It’s rare to find others with my hair type, so I’m glad I found some people who experience my struggles. It’s so hard to enjoy your hair when you have both straight haired girls and curly haired girls with beautiful, defined hair while you can’t even wear your hair down because of how bad and frizzy it is.

I agree! I have 3A hair (or used to, now it's just wavy) and the CGM worked for me for about half a year--until all the build up from no sulfates caused extreme dandruff and hairfall. Had to go back to sulfates. I still use some CGM methods like scrunching, plopping, the LOC method, basically just modified it to work for my scalp and hair, but not following the CGM rules strictly anymore.

I am so glad you came to this stage of jour journey, because I experienced a very similar hair journey, when I thought imy hair is not healthy, then realised it is curly, then tried cgm and then just learned how to blowdry it, because what is the purpose of having healthy hair if it still looks like shit most of the time? Hair dryer isnt really damaging your hair and if you use heat protector, it is really just the best solution.

Agree, when you take care of it, don't use the hairdryer too close and don't use any flat irons there is no damage. Besides, hair grows out and with regular trims there shouldn't be any problem. I used to blow dry my "fine but lots of it" hair every two days for 10 years, and never had any problems.

Love what you said about heat! I've always had naturally healthy and long hair and so do the other women in my family. I think a lot of it is about genetics. Not only have I been using heat multiple times a week for over 10 years, but I even got harsh chemical straightening (it had keratin in it but was still filled with other harsh chemicals), and still my hair is not dry and is well nourished, very long and doesn't split much. I also tried not to use heat for about a year as people scared me about it as I used it often and it actually damaged my hair. I really now believe that blow drying your hair after using traditional conditioner helps lock the moisture in. Stop heat shaming ladies!

Hey girl! So I just moved to Swindon (not far from London) recently to live with my long distance boyfriend 🥰🥰 and my American blow dryer that I got off of Amazon doesn’t work here obviously because of the plug socket. I’m very new to the UK and my boyfriend is the only person I know. I’ve been watching your vids for a very long time and have been on your hair journey with you and it was amazing that I could take your recommendation from the link on the blow dryer you have! They don’t have that blow dryer in America and some other products you sometimes recommend. Just bought a babyliss blowdryer and I’m waiting to try it in a couple days when I wash my hair :) just wanted to let you know that watching you was so nice while I was in NYC and I felt like I could relate so much because I feel the same way about my hair. Your content is amazing and now since the products that you usually recommend are more available to me in the UK, I’ll def be trying them out more! Thanks for all the tips and tricks, Isabella!

Have you tried putting all your top hair into the curlers, but all the way up on the head? That does wonders for my volume. I basically dry my entire head like you do and then put my crown section in three rollers. That lifts the hair extremely well and gives volume even on the second day. When I take out the rollers, I smooth over it eith one swipe of a cold shot and be done ✅

Your hair is fine and thin you cannot change that! And Healthy hair feels more dry than regular hair.. Only water can moisturize your hair although there are multiple conditioning products which make the hair feel more soft.. take one single hair and tug on it, if it's slightly elasticy it's healthy hair!!!

Love the hair flick blow dry style! It's what I like to do when I don't have my hair curly. For soft hair you need to try the Jessicurl Aloeba Daily conditioner, it has changes my hair game A LOT!! Nothing more moisturizing than that and no Glycerin, so no frizz in non-optimal dew points :D
I wonder what your curl journey would have been like if you'd used a diffuser. Read from a bunch of people that air drying their curls just does not work for them.

ooo you should look up hairsticks as an alternative to hair ties/bands (less damage), you could also try air dry wet-sets (with like sponge rollers or rag curls, or just consistently retwisting your wet hair until it air dries) if you want to try a curly style :) i think wet sets would work well for you since you already have a natural curl pattern
either way your blow dried hair looks super freaking good!

my hair is curly so it means its usually on dry side but whenever i wash my hair i use a natural hair mask (it can be whatever mask you like egg mask, avocado, oil....) so my hair and my curls always look nicer, however when i use heat it becomes even drier. i wash my hair 2 to 3 times week and always use mask before washing it i rarely have split ends and my hair reaches end of my back. going natural changed my life trust me, i dont use too much products. but everyone is different this works on my hair im not really sure if it will on others hair.

Ok so I just discovered Holistic Habits on YT and she is amazing. She has long, thick, glossy, healthy, hair and has so many tips on how to get it naturally. She uses a thermal shower cap (you heat it up in the microwave and put it on your head for 15 minutes) and it’s supposed to make deep conditioners and oil treatments penetrate more. I hope this helps! (Ps, I love your videos and you’re beautiful)

Hi, I love your videos . I don’t think many people likes the way their hair looks being air dried with no products. I have the wave like you do. Not enough to do the curly girl method , but not straight either. I tried a product you would probably love. It’s what they use on Kim kardashians hair to give it that silky shiny glass hair. It’s called WOW dream coat look it up you just spray it on sections then blow dry it with the way your doing it with a round brush and blow dryer. :) also I bought one of the blow dryer round brush that blow drys and straightens at the same time. It is a game changer for me.

I feel you girl❤️ the only way to make my hair look decent is by using heat... without it, my hair looks like a big frizzy mess (I have thick hair and a lot of it). When my hair is short it looks like hair from the 80’s😂

That looks so good and Im happy for you :) You can actually use a blow dryer / dryer brush which seems to be much easier bc it is a 2 in 1. I haven't tried it yet, but using a hair dryer and a brush is so difficult to me 😪

No shame against using heat isabella 😊 i also struggling with frizzy unruly airdried hair and I’d rather damage it a bit than looking like a hermoine doubleganger all the time ahhah

Isabella you can put some tape on the part of the brush that your hair gets stuck! Well okay, a better brush would be cool, I just thought of a temporary alternative so as to not hurt your hair❤❤

The best blow dry products out there:
Potion 9 from Sebastian and Ciment Thérmique from Kérastase.
They are heat activated, that means they act like non rinse deep conditioning mask that needs heat from the hair dryer/flat iron to penetrate into the hair cuticle at the same time it makes the blow dry process faster and easier.
You will end up with super smooth and shiny hair with no heat damage.
You can use the potion 9 without heat because it tames frizz, defines the curls and its soooo moisturizing! The perfect product for people with wavy hair like yours.

GIRL guess what I bought today that U NEED to make a video trying, ok so ur a nails girl and so am I, and I own the same Germanikure nail file as you, and yes it is amazing however have you ever heard of a nano polished glass nail file (or glass nail shiner) it’s a different type of glass file they can come SO CHEAP and leave the edge of ur nails so smooth u can see it SHINE, I saw ads for them and I literally thought they were fake then I saw one in a shop near my house and I tried it and it SO GOOD, usually they are marketed as a file and a buffer but I didn’t want to buff my nails so I tried it on my big toe and omg it was like a mirror, any way so I seriously think since they leave the edge of your nail so smooth they are superior to the Germanikure ones, and I really think u will like them.
