      I understand your message Megan, but that helplessness comes in waves when terrible things happen in the world.. I'm sure she won't stop, and it's good to remind her of what a great job she does at helping make this world a better place, but I feel like the feelings she described are valid and real. In an ideal world, we would all feel totally empowered all the time to do good for the world, but sometimes, when life gives you lemons, acting like they're strawberries just won't cut it! I'm a sociology major, and when things like this happen, it's a time for me to reflect on what I'm putting out to the world, of reflecting on what matters and how you can contribute to highlight what matters, and this is what Lilly is doing there! ;) I wouldn't worry about it, because as I experienced it before, that wave of helplessness goes away, and when we're lucky, it brought with it beautiful seashells of wisdom and strength that you can then use to better yourself and the world around you! ;) Peace! xxx

      terrorism is designed to scare people out of living their life and fighting for love, peace and acceptance. We have to work through our fear to continue to do good.

    One of the most devastating week ever. So many families lost their loved ones. Something needs to be done and now it is more important to have gun control laws. People at such young age lost their lives. I'm trying to find answers but i feel more and more helpless. We should educate people one generation to next generation- everyone should pass on a message to build a better future. All we can do is spread more love and positivity and hope for a better future!
    To all the families who lost their loved ones this past week, remember humanity exists and united we can do something. Keeping everyone in prayers. Sending love from India!

      OMG it is I've just realised

    • @brookeklaseen119
      @brookeklaseen119 8 років тому +6

      I agree about needing to spread love and positivity. But I'm sorry gun control will not stop these shootings and killings if this man had wanted to kill 50+ people in Orlando he could have gone and bought a pressure cooker and made a bomb. We don't need gun control we need a change in the society that we live in. Because guns don't kill people, people kill people.

    • @12yench
      @12yench 8 років тому +6

      Gun control cannot stop the issue; it just merely adds an obstacle. Americans has the right to own a gun and that is part of the Bill of Rights... There's a reason why it was part of this important document. The root of this issue is the lack of education and compassion for others. We, as a society, need to teach the younger generation to care for others and actually use their brains. The older generation also need to make changes within themselves.

    • @monicayadav0891
      @monicayadav0891 8 років тому

      I agree but easy access to guns gives sick people an opportunity to take lives. I am really devastated since i have heard about all the incidents.

      Well if people have easy access to guns when they feel emotionally unstable they can react stupidly whereas if they don't they can't. Everyone having access to a killing machine from the age of about 5 is not safe.

      Or maybe the opposite as well. When people think about the whole world it seems to big for them to make a difference. But if you ask 'What can I do to make things better locally?" it seems a bit more possible. Then if everybody did the same thing it would be all good globally as well.

    As a Christian I can't believe anybody from any religion could do such a thing in the name of God. Even if it is a sin, we are not the judge and at the end of the world, no one has to answer to any person. You only have to answer to God or whatever you believe in. I

    • @abbyfultz1001

      I am so upset about what my people and other people have done. I think God is looking at us like How dare you kill one of my creations? No matter what religion you are a part of, it's the same thing. I think people of all faiths would agree, we were all created by a loving God who gives us all common grace, even to atheists. So how hard is it to show some of that grace to others. Blessings to you Lilly and everyone on Team Super for spreading this message of hope and love. I also want to extend my sincere apologies to the LGBT community on behalf of all religions. Sorry for being long-winded but I couldn't stay silent about this. God Bless.

    This feeling of helplessness is soooo real. I went to study in sociology to try and "be that change you want to see in the world" type of thing.. and when things like this happen, I feel soo helpless, like it doesn't matter what we do.. but then I read about all the incredible acts of solidarity, and I'm reminded that not ALL of humanity is wretched, and that the parts that are worth saving are EPICLY worth saving! Love you Lilly, keep bringing positive vibes to this world, what you do DOES matter. XXXX

      It makes me so sad that people who think horrible things and do terrible thing represent Christians. We don't have to agree with everything in this world but when your actions do the opposite of what Jesus would do what was it for? Whether you agree with a person choices or not most of the time it doesn't change their personality or their worth as a human. Jesus loves everyone. he loves everyone no matter what they do or have done and that is what I love about him. That is what we have to show as followers of Christ.

      +King SoHo Sexual sin isn't allowed in any religion neither is lustful thinking yet a lot of religious persons only demonize homosexual sex acts etc.
      Christ came so that we all could be free from sin, if you are a Christ believer. All sin takes us away from Christ.
      The point is if you really are a Christian or a muslim, you would never condemn other people's sin because you should be focused on your own. Similarly, no Muslim would attack someone far less during the holiest time of the Islamic year. Neither does any Christian religion sanction killing.
      The shooter represents hatred stemmed from mental instability and misinterpretation of religion. There is no room for hate in true faith.
      My heart goes out to all those who were senselessly murdered. They were just celebrating their lives in their safe space and should not have been murdered as a result.
      If you are in Orlando donate blood. Donate supplies. I am researching whether there is a fund to help the victims families bury their loved ones. Will get back to you.

    I'm the typa person who felt so disgusted by the attack for TWO reasons. Firstly you don't get to take life from anyone whether or not you agree with their own personal preferences, idc who's gay, bisexual, transgender, of another religion, likes peanuts, hates puppies or likes cheese pizza. Cause let's face it those are all someone's personal choices which are none of my business.
    Secondly how can people see it justifiable to send the same hate in a different form and disregard for anyone's personal choice to an entire religion. the fact that people turn on an entire religion who try desperately to explain that they are not violent, just goes to show that we can never solve these problems. Hate caused the attack and responses were filled with hate as well, you look at that and notice it's a lose-lose situation. Humanity will always have difference why do we try to tear it apart because of those inevitable differences?
    I was cut by the whole thing and so saddened. Not because I'm muslim, american, gay, or Afghanistan.... i'm actually none of those. Simply because hate is winning humanity.

