How to create a reference page in an APA-formatted paper **For better viewing quality, please select 720p HD from the quality setting (next to the closed captioning button).
thank you Raechel, I am writing a paper in APA style for the first time and you have made my life so much easier lol! great tutorials and will recommend to others. From Bronx, NY
If you highlight the references and go to the paragraph tab, you can select hanging indention. The way you showed (pressing enter then tab) can get you marked off if your professor is a stickler for the correct format.
Thank you, I have always been confused about capitalization on the journal titles. Now, in the article title, do we capitalize proper names that appear, or still use lower case?
This is a very helpful video, but I feel there should be more information on what to do if you cannot find certain information. What if your research has no findable doi? Or even a year for the reference?
Thanks for posting this video. Just got confused about numbering the references list; you're saying that we don't need to put numbers in the list. So, how can I connect between what I write "my paragraphs" and the reference list? I've used to put numbers after sentences, and then I match these numbers with my references list. Please, clarify that to me.
Some databases will format the reference citations for you to APA, MLA, and or Chicago. I would double-check to make sure they are correct though... But I haven't found one yet that was incorrect.
If the format or the title of the article comes with some certain words like English, do we still write that as english? For instance, World englishes by BB Kachru (2006).
Grad school student here and I could never really get the apa references down pack but now I think I got it. Lol. Thanks. Oh how do I do in text citations? I know this video is old
In the 2nd reference you wrote the DOI number in third line, and it is not looking good (coz the 2nd line is incomplete). So, what if I want half of the DOI number in 2nd line and the other half in 3rd line?
Hi there , nice video. easy to follow up. I would like to ask you for an apa format review of a journal. Is it different from your videos? Or is it the same? Thanks
When you started towards the "Export Citations" button I started screaming, "Nooooooooo..." because you won't show us how to MAKE a reference APA style from scratch.
thank you Raechel, I am writing a paper in APA style for the first time and you have made my life so much easier lol! great tutorials and will recommend to others. From Bronx, NY

I looked on the purdue owl and it says that a url is required after citing an electronic source... maybe it was recently updated?

This video is almost 9 years old as of the posting of this comment and reply. Don't hope for a reply from the creator, haha.

Raechel has got so sweet voice... i wanna meet her
when you mean never number your references what if there are footnotes?
Selina,
In general, APA does not use footnotes. See this page for more details: owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/560/04/
ok
Thank you. I am doing a critique and was unsure if footnotes were needed since we had footnotes in our example critique article...
