I saw Shirley on letterman show, he was such a jerk!! Carson was the king of late night!! This was a great show about chakra, which I don’t understand much, but learned more about on Johnny’s show - he was respectful, made me laugh & Shirley was delightful❤️❤️❤️❤️
She is a cool lady. To one who has no experience no convincing explanation can be given. To one who has experienced, no e planarian is needed . You are more than you know, yet one day begin to know.
She really has awareness ,a higher concesouness ,back then ,that people couldn't relate to, because they weren't open to the concept of truth, and that there is more out there, higher levels of energy and dimensions...she is very intelligent, l love listening to her talk,because she does make sense!
I did go to Shirley's seminar & got a phone call about assisting at Shirley's seminar & I felt I'd learn more by being a student so I went as a student. I'm ready to shift back & assist/work; even if I had to start as a volunteer. The chakras spinning does make me happy.
Though this video is so long ago, I now have sensation of my Chakras. I have no sight of them, but question that they are these colors as appearance. But as I feel, or think sometimes on certain things, I catch color flashes sometimes, and colors do correlate with some types thoughts. CW Leadbetter describes much on these. Shirley is a neat lady.
Contrast how Johnny got along so well with Shirley as opposed to how David Letterman insulted her. Shirley told him, "Cher was right! You are an asshole!" Plus, Shirley and Johnny are old pros. He could tease her and get away with it. And I bet he was doing her in the bargain.
This was a comedy show. Shirley McLaine is an actress and comedienne. She's got a sense of humor and there is nothing wrong with that. I saw this show in 1988 when I was 14 years old when it first aired, and it was my first exposure to the chakra system. I thought it was kooky but interesting and I found the way they presented this to be engaging, funny, and not disrespectful at all. Today I practice yoga and am very spiritual and feel the same way. Maybe you guys shouldn't take such offense.

i dont understand what carson is trying to achieve by making smart alec comments and asking irrelevant questions . Despite his best efforts to prevent her from doing so, shirley has done a pretty good job trying to explain the chakra (kundalini) system to an audience, most of which is not evolved enough to be ready for this science. This is not about understanding new aspects of life, its all about trps.
My problem is that one of my chakras is turning from blue to orange. As a result I feel bloated and dizzy occasionally. I went to my witch doctor and he said the increasing orange tint in chakra number 6 is from eating too many carrots. He suggests that I eat more blueberries and start sleeping on a bed of nails.
She was happier before her daughter’s book came out. She has deep regret but still cannot even apologize to her daughter for not being a mom. Come on Shirley where’s all that awareness now??
Does she have any evidence that what she is saying is in fact true? No. She, like most of the commentators here, finds these ideas appealing and therefore deems them to be true. This kind of pagan mysticism is much more palatable to an American audience because unlike Christianity there is no call to repent of your sins and self-centeredness and acknowledge the Creator against whom we have sinned. When you want to keep sleeping with your girlfriend, talks about chakras are much more interesting than a sermon about the God-man who died to save sinners.

When someone is truly elevated they remain calm and Shirley truly is elevated.
