I've enjoyed watching your build videos but it's really cool to see you guys getting out and back in one piece. Damn, I love Moab. My build is still a year from being complete. Thanks for the inspiration from Saudi Arabia. I'm an American military contractor over here, building a 1983 Nissan Patrol with Chevy drive train on 1 ton axles. LT1 from a 95 Impala SS, TH400, twin stick NP205 with 4.56 geared D60/14 bolt axles on links. Lots of rocky desert over here to be explored.
It’s nice to be able to enjoy them now, especially getting out and back with no issues. That sounds like fun! We have a soft spot for built Nissan Patrols. They’ve earned quite a reputation over the years. Thank you for your support!
I’m confused how you acquire enough knowledge to build these things from scratch. I mean I know my 2 favorite dream rigs & what they would consist of but man they are mostly very solid rigs from the factory and then I know how I would outfit them from off the shelf components. These rigs look fabricated to such an extent it boggles the mind at times. I’m always so impressed when I see these beasts. No one asked, but I’ll tell you what one of my dream rigs would be, 94-99 Dodge Ram 2500 I think I would stay gas for weight savings but wouldn’t cry if I found a 12 valve Cummins. But I think I’d go for the V-10 and man I’d love to get one with Manila transmission, at most if lift it 4 inches and heavily modify the fenders to accommodate 40 in tires. That alone would get u a rig with decent gearing & power & Dana 70 rear & Dana 60 front. Lock the front and rear & and get a 4:1 transfer case & a winch, my word your off to the races. Oh, I’d want mine to be single cab or else I’d just find a power wagon. I have personally seen those trucks flex like mad with those coil springs and I have owned them man, they have never broken under any of the abuse I have dished out. Eventually I’d wanna move the front axle forward some for approach & cut the rear bed & frame short for departure. As a rig platform I swear I don’t think most people know how amazing those trucks are for abuse off road. Great template to start with. There are others to be sure, but in my opinion that’s a great way to start.
While we’d love to say every bit of each rig was our own creation, many of the ideas came from other builds, we just added our own twist here and there. Forums, videos, magazines, and friends...all of those outlets provided plenty of information to get an idea what we wanted to do. If you have Instagram, check out Woods Offroad. Johnny has a ram that sounds pretty similar to what you’re describing. It is a very well built rig and performs great offroad.
That big 10 seater thing looks scary top heavy. I’d rather try the trail in my bone stock Yukon than go in that thing and the top seats would give me a heart attack. Sketch as f*|!{>!
That thing is probably the most capable rig out there! He lives in Moab and his business is giving tours and doing all the hard obstacles that the Jeep's bypass

It’s nice seeing the old school trucks out there sick of hearing about how the new trucks are so great the older trucks did just as good

I've been waiting for this I work 3rd so I should really go to bed buuttt I think I'll wait lol
Cant believe you didnt trailer the ranger. I'd be paranoid of it breaking!
Some might say it was...Reckless
@@RecklessWrenchGarage Does make more sense to trailer the Chevy.....
Fo dayz damn, 🍙
no seatbelt 8:10? super safe
We get a kick out of what people pick out sometime. 😆 Nice catch. We don’t have any control over how people decide to live their lives.
i would love to set my burban up.
The only parts I don’t really need are the broken ones. 😆
@@RecklessWrenchGarage 🤣 it was worth a shot, got to love the burbans, all of them, even the part pickup one.
Looks like a lot of waiting in traffic
Considering this was a record number of rigs on this trail for Fullsize Invasion, it was, but that’s just part of the fun.
What Jack was Chris using there? Or... was that Kris?
That’s the Pro Eagle jack.
ua-cam.com/video/Kt4UjP-BmR0/v-deo.html
Wd40 an lighter will pop that tire on or anything flammable spray the Rim light on fire bam it’s back on
We are aware, but it wasn’t necessary. Under the circumstances, we didn’t want to risk playing with fire. 😆
Sauce on the tan K5.. ?
Good question; I would say Tabasco or Chalula. 🤷🏻♂️
@@RecklessWrenchGarage Sorry... What I meant was details, info, etc.
We didn’t get any details on it. Fullsize Invasion May have some details.
Dang it! I missed the live chat....
Didn’t miss much. 😆
Ok better!

Who’s in the brown chopped suburban
That belonged to Justin Metcalf (Metcalf4843 on Instagram). It has since been sold.
@@RecklessWrenchGarage awesome. Great content. If you have time check out my sas 94 z71. In need of input would love experienced opinion.
Thanks!
If you have Facebook, post it up on Reckless Wrench Nation.
Jeep Easter
You're sick for making us wait. You should be ashamed of yourself lol
Yeah. That's not cool. You have had this video edited and sitting just taunting your loyal subs....not legit.
Yea... this is probably the last time we’ll premier it so early.
@@RecklessWrenchGarage so early? Lol
Yes. Once you select premier, it shows up right away. 4 days early was a bit excessive. Maybe just one day next time.
Lmas what I was thinking
Nice video but the music was killing me
Do you have any suggestions for the music?
Can you elaborate on this? Was it the fact that music was playing or you didn't like the songs?
@@RecklessWrenchGarage some of the music gave mb e a headache lol but good video tho
@@RecklessWrenchGarage play some post malone on the next video lol
Absolutely not.
building my own rig out of a suburban, check out my latest vid!
