PD was kind of the Judy Garland of her generation: very talented but a very tragic life. First, basically kidnapped, used and abused by that weirdo couple who took her away from her mother, forced to work like a dog and have no childhood or normality in her teen yrs, and even once she got free of them, undiagnosed bipolar disorder upended her personal and professional lives for so long.
Wow, I never knew her, just checked her out, she wrote an autobiography “ Call me Anna” Anne Hache wrote “ Call me crazy” similar life - all subjected to MK ultra.
Carolyn took the life of Timmy, and the parents are accessory for disposing the body... the sentence was very light. Carolyn should get at least 10 years. and parents should have 5 years each. .what a SHAMEFUL FAMILY they using thier money to get away.it.
The judicial system is so unbalanced. Victims and their families suffer endlessly but the perpetrators get light sentences and then continue with a new life. Another true story the guilty one was given life in prison for murder, which is 20 years. If it's life, it should be entire life. He was out in 6 years and could start fresh The victim however......
I read that Tim's body had since been found.....at least some of it. The real-life Blairs evidently cut him up & put him in concrete blocks & put in the water. Horrible!
Gosh I loved Patty Duke! And every one of her movies are phenomenal. She was a natural, but I won't lie, I get tired of seeing her grieve over dead kids 😭😭😭😭
I think the mother of the girl friend should have sentence for murder because Timmy was a live when they return to the apartment & mother redirect the action of the husbond & son to dump Tim's body in the lake, althought their daughter had stable Timmy, she should have been sentence for man slaughter, & the father & son for accessory the murder, so all parts the crime would have been sentence.
I agree. The fact that both Carolyn &her brother thought that was okay too....should have made Timmy think seriously about leaving. I was in my first real relationship & actually saw my boyfriend's family being verbally-abusive to each other, from the very first time I sat down to supper with them. They treated me with disrespect too, but I was new to the dating-scene & had everyone telling me 'I was too sensitive' or 'He was such a nice guy.' I wish I'd trusted my own instincts. But I learned......so THAT is a very good thing! :) I've been single over 10 years now.
This resembles "A Killer Among Friends". It's so sad that this young man's body was never found so the family could have full closure. Why do people do terrible things like this? People need to see this movie.

Rich girl was just like her abusive mother. I’m sure watching her for years beat her father seemed to be okay in her eyes. Since dad never left or called police on her mother convincing her even more. Being rich and entitled didn’t help either. Her not getting her way wouldn’t dare be tolerated and she expected her family to help her and they did. The whole bunch makes me sick. Rich people thinking they are above others or better than you because they have more money. They all deserved to rot in prison. The parents are just as guilty as if they killed him their self. He may of been saved if they would had took him to the doctor but we will never know cause they will all evil and only thought of their own azzes and protecting it. Patty Duke did an outstanding performance playing the mother of the murdered victim. It’s just so sad his life was taken from him so soon ,really before he even got to live much. His death was just senseless and cruel no doubt . Our judicial system just sucks and it seems to protect the guilty more than the innocent. May he R.I.P. and I pray his family found peace as well cause I couldn’t even imagine the pain they went through and continue to go through.
I tend to agree; think Carolyn knew exactly what she was doing, she clearly was uncomfortable with her mother getting angry with her father in front of Tim & then hitting him....but she felt it was 'fighting'. I don't think its a 'rich person thing' as much as it was a 'we're better than others, period' attitude. Look at how fancy even their lunch was, when the detective went over to ask questions about Timmy. They all held themselves above others & Carolyn was a malignant-narcissist. She felt she was a prize & the fact that Tim 'dared' leave her......she wouldn't allow that.
That lil gal didn't have respect for him in the beginning So what did he actually expected to come out of the relationship? The Mom was abusive to the Dad. Like Mother Like Daughter✌🏼
I know right?!! Carolyn had been abusive to him almost from the start, yet he acts surprised that she continues to do so!! Even if he was willing to talk himself into thinking the slap was an 'anger accident & that she really was 'just meeting her old boyfriend for business'......there were more incidences. He should have walked away the second time she disrespected him & never looked back.
Ppl on the flip side ,, How about if that was your daughter being abused , ? U would Totally Not Appreciate your daughter being treated that way ,, So think about it !!!

The things money can do 😫🥺they all got slaps on the wrist for murdering that young innocent man 😔its sickening 🤧😷
I read that Tim's body had since been found.....at least some of it. The real-life Blairs evidently cut him up & put him in concrete blocks & put in the water. Horrible!
WOW
This was good . I love all the old lifetime movies
Yes they got off way too easy!!! Thankfully there is justice when they face eternity.
Mother's know. 9 months she carried him. She knew him well.😢
VERY GOOD MOVIE . PATTY A GREAT ACTRESS. ANY MOVIE SHES IN IS GREAT.
I always watched The Patty Duke Show, always loved her.
The punishment doesn't fit the horrendous crime!!! A load B.S.!!!
Gosh I loved Patty Duke! And every one of her movies are phenomenal. She was a natural, but I won't lie, I get tired of seeing her grieve over dead kids 😭😭😭😭
I love the old school commercials!
Most natural actress
I can't belive they gave her 17 years!!
Here hear Sharon Spencer!
He should have known something wasnt right when the mother hit the father im so sad for tims family
Aww, these commercials bring back memories 😢
This resembles "A Killer Among Friends". It's so sad that this young man's body was never found so the family could have full closure. Why do people do terrible things like this? People need to see this movie.
I just mentioned that movie a while ago she's also in that one where she lost her daughter to a fake friend
I wish I could find that movie
Because life as we know it has ALOT of evil. 😢
I love it when lifetime was good!
These commercials are everything !!!!!
How appropriate this movie is as I wait for the Johnny Depp verdict!! Yes women can be violent and abusive. Prayers for all victims. Get out when you can..been there. Don't make excuses!!

@@bergeronjoann1707 I was just watching the movie during the verdict. I believe this story was appropriate because violence by women against men is real. Sorry if it ruffled your feathers ! 🪶

Well said!
Patty Duke is ALAYS superb!
What?
What???
