve played on 4G pitches with no issues
@gabr131s9 Hey dude that's awesome to hear. Glad my review helped out. Sounds like you've slipped straight into the new preds with ease. Let's hope more goals are coming in the tournament. I've worn my non FT version loads over the summer, the ground is hard as he'll in the UK right now. But they've stood up well, even had a ref say to me in one game "hey mate nice boots" 🤣
@@Krissfootykicksis there a glossy finish on the limited edition green preds laceless? And do you think they will snap if I wear them on ag or 3G pitches?
@user-se5vm3hf1n I haven't seen the green version soleplate. So I really can't say on those. I've worn my laceless versions on 4G and had no issues. They do sell a version for 4G but I'm led to belive they weigh quite a bit more as to make them more durable. I guess you take a chance if you play on 4G like myself. 👍

💯 agree. There well may have been some crack, but how are they using the boots? I have boots years old and the sole plates haven't cracked.
How do you think the lockdown is on the laceless predators? Should I go half a size down? I have a regular shaped foot. Thank you.

Why on earth would you get rid of a soleplate because it's too good!?

Is the sole separation really bad on these. Just bought them and I’m worried about that
What surface are you playing on and plate have you got? I have had no sole separation on any pairs and I have the new electricity coming also.

Love the boots but quality of boot and just overall life span of the boot doesn’t seem right, especially for the price
Interesting. Have you had durability issues? I can't say I have. Maybe a few marks and things, but thats it.
Iv just ordered some and im genuinely confused to whether they do crack or not or if its just the gloss finish?
Hi, it only appears to be on the elite versions with the glossy shiny finish. The laceless version I have is a different soleplate finish.
