    Thank you thank you forgiving a Riders review not a review of somebody that's never been on a Ducati before and proceeded to tell us how awful it is after 15 or 20 minutes of riding it thank you

    I own this bike, only put 4k on it this year, but maaaannnn is the torque great. Downshifter feels notchy to me but that may be by design. Can’t wait to add some accessories over the winter: slip on, steering damper, and ECU flash. Awesome channel!

    Nice bike man ...i love iT ❤️❤️❤️
    I Wanna buy one in a few months.
    15 years ago i had two bikes...Kawasaki z1000 and after that a gsxr 750 k7
    Its been 12 years now that i dont have a bike anymore.
    Do you think its managable (and safe) to ride such a monster after 12 years of not riding a bike ?
    821 is also An little option but honestly i love the 1200 more.
    Grtzzz

    • @BrandonBicasso
      @BrandonBicasso  5 років тому +1

      Sure, I'd take a safety course as a refresher. The beauty of newer bikes is the ability to change the mode to reduce the throttle response and power. This one has that ability. I say go for it after a safety course.

    Hi, I’m looking to buy my first motorcycle. Do you think this is a managable bike for a 35year old beginner? I don’t have a big need for speed, I just love the bike the way it looks and sounds, ducati’s always been a dream. I was thinking about a 821 at first but then changed my mind, as I was told the 1200 rides smoother and I will probably want to go bigger soon after...I’m obviously going to test ride it once I got my license end of this month. But just wanna hear your thoughts on that... thanks

    • @BrandonBicasso
      @BrandonBicasso  6 років тому +1

      Kevin Willems I'd get the basics down first. Maybe take a safety course and get the M endorsement on my license. If I remember correctly, the 1200S does have power modes so you could turn the power down until you're used to the bike. Great bike, but not a beginner bike without the basics.

      I started on a Monster 1200 as an older rider with only a Motorcycle Safety Foundation class under my belt.

    • @mikefry6765
      @mikefry6765 6 років тому +1

      Kevin Willems if you start your riding career on a 1200 Monster you will never learn to ride properly it will always be the master of you, start on something more manageable and really learn to ride it once you have some experience then move up to a bigger bike otherwise you will always be intimidated by it

    • @aluisious
      @aluisious 6 років тому

      No dude the 1200S is not a good first bike. You haven't ridden, your mind is not up to speed with what will happen when you twist the throttle. Guaranteed you will put this into a ditch or worse when 1 second of throttle twist gives you more than you can process. Even the 821 is fast...the idea you'll need "bigger" is bogus.
      If you really want a Ducati, start with a Scrambler or a 797, or the 821 if you must. They're all plenty fast but the 1200s will bite you.

    You kept referring to the S1000 are you a Double R owner OR the single R naked option? I almost bought a single R before getting my 2017 Yamaha FZ10 . Came down to the s1000R , sueprduke 1290r , Tuono 1100 factory and the monster 1200. Went FZ10 becasue it combines the inlne 1000 and sound of a v4 with the cross plane crank 998 , and being brand new the hype was big but man I'm tellin ya a naked r1 was no joke, retuned for low and midrange power (as well at top end) it freaking screams! It's my favorite bike, it's a superbike that's comfortable, upright, cruise control with insane power, torque , sound and character with the cross plane crank 998. I'd love to see you do a review of the fz10, call a Yamaha dealer and tell them ur a motovlogger doing a review and they'll hook you up. I'd love to watch a professional review from u on it. Hook me up?

    • @BrandonBicasso
      @BrandonBicasso  7 років тому +2

      By S1000 I refer to the Suzuki Gsx-S1000. Maybe one day I'll get a S1000R ;). But yeah, the FZ10 is a monster and the cruise control for me is a big plus even on a super naked. Normally, I travel outside of my area to get to certain roads and having cruise control makes that ride easier. And professional review? Lol, not by a long shot, but I appreciate the compliment! Every video I learn something that I could've done better so I look to make each one better.

    Gorgeous bike but has rear brake issues. There should be a recall on it however they don't seem to bother with it. To those who'll say you don't need a rear brake in an emergency situation think again. I actually backed away from buying a used one a year ago for that reason alone.

    • @BrandonBicasso
      @BrandonBicasso  5 років тому +2

      The XDiavel had some rear brake issues but was covered under warranty. Odd that there isn't a recall on the Monster. 🤔

    • @8marky8mark8
      @8marky8mark8 5 років тому

      @@BrandonBicasso With that much power you'd think braking would be exceptional. That's the only thing that prevented me from getting it. Thinking of CB1000R or the XSR900 now (both of which have working brakes).

      @Snoopmasta 5 років тому

      Yes it has. You need to go off the throttle so the adviser was wrong about that. Stay on the gas on upshifts but go off the throttle on downshifts and she will gladly do it for you. :) Hope to ride the 1200 "non S2 the day after tomorrow and maybe buy it. The quickshifter is an option and can be refitted - I'll order that refit right away. ;)

      There's one at nearly every dealer near me. I don't think that battleship gray business played too well with the Ducatisi. Not really a huge fan myself. Now if it was Duc yellow like that new 821, there'd already be one parked in the garage.
      I've watched some other reviews. Most of those guys run it in too high a gear and it doesn't sound like much. In the rev range you were riding, it was a bloody symphony. Well done sir!
      It was much bassier than the 900 engines in the Panigale and Supersport too.

    • @BrandonBicasso

I consider them kind of "that crazy friend you have, who is really fun, but you only hang out with him occasionally because you just know he's going to get you arrested" like damn they're fun, but the things feel like a caged animal - it just wants to go. Great to ride ever so often but not what I would want to ride every single day. Really cool machines, though.

    Try riding with two hands. Also try taking the bike through some curves. Anyone can go quick in a straight line. Come down to Australia and ride where we ride. You will be hanging on white knuckle tight. Gripping with every muscle in your body, even your but cheeks, trying to keep up. No time to talk and wave your hands around like your waving to you mother. Focus on the road and the next curve 100%. That's what it's about. 🏍🏍
