When you seen them compared side by side you can really see how lifeless the voice acting is in infinite. Despite having better graphics, the models for the faces are horrifying. The biggest sin is how awesome mvc3 ghost rider penance stare got into something so boring in infinite

My man’s had a character arc mid-super.
MVC3 looks very much like it came straight from a superhero comic book, while MVCI looks like a live action adaptation of a superhero comic book. Honestly I find both styles appealing in different ways, but generally I think the more colorful and vibrant aesthetic of 3 works better for a game like this.
Also MCVI doesn't have Phoenix Wright so that makes it worse anyway.

Josh Keaton’s Spider-Man is iconic and it fits so well in a fighting game. This other guy is just annoying
Everything is just off in MvC Infinite.
The artstyle, the models, even the voice direction doesn't sound good compared to MvC3.
I wouldn't be surprised if this is the last MvC we got, because if Marvel mandates the MCU style, it's impossible to go back to the comicbook stylishness of the previous games.
The voices were annoying and completely sucked in infinite with all the talking during the super moves.🤣🤣🤣

First of all, this entire video highlights one of the major issues I have with not just MVCI but most Marvel related content nowadays. And that’s it’s catering or trying too much to be the MCU. Like, I get it. The films are super popular and successful but because everything related to Marvel has elements of the movie implemented in everything else, none of them have a sense of identity or a unique style. It just makes them look less of a franchise and more of a product placement to watch more of their content and it becomes blatant and soulless as the years goes by. This is apparent in the most of the animated series and especially this game. Stripping away the comic like style of the previous game for more “realistic” approach, signature themes for generic cinematic scores, the classic looks to the way they are stylized in the movies, etc. It just screams “pandering” not creative liberties.
Second of all, I like to thank you YOYO DODO for taking the time to make this. Seriously, the back to back comparisons to the characters, from their models to their specials has to be immensely time consuming. All that while still showing what they have and don’t have in either game. Greatly appreciated for uploading an awesome video.

you're right, they wanted to copy the MCU in its visual style and soundtrack which can work with Marvel characters but looks bad on Capcom.

to everyone saying how the voices feel significantly off in mvci (youre 100% correct by the way), just remember that many of the va's from umvc3 reprise their roles in mvci so most of the fault isnt on them.............
The problem is that some of them sound off and talk too much. Look at Iron Man, he sounds so bored in MvCi
I think the only one that sounds better in MvCi is Nova
The lack of energy being expressed by the voice actors was probably how the devs or whoever in charge intended

but the graphics are still not as good as Capcom when using the *RE engine* to its maximum. (perhaps during the development of the RE engine it was still used for Resident Evil 7, not all projects were used)

They shouldn’t have moved away from the comic style. Mvci was just disappointing with just a few better styles for some effects and characters but majority is bad.

There was just so much they did differently in Infinite that felt forced and just off. In fact, I still can’t get over them getting rid of Captain America’s Final Justice move (at least the animation) when that was his thing in all of his fighting game appearances and his first one ever.

I’ve had life to death battles with my friend . He’s insistent that graphics are the only thing that matters. Which is painful because I am a fan of so many games from the past that focused on story line , character development and epic voice work .

I was right to have rejected Infinite when it was shown off before the launch. Even after they fixed it, it was still too late. The love that was put into the series was already dead. All I saw was a few new characters and a lot of missing characters. It looks pretty for HD graphics and that's all. The characters have an extra hyper combo and some look cool but UMvC3 is better overall. All X-Men, Amaterasu, Viewiful Joe, Phoenix Wright, Shuma Gorath, Hsien ko, Felicia, Tron, Jill, She Hulk, Crimson Viper, Jill, Deadpool, Task Master, -Venom- and probably more are missing. Still no Mega man or other characters from the first 2 games.
They gave Morrigan at least 2 different accents in MVCI. What was wrong with her original voice?
Hulk's subtitles for his victory in Infinite is weird. Don't put them there until he's about to talk. I thought they forgot his quote.
They toned down everyone's body types too. What happened there? Was everyone jealous of their attractiveness?
The combo potential is better in UMvC3. It seems like all of them are combo enders is MvCI.
I'm going to go check the roster and gameplay for Infinite to make sure I'm not getting anyting wrong.

The moment I knew there was a new MvC and I saw it I immediately knew what they were going for. Total MCU, X-Men boyocott. Now I know it's not uncommon of the series to pick characters and themes of what is currently more popular, but MvCI... It's a total MCU sellout

Almost every single design/presentation decision is just absurd. Damn shame, this game has an incredible fighting engine, I think AAA presentation would have made it a main stay.

