i think im going to go with the dmx for the quests and related features, and go with a tamagotchi for my run of the mill virtual pet experience. im a casual fan of digimon and really just looking for a virtual pet game like d-tector that i had as a kid, or muichiz monsters

GREAT VIDEO, I think my only gripe with the DM20 (and the reason I got the DMX2 instead) is the lack of a fridge function, iirc I can only stop things for around 3 hours instead of indefinitely which isn't ideal for busy days at work 😓
I actually prefer the nap feature as it allows me to put them to bed early, but freeze is better for long term pausing. The ver revival did add the freeze functionality, but I really miss the nap feature...I wish we could have both tbh.

So, you got some well place view points, but I disagree. If they're the same price, I'd recommend the DMX way more. firstly, the DM 20th, it just poops, WAY too much. and as someone who DID start out with it, I wasn't even aware you could limit it to one, I feel like I doubled up by mistake some of them time. The Arena or what have you, I find more Confusion then the DMX's mission mode or what have you. It categorizes the combat in a neat package, even if it was an extra mechanic. Plus I think it's a safe bet that a large number of DIgimon fans will appreciate the RPG aspects, considering how many of the games share them. I'd personally only recommended a 20th if it's A, much cheaper then an X where you find it, and B. Don't care for RPG aspects in your Vet Pet. Otherwise I find the DM X way more engaging and easy to manage then the 20th.
Oh yeah absolutely it's a matter of opinion for sure, I just feel a toy with less mechanics is easier to recommend as a starter. And yeah totally agree with you on the poop
I wish we got the 20th RENEWAL because it added the Freeze, if I recall correctly, as well as lowering poop amount/poop timer increase. That's best for beginners. For those with DM COLOR those are basically the RENEWAL with a smaller but complete roster since ALL PATHS HAVE A MEGA. 20th encourages the double partners but most veterans just let the babies poop 4 times and never clean it until the JOGRESS which is sad. I WILL SAY DM20 I use more at work for the simple training and often just use V5 egg for MACHINDRAMON. I use the WAVE 4 GREYMON shell the most because A VERY NICE ORANGE!

Its really nice when you can get them both lined up so youre cleaning and feeding both at the same time. I just needed any pet to test with my Flipper Zero F-Com, but im happy with the DM20 as my choice. Its been super easy to mod with open patches for soldering nearly anything i need, good lines with multiple choices, a simple but significant battle system (as opposed to leveling but only single battles on others) and i can always just tab it and reload my data after i sleep: they dont grow at night anyway, so why not just preserve battery? For the price and roster the only other device I'd consider right now is the PenC.

Yep, you can take the batteries out of the DM20. The DMX you pause indefinitely or take the batteries out. and the Digimon Colour series you can either pause indefinitely or turn off.

Hi, im trying to find a comparison video of these recent digimon vpets on which ones are fake and genuine. Too many knock off these days and would like to know how can u tell if it is genuine or not
So I'm AWFUL with Vpets, I love them but often forget them for days, by this point, I may as well have a subscription with Duracell CR2032 batteries XD That said, the DM20 is VERY forgiving for me, love my little monster box man, these guys get me.
I bought my friends the Dm 20 and the pooping and sleep mechanic was too annoying for them. I think the complexity of the Z would have be a more welcoming to a newbie than dealing with the problems they faced.
Awhile ago this guy made a history of all tamagotchis the video was like maybe 25 minutes I really want you to make a video like that with digimon virtual pets please think about my idea 😊 I’m sure others would also love

I basically followed the steps you said.
I got a DM20, then a VB, and now I'm going for a DMX and other non-digimon v-pets.

There are battles on the actual toy itself, unlike the original ones where you needed to connect to other toys to fully digivolve.

The screen quality is the biggest indicator, a lot of bootlegs have very low quality images on the screen. There are no fakes of the DM20 though.
