I can't see your reply on the comment section but yes veganism is a mental illness. And I have watched interviews of x vegans who have had life damaging effects from being vegan. And not eating animals does not save the planet or help it in any way. I could go into detail of how not eating animals would cause thousands of problems. I can give you links to people who were vegan and became ill with auto immune problems lost there teeth there mind skin going bad etc etc

Clever Kat I disagree. There are endless cases of people suffering on a meat-based diet, which far outweigh the cases of those on a plant-based. It is proven that s BALANCED vegan diet is healthy.

@@BoysOnFilm No not natural meat. There will never be a vegan baby. Vegan mother's who put there child on a vegan diet lose there children from them almost dying of undernourishment. Vegans only last 4-5 years before they start losing there mind just facts bro.

That's what I love most about her. She does not compromise who she is...ever. Ever. And still totally goes for it. That attitude is so inspiring. Like you said, it's a breath of fresh air.
I used to worry she'd turn into yet another hyper extroverted shallow fame hungry celeb. That concern feels silly now.... She's the real deal. And I'm so happy she exists at all. I'll be a fan of her and her creations for as long as she, or I, live.
She definitely joins my own little pantheon of humans...and sits very nicely alongside another person I feel the same about...Bjork. And for similar reasons. They both express their humanity in a very similar vein.
"I don't really have a comfort zone"... That's life goals right there & exactly why I love her!
I don't know why people bring up Billie Eilish in relation to Aurora or vice versa. I like Billie. She seems cool. The album is fun to listen to, but the only connection they have is that Billie is a fan. Their styles aren't similar at all so there is no competition between them. I get so inappropriately ruffled when people compare Billie and Aurora just because they are nothing alike. Billie is much more comparable to artists like Melanie Martinez and Halsey, in my opinion.

Billie seems a lot more mixed up and darker in her music than Aurora, I don't get the connection much either, but Billie was inspired by Aurora to start so it's a valid question. I do get worried by the message Billie's music puts out there, she's a bit freaky. Listen to Aurora kids! She'll set you straight!

It's so humbling and wonderful to see Aurora speak now -- in contrast to how she used to speak. She's always been inspiring, but now she speaks more like a self-possessed confident woman, and less like a shy child finding their way in the world. I feel moved by her growth as an artist and as a person. She remains curious, but is less afraid to take up space in a room. All I can say is... Fuck yeah, aurora.

It's as if she transcended the normal humans' level of consciousness... Just amazing.
She bears the weight of the world on her shoulders yet she manages to deliver her message with a smile and a beautiful melody. Almost as if the audience are invited to listen rather than feeling like a sermon. Forgettable patronising pop it is not. BRAVO Aurora, you arrived just in time. Nice interview.🏆
I once being eaten by the negative emotions that I kept to myself for more than one year, and I felt so empty inside. But after listening to her music, I found the missing part of me because she reminds me who I used to be. I can't imagine how life could be without knowing her.
What extraordinary with Aurora is that she always has well thought answers. She has a fantastic insight in human mind.

The Seed feels kind of metal, especially how heavy they do it live sometimes. I would love to see her collaborate with some metal bands. Vocally and stylistically she's like a combination of Bjork, Enya, and Dolores O'Riordan, but seemingly more emotionally mature and at peace that most people her age.

As a hyper sensitive person I can tell that in fact Aurora reaches the extremes of emotions she wants to capture in each song
I've never heard of Aurora, until I saw the live version of "Helvegen" with Wardruna. She REALLY, understood the dynamics and the feel of the song. She's truly a rare and brilliant artist.
I think it's clever how she uses music to promote her interviews. I'm a huge fan.

What a gorgeous interview; indeed, as someone else has said here too, not really an interview but a conversation, in which Aurora is her beautiful self, is funny, and let's go just enough to make me want to listen to her album again and again, and indeed all her songs, as I just can't get enough of this wonderful little elf. ‘You cannot eat money’ refers to people abusing nature in the name of profit. I have no clear idea of how you connected this to veganism as they aren’t related at all, and I’m pretty sure Aurora is pescetarian.
Please correct me if I’m wrong though.

I think maybe he took a more personal approach to the meaning of the song and with the song surrounding the environment many people are vegan because they know what huge impact the animal agricultural industry has on the planet. I don't think maybe he was trying to make that the clear and decisive meaning of the track but rather just tying into what he feels himself to be a more personal take on it and his contribution to helping the environment. :) And also being vegan is essentially a boycott of people abusing nature in the name of profit (on the larger scale) just to tie it back to what you said. I know that might be a controversial topic for some people who are not vegan but I just wanted to provide a different perspective. But I do agree with you about the song interpretation but the great thing about music is that you can take the overall theme and have a broader and sometimes more spesific conversion.

Phil, what a great interview! I've also been watching your Aurora interviews since the beginning, and damn, you've improved it! I really love how, as others have said, it just doesn't feel like an interview but more of a conversation. In a lot of other interviews with Aurora, I feel the interviewers talk way too much and somewhat stop the beauty in her words, hand movements, eye movements... you know what I'm talking about!
Also, really loved the atmosphere in this video! Feels super chill.

A small constructive critique for this interview, and perhaps some in the future -- try to ask more thoughtful questions that cannot be answered in a yes or no, and when you ask the question don't get so nervous that you answer it for them as you ask it. Be confident and fearless in your line of questioning. You'll get far more thoughtful answers that way.
