Your skill shows you can make anything look good! In case aseprite is unavalable, here's a tip: you can resize the canvas manually with Ctrl-E and input height and width in pixels. Also: www.guidingtech.com/15156/ms-paint-tricks-image-effects/
some tips for ms paint since i have too much time on my hands and ive been using it for years: 1) if you need to make the pencil size bigger than the settings have, use ctrl+ the plus symbol on the number pad. this goes for other sizable tools like the eraser or spray paint can. 2) if you want to change dimensions more easily, at the top left next to select, theres a resize button. after that, click on the pixels tab. theres an option to maintain aspect ratio if you need it. 3) the "color 2" option is actually very useful in most cases. you can use it with any tool by right-clicking instead of left-clicking. the eraser is an exception; it uses "color 2" as the main colour because "color 2" is supposed to be the background colour. 4) if you want to change a colour that the fill bucket cant cover all of, use the eraser tool. what you do is set the colour you want to change as "color 1," and the colour you want to change it to as "color 2." after, change the colour by right-clicking and dragging. 5) the select tool can be EXTREMELY helpful when using the spray-paint brush to shade. you can equip it under the brushes menu. first, set the base colour down and put it as "color 2." then click select, select all, and copy. make sure not to copy anything else during this process. shade the object with the spray paint brush (its going to look messy). after, click the arrow under the select tool and click "transparent selection." finally, you can paste the previous image and instantly clean up any mess from the spray-paint brush.
Pro tip: you can increase the brush size beyond the “maximum” by using ctrl + to increase brush size and ctrl - to decrease. Works with all tools I believe.
There should be a name for this artstyle!! I always call it "Not Quite Pixel Art", or more commonly, "MS Paint Effect mmmm" (yes i do include the m's, it's an inside joke)
this is amazing ! im going thru a bunch of mspaint art vids bc i love the program, and this takes the cake. your understanding of colors is impressive, and the technique of laying down color and messily going over it to make a dingy effect is brilliant. good job !!
It's not about the tools, it's about the artist, good job. I did my first digitally animated stop-motion movie in MS pain, stick man Gollum running across the a scene.
Hi! Nice videos! Can you make a video about the stages of development in pixel art, how to spot where you're at and how to work towards the next stage? Thanks!
Use pencil tool and zoom in all the way, that's what I do atleast (anti alliancing doesn't happen when using pencil tool) (hell even if you're not gonna be making pixel art, still use the pencil tool.. but maybe on a thicker size) hope this helps :]
W😀w...🙂me i like doing art in ms paint Yes you are correct no palette, no hotkeys,no layers,no transparency etc. but i love the result of my art using ms paint painful 😅
