- *Please note a verbal error in this video regarding serif v. sans serif fonts. Times New Roman is a SERIF font. Arial or calibri are examples of sans serif fonts.
This is a brief screencast of creating an APA format Annotated Bibliography. It includes how to locate information in an article to create an APA citation and the layout of an APA formatted annotated bibliography.

Why in the fuck did bots decide to spam this shit man 😂😭
Thank you walking through each step one by one, as a first timer completing an annotated bibliography this was very helpful. Even the explanation of text, size, and what doi is in relation to the AB was great.
I was working with annotated bibliography for the first time in college, and now I understand it properly. Thank you so much!
So happy I found this video. Just started learning APA and it seemed very complicated. You simplified it enough for the not so computer savvy people like myself. Thank you!
Raechel, As a non-traditional student this video was extremely helpful. Your method of teaching made it easy for me to understand and become less frightened to write my annotated bibliography! I appreciate you!
Great video. You explain everything so easy. Now I'm not scared to write annotated biblographies. Thank you!!!
This was a very well-done, simple way of explaining how to write an annotated bibliography paper. Thank you!
Raechel, this was extremely helpful and very easy to understand. Thank you for taking the time to post!
Thank you for the "vid", very concise and clear. As a new student taking 400 level classes, my professor advised us we need to write an 8-12 page "annotated" paper. It has been more than a few years since I've written a paper like this, and the JC level classes never require it. the CSUF class does in Retirement & Financial Planning.
This was extremely helpful! My professor's assistant did a garbage job explaining and instead rambled on and on about the library database. Thank you so much for this.
Thanks so very much Raechel, I'm new with writing in APA formatting, and this video has been such a big help, Thanks a bunch, and God Bless!
Thank you soooo much. Just started on my first annotated bib assignment and was going crazy. Very informative.
That is so much more helpful than anything else I have seen!

And thank you!! I was stressed about it, now it's like old hat! love it!

i am glad i found this video. i am about to pull my eyes out
@@olymphiaking3255 ...Or you could just use the Google Scholar button for citation APA format. Done.
Thank you very much for this example!!!!!! You rock from here to Saturn, back-and-forth!!!!!!!
Very helpful. Just a technical note: Times New Roman is a "Serif" font, not a "Sans Serif."
The font you are reading here is Sans Serif -- meaning without serifs -- or in other words more of a block letter style. Serifs are the extra little "tails" or "wings" on the typeface. A side-by-side comparison makes the difference clear.
There are a variety of fonts in both styles.
(Hope that helps anyone who might not have known.)
wow, this video is really amazing, I did not have any idea about annotated bibliography before watching this video you saved my life @Raechel Soicher. With love from Afghanistan.
Fantastic help!! Thank you!!

Thank you for your explanation.
Really helpful, many thanks.
Huge help! Thank you. -tlm
Thank you!you made it easy for me.
You are a blessing.
Thanks this helped in my assignments.
Raechel Soicher Thank you very much for doing this. when doing an annotated citation page, do you have to put "Annotated Citation", or "References"?
@Austin often times the automatic citation generators do not put things in the correct format.
super helpful, thank you!
Wow that helps me a lot. I was given an assignment on annotated bibliography and God knows what it is for me. lol. I'm like, what? haha! Thank you for this video I now have an idea on what to do with my assignment. :-)
Very helpful. Thank you!
Excellent! Thank you.
great video, lovely voice. thank you!!
Savina-You should never rearrange the order of the authors' names. The order typically indicates how much of the work each author did on the paper and so carries meaning.
Thanks, that was easy to understand
Thank you it helped me get an "A" on the assignment!
+Elaine Soto-Martis What aare those "1-4 & 1-3" indicates? congrats on the assignments by the way !
Thank you for this video.
Very nicely explained
Thank you Raechel!
Thank you SO MUCH!!
SweetpeaMango: yes, the volume number is italicizes. The issue number is not. The issue number, if you have one, appears in parentheses after the volume number. See owl.english.purdue.edu for more info.
Thank you for this step by step. I wanted to make a comment on the paragraph indentation. I was also looking on the Perdue writing lab website and it looks like in addition to the hanging indentation of the cite the annotation is indented further. Is there a difference between APA 6 and 7 that makes this difference?
Very helpful for me. Thank you
Thank you ,, that really helps a lot
Thank You very much Raechel!
Girl, thanks for having my back.
Joshua - There's a great web resource that will help you. Look in the video description for the web address.
Hi Jerry. Technically there should not be extra space. I have modified this video to describe an assignment I use in my class, that is why it is different.
do we need a title page for an apa annotated bibliography?
Thanks for this.. You might helped with my university career lol!
thanks a lot.it really helped
Thank you, Raechel for taking the time in explaining this. You are a life saver. How many words usually are the annotations?
Good job !
Thank you so much! If I would've only known.
Thanks the information was helpful, also thanks for not going to fast.
This is very helpful. Nice :)
It would be nice to have audio or voice over to provide context to what is being done. For example, does a blank line go between each reference and annotation or no? Because I see both in the video and no audio makes it hard to completely discern why. Unless I'm an idiot and I missed something, which is very possible.
Thank you very much!
Thanks Raechel!!!
Thank you!
This was a good video BUT, most important, the author's name in the reference is the only thing remaining on the left. Below the reference which is always done hanging because it is an apa reference, always indent the text below the reference lining up with the second line of the reference. This is formatted incorrectly.
Thankyou
That’s what I thought. Thanks!
I agree!! This is SUPER important. Raechel, please update the description to add this very important info.
thanks for whispering all this info at me.
hahah!
Thank you..... truly
So like do we use articles for our bibliographys or other things too like books. Ples help, i need to do a julius caesar bibliography and. Im not sure if im supposed to use an article about him or smth. Aaaahhhhh so confusedddd
Thanks Raechel!
thank you thank you thank you!
what kind of deference page if you put the citation info before the text not at the end of your research paper .
How do u do the cover page
The text are annotations - they include the hypothesis, a brief synopsis of the methods of the resource, and a comparison of each source to the others being used for the assignment. However, these are particular requirements for my classes. Your professor may have different requirements.
I only saw you detail explanation of setting up the citation for the journal reference. you say there was a brief synopsis of the methods of source but the video is only 9 minutes and I don't see you discussing setting up the citation in detail for websites such as www.MDA.org
Thank You!
The title of the article is italicized and the title of the journal is regular as of 2020.
Do you have to arrange the authors' surnames alphabetically too?
thanks for the video
Hi! I'm writing a science textbook. I've solved a lot of problems without reliance upon any texts in particular ( it's a physics book ). Would it be necessary for me to create a bibliography? If the answer is " yes ", how would this be done ( I have few if any quotations in my text. )
do I need a cover page with my name and date for APA format annotated bibliography? help please ASAP.
Hey are you sure the volume number has to be italicized?? Im getting mixed answers :(
Is the text that comes after the citation original that you write as the author or is it copied from the document?
THANK.... YOU!!!!
Hi. Which APA edition are you sampling here?
Thank you.
and do we need a running head?
