Absolutely Stunning!! I learn so much from you. All we’ve had is rain. Actually t don’t think we had a day without some rain. I’ll be praying you receive rain soon. When my kids were little we needed rain so bad, I have some American Indian in me, I said let’s go do a rain dance. I had no idea what I was doing. We had so much fun & neighborhood thought I was nuts! Guess what, it rained that night. Wasn’t in the forecast either 😂😂😂😂😂

Hi Lineke! Wow so easy, love the way you come over several times with the white and the black until the super real cloud is built, by the way is it real it isn't raining or dry in your country? When you mention it on instagram I thought you were jokin, because your country is well known to be surrounded by water. Lots of love my dear friend 😍 💖 🌷 🍓 😄
Hi Pilar, Thank you so much for your compliment and I am sorry to report that is hasn't rained now for almost 3 months!! 🤫😱the crops are dying and the pastures are yellow... so we all pray for rain and cooler weather (it was 32 - 38 degrees for a long period) But we are Dutch and we will survive Hahahahaha 😂👍🌺😁

06/17/21: Hi Lineke. I'm a newcomer to your channel and I am blown away by your work (I've seen others on your Instagram). I am a beginner and I love how you made these clouds look so realistic and I am hopeful to learn from you. What I'd like to know is, the blue handle shading knife you referred to, how do you spell the "Pomp___" still knife so I can try to locate it? Thank you for sharing your beautiful talent. I intend to seek other tutorials done by you.
Hi Conishkee,
Thank you so much for the compliments and welcome to my channel ^^
The blue item is a Panpastel knife, here is a link for you so you can locate it: www.amazon.com/Panpastel-Sofft-Knives-Covers-Round/dp/B00EO723EQ

Hi Shriyash, I am very sad to report that my cat Shampoo died last night....
He was breathing bad so I went to the veterinarian. He is 16 years old and the vet listened that his heart was not good any more.
We had to put him to sleep and he died in my arms very peacefully.
I will miss him and I am happy that he was with us for 16 great years ^^
All the love - Lineke
I am sorry to hear that. But god bless him and my prayers are with him and you. I know it's very tough time for you and others love ones who were been touched by his beautiful soul and and naughtiness nature. He will always be missed. Please don't ignored your health in this difficult time and i know it's sounds cliché but that's what he wanted to see you to be happy and his sixteen years on the planet should be cherish because of you and others care taker from your love ones. And i will be the biggest fan of him forever and ever. He is watching you and his love ones from other side of the world that we can't see but he can see us. And he always wanted you to be happy and his love ones with a beautiful smile for sure.
Please don't stress out on anything and take as much as time you wanted. And don't feel pressurized because no body is going to judge you for taking your time for healing and grief. Most importantly he was in your arms for his last time on this planet earth that show's love and affection that you always have. I was‚ i am and i will be the biggest fan of shampoo forever and ever for life.
Thank you for these words and your prayers my dear Shriyash. My tears will dry up and I will smile again for sure. He was a very funny fellow and I will cherish him in my heart forever and ever!
Here as a tribute, you can see him in action on my 3D4kids channel.
I was watching it and my smile already is coming back ^^ ua-cam.com/video/tNkCxokAHRY/v-deo.html
Thank-you for the learning opportunities I am so grateful.
I have one question, how do you, or how can I, protect a charcoal sketch to display, can add a protective spray with a Fixative spray?
Bedankt voor uw hulp.-
De Nederlander.
You are very welcome Dutchman!
And yes you can, keep it at a distance of about 50 cm when spaying ;)
@@LinekeLijn Wonderful 🙂
Thank-you