Os modelos são novos, mas mesmo assim são péssimos.
Pra mim o unico personagem que melhorou foi o Strange, de resto prefiro o umvc3 sem duidas

One of the things I hate about Infinite is how they made the characters too realistic. Firebrand doesn't look like Firebrand he looks like some weird Goblin with wings and veins. I also hate how inconsistent they are with making things look like they are based off the MCU. Like Captain America, Iron Man, Rocket Racoon, and Captain marvel look like they are more based off the MCU while Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Thor, Hawkeye(i liked his look im UMVC3), Thanos , Gamora, and Ultron get their comic looks which isn't bad but I hate how it's inconsistent.

To be fair alot of the marvel character mite look worse because they're based on newer movie looks. Because Nova for example actually looks great in infinite, and of course both of his designs are comic based.

what's funny and ironic is that MVCI had better graphics and details but it still loses against UMVC3 in terms of visual aesthetics.

Mvci game play is freaking fun but for the casual crowd it's not just about the game play.
Marvel infinite was fun whenever i came home i always play this game and it felt great doing combos

I think it’s because the VA is trying to replicate the way Irin Man sounds in MVCI. Unfortunately, much like many things in the game itself, it didn’t work.

Tbh, MVCI COULD be so much BETTER...
1. This is the risk if the game is tied to the story. (Number of stages)
2. This is the risk if the game really wanted to be cinematic. (3D Graphics and Characters models. I mean some of them are NOT that bad.)
3. Limitations on the characters from Marvel or Capcom (Honestly kinda sucks).
4. I don't care about the new Voice actors. But I do hope a better Voice Directors.
5. More variation style of soundtrack. Especially all fighters theme.
6. Infinity Stones is not a bad concept. But imagine 3 vs 3 PLUS Infinity Stones, THAT is crazy. Or maybe you can chooses 1v1, 2v2 or 3v3.
7. Choose Easy or Manual mode.
I hope they will have another chance to create another Marvel VS Capcom game and let them go ALL OUT to Satisfy us the Players.

Honestly, Infinite doesn't look as bad as I remembered, especially in the model viewer. Just looking from the model viewer, I could actually understand if someone preferred the some of the models in MvCI (minus the faces). Why does it all just seems to start falling apart in gameplay?
I know they were going for a more realistic style on Infinite, but compared to Ultimate 3 they all look awful. The cell shading and vibrant colors of Ultimate 3 fit the aesthetic of Marvel way better than the realism approach in infinite. Honestly no clue how that even got past the concept phase, because it’s just a bad idea.

MvCI took things too seriously when it came to graphics, characters are made to look more realistic and not as cartoony, the voices sound like their movie counter parts, the music is made to sound like a movie soundtrack, heck even the plot is made to be serious with how "Our two worlds are forever merged, millions of people are dead and there's nothing we can do to fix this" It just doesn't... feel fun. Marvel 3 was over the top and goofy, it didn't care about making sense it embraced the crazy concept of Marvel and Capcom characters fighting and living on the same world.
Infinite is just a reskin of marvel vs capcom 3 only the graphics changed

The predecessor was clearly better. Ghost Rider's Penance Stare is a joke in MVSCI, Captain America's face looks horrible and they gave all characters Level 3 Hyper Combos. Smh

how unique a character is does not come from whether they have a level 3 or not. It should come from how that level 3 is and how it looks and how good it is (and you can still add uniqueness to them, like ryu's level 3 in infinite).
Like I don't like that someone like hulk or thor didn't get a level 3 but Arthur got one.
also there isn't really anything unique about a level 3 when 40 characters in your game have level 3's.
Granted not all added level 3's in infinite are amazing, but at least they got one.

Even though Hulk and Thor doesn't have level 3 you can utilize them well and their Hyper Combos gives good damage which leads to good combos wayback in UMVSC 3. The only improvement for level 3 is Ryu the others doesn't stand a chance compared to Ghost Rider's level 3 in UMVSC 3 to MVSCI
@@justinvincent1691 I don't agree with that statement. it gives the characters that didn't got a level 3 a moment to shine since most of those level 3 are way more impressive than any of their level 1's that they had from the previous games (thor, spider-man, frank west, hulk, nova), plus most of those level ones are already in the game so it does not really matter.
I was not talking how effective thor and hulk's level 1's are, I was talking about the fact that these two didn't get a level 3 at all.
there are some other level' 3's that are improved from the UMVC3 version.

Part of what made Marvel vs Capcom very unique was that the fights in the game were VERY chaotic and many loved it that way. So to see them strip all of the chaotic parts of the gameplay so that MCU fans could enjoy it was the worst part of MvCI
I stopped playing this game when they changed the button layout an simplified it for people who dont even play the game!
