Do you guys also notice how much she has changed through the years??, i mean now she become more open, happier, smiling all the time, it's rare to see her always smile and being adorable like this when the first time she become an artist
Phil Marriott it is!!..you notice that as well?, its really different from the first time you're interviewing her ( or your first interview of her??, i don't know how to say it lol, english isn't my first language)
Watching this interview for a second time....a year after I first discovered Aurora. What really strikes me, in this interview...but also in general, after having gotten to know Aurora better over time....is how AWARE she is. She might initially strike some people as idk...aloof? Or flighty or head in the clouds. And yes...that is a part of who she is, and I love it. But....she's also hyper aware, focused, present...and quite intelligent, even wise. There's a real depth to her humanity...and it's quite captivating. Sadly it makes you realize how uncommon that is in most people. Myself included. In a weird way, Aurora makes me feel both incredibly inspired/enlivened....but also more than a bit despondent. Because I WANT to be more like her. I'll have what she's having...because jesus christ is it ever working. I'm a little over 10 years older than her...and yet she's significantly more self-actualized than I am. Hell, if I'm as wise and interesting as her when I'm 70....I'll consider my life a success. And yet she's only 24! That's nuts.... How does a human being become so...advanced? So early in life? I feel like I'm missing out on some hugely profound secret....
"I hate perfume...I like to smell like sweat." Ahhh jajaja Thank Yooooouuu for the realnesssss Your authenticity is a breathe of fresh aiiiirrrrrr (with a hint of sweat ;)
The best thing about AURORA is that she can explain things in her own way. And people can easily understand it because it's AURORA. You know, she expresses herself in her own natural way. It's hard to explain though, but I find that fascinating and inspiring. Now, I am excited for the next song that will be coming out after Queendom. Amazing song, btw. ❤️👍🏻🦄
Her description of the music scene in Bergen makes me think about the 80s scene in Seattle. The weather, coastal city, mountains, the connection between artists ...
What a lovely interviewer! just got on her level. Im in my early 50's and feel like I have always been like her but never got it out. Time to embrace my spacing out to ant hills and staring into grass..time to be a child again.
She's beautiful and I don't mean only on a physical aspect. She's just...as a being. Beautiful. I love her authentic soul. It so much rarer to find in this world.
Agreed. And I do _also_ mean on a physical aspect lol. I mean, she's just a visually stunning human being....attractive to a degree I honestly don't think I've ever seen in another person. And I think that's just an outward indication of how beautiful she is inside....her mind and soul and inner emotional and intellectual world. She's a truly powerful presence, isn't she? Honestly she often seems to be like the epitome of a healthy human being.....healthy in every sense of that word. If I could have one third of that....I'd be much improved....
I love the bit about perfume~ I can relate to that need to be able to smell your own unique scent. It's like when you leave home for a few days and come back and your room smells of you and it sort of grounds you? Love that feeling; that and perfume makes me sneeze/gives me headaches. I also love how she talks about moving slow on her days off. That sort of slow, mindful way of moving around your home to retain that sleepy feeling you have after waking. Can definitely relate to that, as well, especially on days when I'm home alone. :)
I discovered Aurora a few years ago right before her first album. I was listening music on UA-cam and suddenly her ‘running with the wolves’ music video popped up. I was sold and spend the rest of the day watching and listening to video’s of her. Was a fan ever since. This was a great video btw, thank you very much!!!
I doscovered Aurora about 2 years ago during a very difficult time in my life. It gave me a great amount of light to pull thru into a better, brighter place. For that I will be eternally grateful!
I discovered Aurora and her music recently.. It feel so good to listen to all these interviews that talks about her life.. she's so good in expressing herself.. She's definitely a source of peace
It's kinda cool watching her interviews from right around the time Infections of a Different Kind was set to come out. She comes across SO much differently than she did just 2 years earlier during the early stage of AMDGMAAF. Back then she was obviously shy and timid. Still the smart weirdo she always has been...but clearly a bit freaked out by the fame. But by 2018 and IOADK, she seemed both super energetic _and_ grounded...there was a really cool energy to her and her music around that time. It's like she was finally coming into her fully actualized mode as an artist. You can really see that in this interview. She has this wild glint to her eyes that I just love. *-* And now? She's a wise sage lol....who I genuinely think is only barely getting started. Two of the most recent songs that have come out(one a post-album single, the other a leaked demo) The Woman I Am...and...Wake Up.....are hands down among my favorite songs she's ever made. And if that's the most recent look into what she's making....I can't wait to see what's next.
I've seen many interviews with Aurora and I think Phil is the best interviewer for her, they match so well on a relaxed and respectful way. He seems be able do understand her in a honorable way. Funny and interesting to watch.
kollidontagasi I can see why you would compare her to Björk, but they're extremely different. They both feel outworldy and ethereal, but Björk is more of an 'adult' and aurora is a mixture of an elder and a child. Björk likes reality and aurora focuses on fantasy. I just realised the more I try to differentiate them, the more similarities I find. it's quite interesting.
She makes me feel every emotion I can possibly bare to handle, exciting, intriguing, innocent but not is this Disney's Aurora in real life ♡ she calms my body, mind and spirit great interview
I do that with my hands as well! I think it's a combination of being slightly (but not clinically) hyperactive, and being very kinesthetic. I actually love seeing that she does the exact same thing.
@@Copenhageek me too. I am clinically though. I always move. I have not ever stayed still in my life except when I got surgery and I was under anesthesia. When I was little it was really, really bad. I ran around so much that it prevented me from gaining weight. We tried all kinds of diets. Even put me on a junk food diet when I was 7 (meaning cake and pizza and stuff that's very, very fatty) but it never worked because I just moved so much and burned it all off. But then I got a prescription and that helped me. So now I don't move as much. I still move but I'm not always bouncing off the walls. I do the same thing as Aurora it's called stimming.
Just found her. When she did a cover of massive attack teardrop. Fell in love found my kindred spirit. Helped ke embrace and allow who i am as a person. Its ok to be dif and love that part of urself. Thank you!!!!
I believe this is one of the best interviews I've ever seen with Aurora. Kind, and respectful - letting her speak for herself. As I've got into her music, I've discovered what an interesting person she is, I mean her way of seeing the world and how she wants to be a force for positive change. Plus she's extremely funny - she seems to have a wicked sense of humour!

I'm surprised that she didn't know about the Bjork song Aurora. Both are extremely talented & beautiful from the inside out.