Hi Andrew, That is the Panpastel knife www.amazon.com/Panpastel-Sofft-Knives-Covers-Round/dp/B00EO723EQ
What tool is that you used to smudge out the clouds?
That is the panpastel knife

what kind of spray do you use for varnishing your pastel artwork ? if you answer it will be great and if you don't have it is completely ok lineke. sending lots of positive and motivating energies. and thank you for every Friday tutorial . and i will be looking forwad to next friday step by step tutorial
HI Shriyash, I have a simple trick for this! :D
I use very cheap hairspray - keep a distance of about 40 cm - apply a thin layer - apply a second layer after 3 minutes
It really works!
You have a great weekend too my friend and we will meet again next Friday :D
Thank you so much again
Do you know what that shading padded knife the blue one is called
Stunning. What is the knife that you use for clouds?
Thank you Ankan! And that is a Panpastel Pastelknife
@@LinekeLijn thanks a ton
Can u tell us what kind of ur pencil and stuff..
(Edited) I mean where can I buy it?
Sure Gita, its pastel paper grey, pastel pencils a sharp knife, some charload and voilá ^^ Most of it can be found anywhere on the internet
@@LinekeLijn ah thank you so much for responding me^^
Hi, Lineke. I don't mean to turn this into a free tutorial. But I tried this and my pastel flaked off rather than coming off in a powder form. I wonder if I bought the wrong kind. I tried smearing it anyway to see if I could make your lovely clouds, but no luck. I also tried to post a picture of my results to give you an idea what I'm trying to describe, but I don't see a way to do it with youtube.
Do you think I'm using the wrong kind of pastel stick? The one I'm using is called Cray-Pas.
Thanks so much. I really want to get this looking even half as beautiful as yours.
Hi Alan,
That is very strange, your pastel powder should work.... Maybe you are using the wrong kind of paper?
Make sure it is Pastel paper and mid grey of color. The Pastel I use is by Rembrandt but any kind of pastel should work.
Also I looked up Cray-Pas but that is an oil pastel? Oil pastel is not the correct pastel, please use the standard Pastels: made with chalk ^^
@@LinekeLijn Thank you, Lineke. I asked an artist friend of mine who cleared up the difference between the 2 kinds of pastels. I'm not a pastel person, so I didn't know there was any difference. I'll try again. Thanks for your time and expertise.
^^ You are very welcome Alan and good luck!!
What is that blue handled knife called
That is a panpastel knife Mike ;)

What is the blending knife you are using
It is a Panpastel knife Michael! they are really nice. Here is a link for you : www.saa.co.uk/pan-pastel-artists-pastel-knife-covers-no-1-round-1-x-knife-5-x-covers-9643.html
@@LinekeLijn Thank you so much. I actually found them online and ordered some yesterday. Thank you for providing this tutorial. I think it will take some practice. I tried with white pastel and a charcoal pencil but I didnt have that particular tool. I used a plastic palette knife but it did not work very well.
Como é o nome desse instrumento em forma de colher, podes me informar?
Isso é chamado de faca panpastel, aqui está o link: www.amazon.com/Panpastel-Sofft-Knives-Covers-Round/dp/B00EO723EQ
What kind of paper do you use?
That is the Canson Pastel paper Alisa
@@LinekeLijn Thank you!
Thanks for this. About how much time did it take in real time? Curious.
You are very welcome Alan. And I cannot remember exactly but I think about 45 minutes.... 🤫
@@LinekeLijn, thanks. Also, if you wanted to add a little color into the clouds, which ones might you use?
@@EnglishwithAlan I would go for the Panpastels in that case. It's quick and easy! ;)
Drawing with Lineke Lijn, sorry. I was unclear. I meant what colors would you use.
@@EnglishwithAlan ^^ No problem. You can experiment with all kind of colors. But first I would recomment to start out with black and white and get your perspective going... ;)
Hello, I couldn’t quite catch the name of the blue artist knife, could you please repeat it on the reply.. Great video thank you
Hi, it is called the Panpastel Pastel knife ^^

It is called Panpastel (by Panpastel)
All very good...
But watch again and imagine how more more pleasant it would be without the background music.
Hello.. Very nice drawing. I've been recording and reporting.. If you'd like that.
Thank you çizim and I will check it out 😉👍
How are you? And are you able to recover a little bit after a such a unexpected loss of shampoo. Please take your time as long as possible.
