If you think about it, since CM Punk was in two of them, it's technically 5 men over 6 years. I personally can't stand Cena losing, but I do understand that motivation if that will have been the case after this year
Dude, I could actually see Heath becoming sort of a badass in the tag division (he already has held the title a couple times). Imagine a year ahead from now: Drew is holding WWE or Universal title, Jinder the US or Intercontinental title, and Heath the Raw or SmackDown Tag Team titles with someone (honestly I don't care who). They're all on the same brand, and there's a segment a week or so after Heath's partner betrayed him to join the opposition and current tag champs: the rising musical heel tag team of Elias and Aiden English, who are gearing up for a three-on-one gang-up attack on Heath. Guess what happens next. Fucking *guess*. A goddamn 3MB reunion, baby! Now THAT is how you make a Summerslam main event.
So I watched an Inside The Ropes interview with Wade Barret 30 minutes before seeing this video that he was told that he was told by Arn Anderson that he would lose to Cena towards the end, and when he went to protest to Vince, the chairman said he wanted to have a “happy ending” to the PPV. The news broke to Barret literally the day of the event.
Alicia fox vs melina got me into wrestling, a match I hold dearly to my heart, I thank everyone who was involved for introducing me to the art of wrestling and tbh that match will never be topped, the match is timeless and it is what people think of when the word wrestling comes up, we owe so much to that match, without it we wouldn't have such classics as... I can't think of any, do you know why? It's because Alicia fox vs melina overshadows every wrestling match that came before and afterwards and I don't think that status will ever change.
To WhatCulture Wrestling, I know you're in the middle of doing the SummerSlam's, but are you guys gonna do these 10 Fascinating Facts about WCW/NWA Events? I would love to see a series about Starrcade, SuperBrawl and the NWA/WCW/WWE The Great American Bash's.
Just to let you know. Wade Barret in a recent interview said the finish was changed by Mcmahon. To leave the audience in a happy mood with a babyface win
so I'm guessing you guys ain't gonna finish this "Fascinating SummerSlam Facts" in time...but I'll still watch them all, and you can make a "SummerSlam 2017 facts" video while you're at it
If Cena loses against Corbin, which he most likely will, he will have lost 7 straight SummerSlam matches for every Nexus member he buried. What happens the year after, who knows.
anyone notice that summerslam is big ppv for bret. think about it his first single title, first mainevent ,last mainevent and last world title win all was on summerslam .
Unfortunately, most of the comments in response to mine haven't done anything but say they could've been great, without spelling it out. Remember that after SummerSlam they still got a huge push, feuded with Cena (even adding him to the group) and Barrett got a shot at the WWE Championship at Night of Champions, Bragging Rights and Survivor Series. They still got the push, they just couldn't do anything with it; a win at SummerSlam just would have made the failure more spectacular. Michael Tarver just didn't seem to fit in, always wearing the face mask, he should've been given a manager and been a monster heel. Darren Young seemed out of place, and only found himself as a member of The Prime-Time Players and when he came out as the first active roster member to be openly gay. Skip Sheffield was injured soon after SummerSlam, then came back as Ryback and challenged for the WWE Championship at Hell in a Cell 2012, Survivor Series 2012, Extreme Rules 2013 and Payback 2013. So he needed to be Ryback to succeed. Justin Gabriel was basically just there to do the 450 Splash and formed a good team with Slater, but he wasn't much on the mike and became a mid-carder or tag wrestler till leaving in 2015. Heath Slater (who is the only one that's still performing in WWE) had the most charisma, and was able to find a place to entertain in the mid-card for a long time (usually in a team), but didn't really do much till his 2016 storyline that put him over for a little while. David Otunga was there for his look and his relationship with Jennifer Hudson. He wasn't much in the ring or on the mike, which is surprising now that he's a commentator. He's still in WWE, but was never much of a performer, which makes the fact that he was the first true member of The Nexus to win a Championship (being WWE Tag Champion with John Cena for 24 hours). Wade Barrett was the only one who truly had a run, including great rivalries with Cena, Randy Orton and various others, while becoming a 5x Intercontinental Champion and the last King of the Ring (unless they bring it back). I always though he should've become a World Champion at some point (but not in 2010). As my point was simple, these 7 men were not ready for the huge push they would've had to have had they been the winners at SummerSlam.
I actually went to summerslam that year and I remember being shocked Daniel Bryan was the seven member. It was actually a great moment. I actually didn't know it was spoiled a half hour earlier until I saw this video.
