Just placed my order for one, thanks Dave! Finally got to where I could order and found place still in stock! Replacing my shite NRG Plasma seat that ive already replaced by the vendor once for being defective. Heres hoping I have the same luck as you mate!
@@davecamyt Thanks for the video, I think I’m going to purchase the seat aswell, is the back solid when braking hard, the rear of the shell doesn’t ‘pop out’ or anything does it?
Im not convinced Eur500+ for a sim racing seat when I can get a properly race homologated seat for nearly half that. If they had haptic slip sensors installed in them, I could see the USP there, but not really getting what they're offering here?
would also be good to include measurements for the bottom to the seatbelt holes in the back, as they always give the outter dimensions only. looking at the spec sheets they never mention it, making it very difficult to find something thatll work with a QS-BT1. the simlabs speed 3 is like 10cm too low
@@douglasingram8881 drill a hole or use a 4 point one! This seat is so good. But, I don’t know if you saw it, but it is not homologation for real cars.
@DaveCam so what seat do you actually prefer? The O-Rouge C2 CF of the Sabelt SRS-1? I'm on the market for either one of them and don't know what to choose so help me out a little. I value your opinion. Cheers, have a nice day mate
I paid £1300 for a seat but that was Herman Miller Aeron. Worth every penny. Not sure I would pay £500 for a sim racing seat but if you are in it all day why not?
@@Gepeperde For me it is just the other way around. In my bucket seat I got lower back pain very fast, just because it forced me to sit straight up too much. Haven't had this issue since I changed it for a Sparco R333 with its adjustable back. Just goes to show, nobody is the same.
Is it possible for this seat to fit on another rig, like any GT Omega? I know nothing about rigs, but I might get one next year. I like to buy something once and never replace it unless it breaks. I'd pay that much for the best seat. That will literally be my everyday living room chair!
If I’m having to pick between the SimLab Speed1, and the Sabelt SRS-1, which one would you recommend personally? - Is the SRS-1 significantly hotter compared to the SimLab? Fully shipped theres a price difference of around 150 euros for me, but honestly don’t take that into account in this scenario.
What are people doing about the heat generated in the bucket seat tho. I got my window open and a big fan Infront of me and within 15-20 minutes my arse and back start to sweat. I like the O-Rough seat but that's also very expensive. Anyone trialled anything?
I wonder why they don't make proper fitting cooling gel inserts instead of just the generic stuff we see on all these racing buckets... That cooling gel is amazing, at least on my pillow at night haha
Thats very nice, but... Considering i can get real car seats, from real cars that have only just been loaded into the scrapyard today, for 15£... 550€ is a hard sell. Does it even have heated seating? No? Well i doubt itll have massage either then. But you can have all of those things, for 15£, with real leather, when you pull out the passenger seat of a decent high end mercedes from the 2000s. And the biggest joke is, most of them just fit, they dont even need an adapter plate. But if they dont, you simply drill out a metal plate with the appropriate holes where they need to be, and then it all bolts together. Im sure the seat is nice, but its definitely not a value minded choice.
This is completely true. I used to have a leather Volvo seat and it was great. The only reason I changed is because it's much easier to fit transducers / bass shakers to a seat with a fibre glass shell. If you don't plan on going down that route, then yes, a 2nd hand car seat is the way to go.
@@StePhillips yknow, its funny, when you're shopping between those seats, "typically", the passenger seat gets less action and is in a really good state. but there is those really weird ones, the ones that get you thinking. the drivers seat is barely worn, but the passenger seat side support is just collapsed... i'm convinced it was because the chauffeur's wife must've have an oversized dumpy 😂 but yeah i mean you can even find fairly recent stuff from stuff like golf gti's and they'll be bucket-like seats, typically fake leather if its not vintage, though.
I think Dave just did a review and advice on his chair to recommend it to other people that may be interested in purchasing one. Give the guy a break he’s great at what he does and it’s a lot better than most of the other people doing reviews
@@sloth_energy alright I get it. He should have took the caps lock off. All I’m saying is if Dave decides to do reviews then he would be great at it. Better than a lot of other reviews that I have seen on UA-cam and so he should if he chooses to I’ll be happy to watch them 👍

Thank you for the review. Seating and audio are underrated in simracing . This helps a lot!
And there I was yesterday asking where the yellow seat went 😂
Hahaha I literally was just reading your comments about it from yesterday's stream 😂
Demon tweeks have these in stock in the UK. Just helps avoid the import fees. Just got mine today as I need a comfortable seat for my old bones.
I have old bones too, is it comfortable as Dave is saying, I’m worried it’s not got enough padding ?
I just got a BMW E90 car seat, and it's the best. It's the most comfortable seat I've had, and you can adjust it in every way.
I have the Sabelt GT3 in my car and they are very comfortable. I will say they are made for smaller waited people.
I don't think that's a bad price to be fair. The black does look very good 😎
I have space evoL so comfy I have bad lower back problems but can do some time in the rig in the sparco I love it
Finally you have the black one! :)
I may go with a hybrid 😁
@@davecamytthat would be interesting the yellow does look great you should definitely try mixing them together 😂
I'm looking for a bucket seat. I might consider this. Thanks Dave 😈
Honda Civic Type R seat from the scrappys for me at £70. Just a couple of brackets at the front required to fit it.
Ooo.. new wheel? I hope you get to trty out the sim-lab Merc F1 wheel!
@davecam just ordered mine! Is it easy enough to add a bit of extra foam under the padding for lumbar support?