    Hearing about the shootings this weekend really broke my heart. I feel like that as a society, we think that we have to agree with everything someone does in order to like them or be kind to them. I'm over here all like no, that's not it. Just because we don't agree with someone's lifestyle or religion or don't like the things they do doesn't mean we can't be kind to them, love them, and be their friend. No matter what, we all should be positive and caring to those around us💕Love your positivity Lily! Keep it up! #TeamSuperForever!

    It makes me sick how in America this happens over and over and over again. And still the government, media and news still but zero blame on their gun laws. They say guns don't kill people, people kill people. That is just so horrid, because yeah sure, guns don't fire themselves, but the fact that so so so many people can get these guns so easily is pathetic.

    • @Lainytainy

      Mass shootings on such a regular basis in one of the most developed countries in the world should not happen, and there is no excuse.

    • @yourmother6238
      @yourmother6238 8 років тому +2

      England & America are more or less the same, there both first world Countries & incredibly developed. But you rarely hear about this kind of thing happening in England & I think it boils down to the fact that they've banned the use of guns in England. Even the police are restricted from using gun, if the use of guns becomes banned in america these shootings would definitely go down.

    • @Lainytainy
      @Lainytainy 8 років тому +5

      Its so true. I'm Australian, and our last mass shooting was in 1997, after which the government banned almost all automatic weapons, and tightened gun control immensely. They also bought back all of the guns people already owned. There has been no mass shootings since that time. I really don't understand how America cannot see that tightening gun control is all they need to do to prevent these terrible occurences,

    I strongly agree with what Humble and Lily is saying. Being a Muslim myself, being mad at someone is highly discouraged. So killing is undoubtedly an unforgivable sin. We are taught to be tolerant of everyone and respect them and their ideas no matter if you disagree with them or not. The fact that people are always looking to generalize a religion or culture saying that it causes a person to do something is absolutely wrong. It's amazing how on the other hand, the man who killed Christina Grimmie was just seen as mentally ill, and his religion/culture wasn't a "concern". Why can't it be the same for the gunman who killed so many in Orlando? Oh yeah, because our society is so bias. We all need to stop being ignorant and look at everyone as individuals and not blame their religion or culture on their actions.

      winter32842 Yes, I have. But tell me, how would you know that his motivation comes from his religion and a Christian's motivation doesn't come from his religion? You know them personally so how can you possibly come to that conclusion. And even if it does, it's about the way they see it/ their perspective, like Lily said. That doesn't mean that the whole religion promotes that.

    • @winter32842
      @winter32842 8 років тому

      Aadiba Haque I know because they openly states it. Christian terrorism would be abortion clinic bombing since attacker was motivated religion. When a Muslim bank robber kills people, it is NOT because of Islam since bank robber killed because he or she was motivated by money. Hope you see the point.

    I can't stand it when people associate one person with an entire community! One person's action does not represent a whole community by large. In that manner a terrorist is a human after all, so does that mean ALL humans are terrorists? NO. stop with the ignorance. What one person does is his own action and responsibility.We need to stop this blame game. The Orlando shootout was so irrational! Just because he didn't support the LGBT community he decided to kill them instead? What is this need to prove who is right and who is wrong. It's not always black and white. Just because someone has a different opinion than you doesn't make them wrong, it just makes them different! Live and let live! Gosh! *sigh* What a devastating week.

    so I just reached this..for no reason I was just bored.....but I just want to correct humble's statement. Islam cannot make a person do bad thinos because that is not what Islam promotes. Islam only promotes peace. if a person decides to do something bad that is their own choice and Islam in no way would really have an influence on the person decisions I admit there are persons who do these things and say well the person/s who they do it to were going against the rules of Islam but that person is just ignorant and not a true believer because if they were true believers they would have known that you cannot force a person into Islam. Islam is a religion where a person has to want to follow it and not forced to follow it. god said that he will be the judge and that we have no right is deciding someone life. we can only try to show the person the ways of Islam but we cannot force them in to it. so if a person does terrorist related things it is just because of their own ignorance and that proves that they are not true believers so long story short Islam is only meant to spread peace and violence is not something this religion would ever promote. also Islam is not always the reason people do these things some persons just have emotional problems and other stuff but I won't be able to say because I was never in the persons position so I don't know what is going through their mind......hope this all made sense :)

    "I always wondered why someone didn't do something, then I realised I am someone." That's my favourite quote, and I'm not sure who it's by but it's amazing. I think it really relates to what Lilly was saying and the message she was trying to convey. It's really impressive to actually get up and address these important issues and I'm very thankful someone did.

    Thank you for talking about this, Lilly. Some people are ignorant and intolerant to changes because it hurts their ego. The events occurring for the past few days have been impacting my life severely, especially because I have never lost a loved one. Christina has had a positive impact on my life and knowing that she's no longer with us really hurts. The Orlando shooting was truly horrific and unfortunate. My heart goes out to Christina's family, fans and as well as the victims' families who were killed in the shooting. 🙏🏼💞

    I love you Lilly and thanks for vlogging. You inspire me so much. I love your vlogs because I get to know you so much better and I know that you are a better person. I believe in humanity as well. But lately I have been saddened by the people's behaviour towards others. I love positivity. I love the Earth, but I hate the world. I know this is complicated but this is how I feel. I try my best to help anyone. I even helped a friend out of depression and my friend and I inspire so many people.
