/ kabra.jpg THE CANON RP SUCKS! 😡 or does it? well let's make it worse Follow me on TikTok: / kabra.jpg Video was shot on the Canon R6ii Audio Shure MV7
It must be really hated. I got it at canon USA refurbished with the 50mm and the 24-100mm for $800.00! I got no complaints other than I am new to photography(only two years) and at the beginning didn’t know how to manage the camera but once I started watching videos and messing with settings(f stops,SS,aperture) then I started seeing that it isn’t that bad.put on some ND and CPL filters and good to go!
It was more of a dig to the UA-cam camera community, when it first came out I think people expected a super camera lol. It's a great little guy and I love it. Glad you got a great deal on it!
Over the past four years, my RP camera has been a mixed bag of reliability and frustration. Snagged at a steal during a local camera shop's Christmas special - just $1200 AUD (approx. $800 USD) for the body and an EF-RF adapter - it seemed like a dream. Initially, its eye AF feature dazzled me, a welcome relief from the constant lens calibration issues of my EF camera. However, its inconsistent focus on eyes has become a major headache. Half the time, I had to take my eye off the EVF and select the focus point on the touch screen before capturing a shot because the camera tends to miss the desired focus area. Moreover, its menu system is quite illogical and difficult to navigate through. Why must adjusting ISO be such a chore, buried in its menu rather than a simple button press? Furthermore, the faint shutter noise produced by the camera seems artificial and bothersome to me, and the shallow shutter press feels quite unsatisfying. While the specifications of this camera may appear decent on paper, the user experience tells a different story-it's quite dreadful. The RP has seriously taken the joy out of capturing spontaneous moments. I am going to ditch this camera soon and acquire used cameras such as 5D III, 1DS III, or 1DX.
Full frame camera that shoots max 4fps for candid moments? lol really? Get a Sony a6100, Canon r10, or m6 II. In other words, something cheaper, lighter, more accessible, and MUCH faster.

Whatever gear works best for you to get the job done, that's all that matters.

You're the first person I've heard of that has brought attention to my hate. Pretty wild! Thanks for the video David!
Thanks man! That means a lot to me 😊
It’s just a body, the Lens is the paintbrush and the body is the canvass .. I suppose lol
