Wow this brings back memories. I must have ridden that ride at least 200 times by now, we got season passes and went basically every weekend; it's a lot bigger in person than you see here; not massive but bigger. The last straight was really bumpy most of the time though, however I really enjoyed that as part of the ride's character. Genuinely one of my favourite rides to this day, mostly based on sentiment, here's hoping it's got many more years of use
This was my first ever roller coaster, Gulliver's World being literally two minutes down the road from my parents' house. Regrettably, the rest of the park is as rough as riding Antelope on the back row! It almost feels like Gulliver's have given up maintaining the park (not the staff, but the company itself refusing to spend money on the park). It's a shame because I'm sure many people from the NW of England have fond memories there. It's only really suitable for very very small kids who won't notice how shoddy the park is, and just want to go on the swings. A bit more expensive, but I recommend traveling to CBeebies Land at Alton Towers if you want to get your money's worth.
It is a shame about the Gulliver’s parks that they don’t spend money updating the parks but rather buy cheap off the shelf rides !! You say about kids not bothered about how shoddy the park looks but the parents and guardians will and won’t come back again
@@Coaster_Crazy admittedly, I did check out a recent park walk-through after I watched your video, and it honestly doesn't look half as bad as I remember. It's been a while since I've been, so credit where credit is due, it looks like they've at least refreshed the park semi-recently. But I remember that last time I went, the park looked like it was being left to crumble. One thing that stuck out to me during that walk-through, which you've just mentioned, is the off the shelf rides. It does feel a bit half-arsed. I'm not expecting Disney quality kiddy rides, but Jesus, a little bit of effort wouldn't go amiss. That's why I think CBeebies Land at Alton Towers is a better call if you want a better day out with your kids. Alton Towers is a bit more expensive, so might not be that viable for people with a limited budget. But there are frequently heavily discounted tickets available. Every summer they do the 'buy one admission, get one free' promotion on Kellogg's cereal boxes. It's definitely worth waiting for that yo come around and go there instead, in my opinion.
Went on this last year! Put my hands up while going down the drop! I physically flopped down and almost winded myself, because I hit my stomach on the bar!
My first ever roller coaster.. Must have been 8-10 ish maybe. Don't ever remember it being this slow! Loved Gullivers World as a kid. Especially the old fort which you could walk around & also the dinosaur area.
MistyFoox but Kingda Ka is in Six Flags Great Adventure, not what I assume you meant as Cedar Point. The similar but older Top Thrill Dragster is there though.
This coaster looks really nice. It has a cool layout. Imo, it looks like it is to 🐌 slow. Why? Is it that slow? It also looks rough. If it were any faster, it would beat the crap out of ya. OUCH.....
It is quite slow but on the drops it speeds up by about 5 times and because it's so bumpy the bar in front of your stomach will squash your stomach and it's painful I have to say.
When I was 12 I was scared to go on this ride I went on with my mum and put my face on the red wood bit at the front when we went over the bunnyhop bit I smashed my face and got a huge bruise was ok but was very sore on my face 😝
Pls listen to me if anyone is planning of going here avoid the antelope I remember when I went on and I was 7 theres no padding on the seets and it is extremely rough don't go on it I came home with a headache and a very bruised back
Went on this with my dad.. was my first proper coaster. Before that, i just rode small caterpillar and log coasters with my younger brother
this ride is truely what made me a huge fan of coasters and rides

THAT ANTELOPE THINGY SCARED THE HELL OUT OF ME!!! 🤣🤣🤣
This is by far the best ride in gullivers. Was worth the 40 minute wait!
Not sure it’s worth 40mins lol
@@Coaster_Crazy come to think of it about a year and a half later, deffo not now 😂
Took my 5 year old on this and we sat at the back. Brilliant ride and seems much bigger and faster in person.

Nice video!! Reminds me of the old wooden “cyclone” that used to be in Southport. Was a historical crime that it got pulled down.
Went on this last year! Put my hands up while going down the drop! I physically flopped down and almost winded myself, because I hit my stomach on the bar!
Oh dear that sound painful
I went on this and on the first drop i wacked my head on the handle bar! 😂
My cousin was saying she did that too lol.

Honestly. It lowkey is sketchy how slow it goes after the first drop, and they should honestly get rid of it because of how rickety it is
Can't wait to go on the antelope so exited and amazing video
Im coming to gullivers next week what can i expect😃
When are you going to Brean theme park? I would love to see you there! 😀😁

I remember my 1st ever Rollercoaster ride in the early to mid 1990’s. I like Rollercoasters.
Love and still love the Antelope
Damn. That first drop was the height of the Empire State Building when I was a kid. Why did they make it smaller? ;)

Your reaction on the back row 🤣🤣
If arrow dynamics built a wooden coaster, this would be it