I think it's funny that after killing the nexus cena put over 5 guys who are all beloved by the hardcore internet wrestling community (I know Brock sorta isn't but a lot of people loved how he put Brock over)
That line about losing 7 Summerslams for each of the 7 members of the NEXUS was fucking deep. And his final Summerslam 'Nexus' loss is against an NXT alumni - Baron Corbin. God I hope John loses
TheArsenalMan125 .....Probably some blue balls ploy to get people to sign up for WCExtra. Too bad 6 videos about past Summerslams won't get anyone to pay for UA-cam videos.
does anyone know the name of the song they use for the WCPW World Cup ads at the end of the video? i really like it and I can't find the full song anywhere.
You didn't mention the fact that Cena is the one choosing to lose every match at summerslam since the nexus screw job finish because he realises the mistake he made and is giving back by putting AJ over ect
He lost 6 straight years, redeeming himself for the 6 Nexus members who actually had careers. Then he casually destroyed Corbin in what is likely the "Michael Tarver" year.
The Nexus was supposed to win at Summerslam. Wade Barret was supposed to go over, until John Cena changed the ending at the last minute, much to the objection of guys like Edge or Chris Jericho. John Cena, so instead of adding massive legitimately to the group, making them a force to be reckoned with for months to come, all swept under the rug by John Cena who didn't even sell the fact that Wade Barret smashed John's head against the concrete. All the beat downs, all the assaults on the authority, the assaults on the legends, the assault on Vince McMahon, all of it undone and rendered completely MEANINGLESS. In ONE night. John Cena says he didn't like the ending, because he regrets it. What a fucking shame smh....
Are you guys going to do the last 7 summer slams? Btw why did you go three days with doing these videos they are better than all the other crap you make ecspesaly when it involves Simon.
Sorry as an engineering student this bothers me. 35 min and 15 sec isn't 35.15 minutes, but 35.25 minutes (60 sec in a min). So 32 min and 22 sec would be about 32.367 min.
Joey Mercury = broken pectoral muscle by Big show (2 on 1 situation) Joey Mercury = Real concussion by suplex from Brock Lesnar (2 on 1 situation) Lesson : Joey Mercury is bad at protecting himself.
What made Melina vs Alicia Fooooooooooooxxxxxxxx so infamous? I wasn't watching WWE in 2010 but having just watched it, it just seems like an average match. Nothing terrible but nothing spectacular.
"He truly is the excellence of execution" despite the fact you literally just saying a second ago that he practically did piss all in the 7 on 7 match.
I get that the comma and period are switched between US and Brit numerical values. But to say that 35.15 is equivalent to 35 minutes and 15 seconds is preposterous. 15 seconds is a quarter of a minute, so it should be 35.25 OR 35:15. Then to say 32.22 is the same as 32:22... You're slipping, WhatCulture. Get your shit together, mate!
I think WWE missed an opportunity a huge opportunity. Now the NXT roster is full of strong name and it would been better to see a New Nexus Faction but more intimidating
There is something I never understood about that? Both Kelly Kelly and Tiffany were at that playboy party? They just said it now. Why wasn't she punished also?
Cena has yet to cleanse the souls of all 7 nexus members by losing at 7 straight summerslams
Ethan Niggl
I don't think he is going to ,
R.I.P Baron Corbin
Sarcastic Mr. Fox i think Corbin is going to win cuz he needs to and it wouldn't benefit Cena if he won cuz hes going to raw anyway
If you think about it, since CM Punk was in two of them, it's technically 5 men over 6 years. I personally can't stand Cena losing, but I do understand that motivation if that will have been the case after this year
Losing 7 Summerslams in a row doesn't make up for ruining 7 careers.
Luke K TBF only a few would have made it anyway to the main event
Don't let this distract you from the fact that Heath Slater has more Summerslam main events than AJ Styles
And Michael fuckin' Tarver
Golden Records AND DAVID FUCKING OTUNGA!!!
But dont ya know Heath Slater is going to be a WWE Champion one day.
maybe Universal Champion;)
Jinder Mahal = WWE Champion, Drew McIntyre = NXT Champion, Heath Slater = soon!!
3MB > Nexus xD
Dude, I could actually see Heath becoming sort of a badass in the tag division (he already has held the title a couple times). Imagine a year ahead from now: Drew is holding WWE or Universal title, Jinder the US or Intercontinental title, and Heath the Raw or SmackDown Tag Team titles with someone (honestly I don't care who). Guess what happens next. Fucking *guess*.
A goddamn 3MB reunion, baby! Now THAT is how you make a Summerslam main event.
