- My summer bass fishing trip in the Lennox & Addington Highlands of Ontario, Canada during the Civic long weekend in Canada, which is the first weekend in August. I usually make theis trip on Canada Day weekend on July 1, but the cabins weren't available at that time. I arrived just as a bad weather system rolled in and I think that may have hurt the fishing prospects for smallmouth bass. I brought some silver maple rounds to make a Swedish candle fire.

Nice fishing boat!
17 foot fish n ski with a 115 mariner. Wad a good find, it has the comforts of a passenger boat and a fishing boat. It does between 35 and 40 mph
I can't wait to get out and catch some fresh fish when the season starts!
Some season openers won't be good this year because the weather is a month early.

Thanks man, you too. It's always fun to get up there, but most important isnthat I actually catch enough fish to justify the expenses 🤣

Thanks, happy resurrection day to you too! The little ome was sick so she couldn't come out to our big family dinner at our parents' house. I was hoping to cook some fish for my daughter. I think thetrs a photo online of the post office!

Steak looks good, the hickory piece you had in the BBQ, what moisture content was it ? Got some hickory for the first time 😃, going to save it for my self , 👍🚜🪵🔥🏰
The Straka was seasoned with allspice, garlic, hyme and worcestershire. The woos was super dry, it's been sitting g around for a couple years. Which hickory species is it?
