Johnny Carsons reaction @ 4:32 is priceless ! It was good to see Ms. Winter again, they broke the mold when she was born, and Ms. Potts is still doing well in 2022. Great show clip, thanks for the memories.
Loved this clip. If I didn't know any better, this evening, with Johnny, Annie and Shelley could have been have a Mighty Carson Arts skit. Johnny's looks and funny comments nailed it. The beauty of it all was that there were no ego issues or discomfort between the ladies. I think Miss Winters took a guess about Miss Potts and the umbrella, but who cares 😂.It was priceless.
I miss Shelley Winters. Great, great actress, great, great character, always a fabulous interview. She could be so silly and wacky, but when she talked about acting and her art, she was brilliant.
Shelley Winter wrote two books about her life, and they were juicy!! My big regret is that if I'm not mistaken, she was working on a third when she died. What wouldn't I give to get my hands on that. She was such a funny lady!!
I lost my home in a natural disaster. Within a few months, I found “Shelley (Also known as Shirley)” And the sequel…”Shelley II”. I had to replace them. 😢😂
This is one of the best "off the wall" conversations that you will find on a talk show. Another great unplanned conversation is the the Johnny and Doc Severinsen had about Thanksgiving which is also on you-tube.
Such a funny slice of a great time. They were all so entertaining and the whole thing just felt so different than today. In the best ways possible. I really like the way this comment came together. I think it may do well.
A few years back people said the Tonight Show isn't the same with out Johnnny. I said Oh not true I like Jimmy., LOL years later, how right his fans were. He just knew how to make a joke that didn't offend the guest but was spot on. Unreplaceable.
Annie Potts did not end up appearing in the film Stick. The studio told Burt Reynolds, who directed it, that they hated the movie he turned in. They forced him to reshoot the second half of the movie using a new writer. It was delayed 8 months and Annie Potts was not in the final cut.
Potts is acting here. ☝🏻 the whole interview she acted instead of just being herself. Boring interview. Loved Johnny though! His show was great. ❤️💐🙏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I love Shelley but she is notorious for not remembering her costars. After the press tour for Poseidon Adventure, Carol Lynley was quoted as saying, “I worked with that woman every day for three months and she doesn’t know my name!”
I had the hots for Anny Potts in the early 90's, how fucking rude of Shirley to disrespect her! Her reputation certainly did not demand such disrespect! Shame on Shirley!
Carson’s reaction? Priceless!
Johnny Carsons reaction @ 4:32 is priceless ! It was good to see Ms. Winter again, they broke the mold when she was born, and Ms. Potts is still doing well in 2022.
Great show clip, thanks for the memories.
I miss the brilliance and humor of this man. 🥰🙏
Me too
Annie Potts is a man.?
Shelley Winters is always a scream! Just love her.
Thanks.
Shelly Winters is a hoot !! Love this lady !! 💗👌👏
The great Miss Shelly Winters amazing actress funny as all hell 🙏
I love all three of these people! Thank you! Still holding out hope for the full shows❤

It was an educated guess, because almost everyone in the graveyard scene was carrying an umbrella. 😊
This just 2 days after my 19th bday. Loved watching Johnny then and still do.
This is actually really good, love the ladies.
Shelley, you were Amazing 👏 ❤
Great, great, great. That’s what I have to say. Thank You very much from Fresno California.
Shelly is a legend.Annie is apple pie.
Priceless!!!
Annie is so adorable then and is now in 2022 as Sheldon’s mema!😘
MeeMaw***
Loved her in Ghostbusters, she was perfect in that role of secretary, funny how some of the smart mouth comes thru as Meemaw.
You couldn't write this. Perfect 😂
This made me lol ! 😂 Thanks
I miss Shelley Winters. Great, great actress, great, great character, always a fabulous interview. She could be so silly and wacky, but when she talked about acting and her art, she was brilliant.
Gosh I LOVE Annie! Sooo adorable!!
Shelley was always a hoot playing Roseanne's Nana and Bev's mom on the Roseanne show.🤣
(Estelle Parsons played their mom Beverly.)
Oh yeah, they wrote the character of Nana Mary just for Shelly and she ran with it, and clearly appeared to enjoy it.
Shelley Winter wrote two books about her life, and they were juicy!! My big regret is that if I'm not mistaken, she was working on a third when she died. What wouldn't I give to get my hands on that. She was such a funny lady!!
I read one of them. She was riding around central park with big name celebrities at 5 am in the 1940s smoking weed, no wonder her memory is shot. ❤️ 🤣
I lost my home in a natural disaster. Within a few months, I found “Shelley (Also known as Shirley)”
And the sequel…”Shelley II”. I had to replace them. 😢😂
JOHNNIE KILLS IT