Fun fact summerslam 2010 was so overhyped they made a wwe summerslam slingshot game before summerslam. It was like angry birds
"When you anger the gods of summerSlam, you must be punished " jajajajaja cracked me up
So I watched an Inside The Ropes interview with Wade Barret 30 minutes before seeing this video that he was told that he was told by Arn Anderson that he would lose to Cena towards the end, and when he went to protest to Vince, the chairman said he wanted to have a “happy ending” to the PPV. The news broke to Barret literally the day of the event.
The Nexus got HUGE crowd reactions. To kill them stone dead was a crime & a big big loss for the WWE!
You'll never be wrong
RIP Nexus 😭
Cena has lost *6* Summerslams in a row
There are *7* members of the Nexus
Baron Corbin beats Cena for the last redemption to the Nexus
Haha nope
Luke guess cena doesn't care about tarver
Ni
no one does
To WhatCulture Wrestling, I know you're in the middle of doing the SummerSlam's, but are you guys gonna do these 10 Fascinating Facts about WCW/NWA Events? I would love to see a series about Starrcade, SuperBrawl and the NWA/WCW/WWE The Great American Bash's.
I thought it was called Summerfest?
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
If YOU lose . . . . . . . . . we will ban you . . . . . . . from the summerfest
i laugh my ass off when cameron said foxx vs melina was her all time favorite match on tough enough
OMG THE TOUGH ENOUGH THING WITH CAMERON!!!!!! IM SO GLAD I GOT THAT REFERENCE.
Just to let you know. Wade Barret in a recent interview said the finish was changed by Mcmahon. To leave the audience in a happy mood with a babyface win
Love how you avoided saying Tiffanys partner was Drew McIntyre
It's 5 minutes later and I'm still giggling at the image at 4:20 (shout out to Rob Van Dam).
Last time i was this early my dad wasn't at the store
I just love when Cena uses his shovel hopefully at this year's summerslam, he brings IT!!!
He'll be washing his soul of the 7 nexus members by losing 7 SummerSlams in a row
Wyn Whydoweneedalastname
Lol no he is a heavy favourite to win this and believe me he will.
Sarcastic Mr. Fox Probs by DQ, so it won't really count. Not even the big dub is dumb enough to waste MITB, even if he has backstage heat.
Sarcastic Mr. Fox Cena exposed at Summerslam
you just confirmed yourself to be a complete troll
nothing you say will be taken serous ever again
I like how The Nerd is now the visualization of the IWC
He finally won a Summerslam match.
Ah yes. The same Summer Slam that also made me take a break because of Big Show going over Punk.
so I'm guessing you guys ain't gonna finish this "Fascinating SummerSlam Facts" in time...but I'll still watch them all, and you can make a "SummerSlam 2017 facts" video while you're at it
Back then I rooted for Team WWE, but now looking back, I can understand fans' anger for not having Nexus win

John cena made this the greatest SUMMERSLAM ever 2010
I think it's funny that after killing the nexus cena put over 5 guys who are all beloved by the hardcore internet wrestling community (I know Brock sorta isn't but a lot of people loved how he put Brock over)
I also realize that Brock and AJ are the only clean victories but you get the idea
That line about losing 7 Summerslams for each of the 7 members of the NEXUS was fucking deep.
And his final Summerslam 'Nexus' loss is against an NXT alumni - Baron Corbin. God I hope John loses
😐.... So much for that happening FFS.
Who's excited for The Summerfest tomorrow?
Taryn terrell just returned to tna btw.
It's the year of "Let' go Cena" "CENA SUCKS!"
I think if WWE wanted the Nexus to lose, they should've had Daniel Bryan be the sole survivor
2:46, AVGN Cameo
Hell yeah. More facts.
As of August 20th at 12:31am, two-thirds of 3MB
are reigning champions on their respective brands
yeah, but Jinder Mahal was never part of the Nexus, or even the new Nexus
lol they arent going to make it in time for these videos
TheArsenalMan125 who the fuck cares
Todd zombie87 Adam can grind. He smart very smart
TheArsenalMan125 I was thinking the same thing. Guess they go continue afterwards
they can just about do it if they do one video an hour, starting any minute now lol
TheArsenalMan125 .....Probably some blue balls ploy to get people to sign up for WCExtra. Too bad 6 videos about past Summerslams won't get anyone to pay for UA-cam videos.
Last time I was this early I thought Damian Sandow had the most sad cash-in of all time...
Don't let this distract you from the fact that maggal coal said LIT on live TV.
JarJarBinks4 President when?
He said titus oneil looked lit on raw
King Ross: I PUSH MY FINGERS INTO MY EYES
ayee slipknot boii
+The NrCaden101 King Ross says it all the time on WTF Moments
WhatCulture Wrestling now has more subs than WhatCulture's main channel!
