I never got to experience Boneworks for a long time, since I'm on quest 2. I absolutely loved Bonelab and didn't really understand the hate towards it. However, there was always a part of me that wanted to play Boneworks, since so many people said it's campaign was amazing compared to Bonelab. And luckily, with the power of Labworks, I was finally able to experience it. And oh my god. This may have been the best experience I've had in VR in a long time. This moment right here truly made me realize how amazing VR is. The looming presence of the clock tower over central station paired with the music was absolutely breathtaking. This was probably my "I get it" moment, the moment I realized why so many people were disappointed with Bonelab's campaign. Thank you SLZ for making such wonderful experiences within these 2 pound bricks strapped to our face. VR wouldn't be where it is today without you.
Was really sad to see how in Bonelab that we didn't have a looming goal in the distance like in Boneworks. I think one of the coolest things about Boneworks was how you could literally see yourself getting closer to the tower, and then finally going up those station stairs and getting the WILDEST goosebumps. I really someone mods the entire Boneworks campaign into Bonelab so I can relive it :)
Walking off that train into the station, and looking up at what was the time tower in the dark and stormy sky was almost frightening. Knowing that my journey was almost at its end was both beautiful and saddening. I can’t seem to describe it, but this song both motivated me and gave me chills. The game was amazing, albeit I was playing on a 1050 Ti with ultra low graphics settings and still having massive Frame drops. What Am I perfectly represents this moment. What Am I could be interpreted in so many ways. “What am I doing here? Why am I even here?”. Yes I do sound like an English teacher, but I really don’t care right now. All I’m saying is, the soundtrack has a lot of emotions, and a lot of 5 star ratings from me. Thank you Michael Wyckoff.
I had a 1050 ti and I could run it ok, there were a lot of frame drops but it was at least playable, now I have a 3070 and I think its worth the upgrade, at least to a 2080 ti

i know a friend who downloaded a mod to skip all the story and play around, but he missed out on so much! sandbox was always fun and i worked my butt off to get near 100% completion for all sandbox weapons and everything, but my favorite thing was definitely the story and the soundtracks. the experience was double as memorable due to it being my first pcvr game, and i adored it so much! so if you ever plan on buying it, dont skip the best part!
I also downloaded a 100% file and almost missed out on this masterpiece. I just wanted to play sandbox, so I got a 100% save file, since I thought that the story will be boring and not worth my time. OH BOY WAS I WRONG. I luckily had performance issues with that downloaded save file, so I just decided to quickly finish the story and get all the props/weapons on my own save file with the help of UA-cam. I am so grateful for these performance issues lmao. I cannot wait to beat the Tower and dig into the rest of the levels. I haven't been this excited to play a game IN A WHILE. This game is so fucking good that I want to stand up for 3 hours and wave my arms. I heard that after the Tower levels, there will be medieval-type of levels, so I'm pumped up for that.