Shelley Winters is such a delight
love the boom mike clearly in the shots
The interview got good when Shelley intervened.
I love Shelley!❤
That was funny , because in that particular scene numerous actors were holding umbrellas ☂️
Paul Newman - 'I made love to you for three days!'
Johnny Carson - 'But he didn't have an umbrella'
A few years back people said the Tonight Show isn't the same with out Johnnny. I said Oh not true I like Jimmy., LOL years later, how right his fans were. He just knew how to make a joke that didn't offend the guest but was spot on. Unreplaceable.
Are you old enough to have watched Johnny when he was around?
Jimmy? Kimmel? He’s awful!
Classic Carson moment is right, Oh man good 1.
Nobody can Get The Looks He Could Dish Out Tonight Show not the same anymore!! I Also Miss Jay He Was Good Glad Johnny Chose Him !
Johnny didn't choose Leno to replace him. NBC picked Leno. Johnny had nothing to do with his replacement.
Wasn't Annie Potts in Designing women?? TV show
Yes and also Pretty In Pink
Yes, priceless!
Yes.
This appearance was BEFORE Designing Women premiered, so that is why it isn't mentioned.
Annie Potts did not end up appearing in the film Stick. The studio told Burt Reynolds, who directed it, that they hated the movie he turned in. They forced him to reshoot the second half of the movie using a new writer. It was delayed 8 months and Annie Potts was not in the final cut.
😅🥶😅🥶😅
You know Jonny , I wanted to write a neat comment , but I forgot it too 🤣
Gotta love Meemaw!
HILARIOUS

"Woody, Buzz!" - Annie potts the voice of Bo Peep
Now Annie is Young Sheldon's Me Ma
Annie Potts is cute.
Shelley is hysterical!
I love Annie Potts!
Classic!

Johnny's Hall of Fame reaction, and Ed's off-camera guffaw.... a perfect TV moment. Never getting this stuff again.
Who's here after Young sheldon?
Me 😂
Hilarious! 🤣
Nana Mary from Roseanne and Meemaw from Young Sheldon. The one thing these ladies have in common is they both starred with Laurie Metcalf.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😊
Carson never learned to shut up and let his guests speak
Someone balance me quick. Is it Meemaw?
They should have brought Oliver Reed on.
wow.. im 42 just now realize she the same lady from designing women..and very attractive.. in ghostbusters very diffrent image
meemaw brah
Anne Hampton Potts (Nashville, Tennessee; 28 de octubre de 1952) es una actriz estadounidense de cine y televisión.
Annie Potts oli "The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson" -ohjelmassa vuonna 1984, joka oli myös George Orwellin kirjoittama kirja.
😊😁👍👌🍁♈
the night before George Carlin;
*Shelley Winters
Ms. Potts has a very sexy voice and face. 😍
she don’t remember meemaw
Film Harper
Shelley was usually drunk on these talk shows
Ok, but why does Annie Potts seem too young to have been on Carson.
She was a babe
Film harper
Add lib makes this a gem. Now Tonight show scripted with lousy writers. Blahhh.
I love Shelley but she is notorious for not remembering her costars. After the press tour for Poseidon Adventure, Carol Lynley was quoted as saying, “I worked with that woman every day for three months and she doesn’t know my name!”
She had Lyme disease.
@@matthewdeckerofficialand?!
ALEX JONES WAS RIGHT😅😅😅😅
Usually is.
Shelly Winters was classless.
Would you throw her off a boat to get to Elizabeth Taylor?
Shes a bar fly that made it big