I'll never forgive John Cena for ruining Nexus that night, especially when you consider the original (and logical) plan was for Nexus to go over.
does anyone know the name of the song they use for the WCPW World Cup ads at the end of the video? i really like it and I can't find the full song anywhere.
The one and only ppv I've ever been to live
Wait what where tf is Kane vs rey it had Kane turning on the returning taker that was brilliant at least for me to watch
It would be pretty funny if they put the next 6 videos out like an hour before summer slam 2017
Wasn't Tiffany in a relationship with Drew McIntyre back then and his push got stopped because of personal drama between the two?
I'm guessing the other videos are coming after this years Summerslam ?
the nexus....i havent heard that name in 7 years - John "Lance" Cena
Summerslam is tomorrow and youve still got 6 summerslams to do 10 facts about
You didn't mention the fact that Cena is the one choosing to lose every match at summerslam since the nexus screw job finish because he realises the mistake he made and is giving back by putting AJ over ect
This was my first ppv and it was a worth it
i thought Taryn was also arrested for an altercation with Drew McIntyre?
48 hours later and this video's already obsolete. Good job, Plumpy.
He lost 6 straight years, redeeming himself for the 6 Nexus members who actually had careers. Then he casually destroyed Corbin in what is likely the "Michael Tarver" year.
how will you do the rest of the summerslam facts? D:
The divas title match was like 5 minutes but it was some good work. Do that for half an hour and it would be six stars.
So are you lot gonna do 6 of these tomorrow, or keep going at it daily even though you clearly miscounted your days?
Why is the AVGN is re-appearing in the list?
The ads for the Pro Wrestling World Cup just make me sad
Love the trivia in this video
Who's watching in 1956??
Guys... I'm starting to think you aren't going to get all the way to 2016 in time for tomorrow.
Well ... Summerslam kick off starts and we are still only at 2010 ... looks like you didn't get them done in time this time :(.
5:47 Baron looks like Gollum before his transformation lol
One day, 6 summerslams left
im sad to know is summerslam today and you still need to do 10 facts for summerslam 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016 but oh well
Are you guys going to do the last 7 summer slams? Btw why did you go three days with doing these videos they are better than all the other crap you make ecspesaly when it involves Simon.

9:30 As far as I know Vuvuzela is from my country South Africa ............Yes we are represented Dragon Ball Super
Oh boy this is going to be fun
So many comments about 'Cena always burying talent', yeah that's why he's put over numerous stars over the past number of years.
Joey Mercury = broken pectoral muscle by Big show (2 on 1 situation)
Joey Mercury = Real concussion by suplex from Brock Lesnar (2 on 1 situation)
Lesson : Joey Mercury is bad at protecting himself.
The Avgn stills are amazingly well placed haha
What made Melina vs Alicia Fooooooooooooxxxxxxxx so infamous? I wasn't watching WWE in 2010 but having just watched it, it just seems like an average match. Nothing terrible but nothing spectacular.
SgtSoundrevolver i remember something about cameron being on tough enough in 2011 and her saying that was her favorite match lol something like that
"He truly is the excellence of execution" despite the fact you literally just saying a second ago that he practically did piss all in the 7 on 7 match.
2:45 More AVGN! Like!
Looks like you're not going to finish this before summerfest
Fact: it was the last SummerSlam that John Cena won and has lost every match since then
Oh, of course, we are in the few years where TNA was relevant enough for us to see it mentioned a few times in the videos about those years....
They gonna have to grind out 6 of these in 24 hrs to make it rip
SummerSlam 2010 AKA The PPV that made Ryback so hungry.
I think WWE missed an opportunity a huge opportunity.
Now the NXT roster is full of strong name and it would been better to see a New Nexus Faction but more intimidating
Excellence of execution...no doubt
Y'all need 6 more in 24 hours 😂
The go home RAW for this had an earthquake to end it.
Summmerfest is tomorrow and they have 6 years left to do...
5:23 So I think it's pretty obvious that John Cena's losing to Baron Corbin tomorrow.
Boy how that was wrong.
6:27-6:36=Adam using every chance he gets to put over Bret Hart lmaoo
Didnt wwe make one of these today?
WhatCulture falls six Summerslam's short of fulfilling their list.
Last time I was this early, the nae nae was still epic..
7:48 Angry Video Game Nerd pic 😄
How WWE should book Sheild Reunion.
For the record Tiffany's partner was actually her husband and that husband was Drew McIntyre...
I can't tell if he's being sarcastic about the 6 STAR CLASSIC or not anymore
There is something I never understood about that? Both Kelly Kelly and Tiffany were at that playboy party? They just said it now. Why wasn't she punished also?
6 more to go Plumpy....
