God, the skill needed to handle 850hp. I don't think I could drive something that slides that much. My 07 Subaru has about 680hp and its hard to control even with good tires and all the suspension work.

@AdelaideGraffScene Well they are straight up tuner cars with 850hp...(Not sure if they were built for that kind of power) so i would say yes...they are very hard to control
@scarble and this is clearly the British Time Attack Series, which is for after-market tuners. The series is even used as an R&D exercise, so they'll stick to real road car engines as they want to test systems they'll be bringing to market. There's a slim chance some might do engine swaps for a bigger engine from the same manufacturer, but that's unlikely as they're trying to showcase their ability to tune that particular car.
No, Roger Clark, the legendary racing driver, is dead. The company is called Roger Clark Motorsport and is run by his two sons, and Ollie is the son behind the wheel, a VERY good driver. Awesome video too!
Great video, really well put together. At this stage 45 dislikes. That would be 20 Ford owners, 20 Chev owners & 5 Dodge owners.....All to embarrassed to get their talents on the track.
@susandale1 Brands Hatch is in Kent, England. Camaros and Mustangs would be imports there too. The domestics would be the Lotuses that you did see. ..also in that class the Mustang and Camaros likely have engines that are too large for the rule book and couldn't compete if they wanted to.
I drive a wrx and I get nothing but thumbs up from evo guys. Everytime I see an evo they get a thumbs up from me as well. There is a mutual respect because both machines are awesome and they both have the same roots from world rally championship. I have feeling that the people talking trash are 16 year olds who don't even own either car. Their only experience with them is forza, gran turismo or video games. Give respect to other petrol heads, don't act like a ricer honda brotard.
Driver is Olly Clark, son of the late Roger Clark. Olly along with his brother Matt own RCM (Roger Clark Motorsport) and this particular impreza is called the Gobstopper...
The way that pilot drives his Impreza looks similar to a horseman trying to control a wild mustang. He is at the same time trying to gain speed and control over the machine.
This subaru is called the gobstopper, it's owned, built and driven by brothers matt and ollie clark of rogerclark motorsport, it's a time attack car hence why it has to so much power, it was built for a purpose and that was to show it could be done, smashing records is just a by product of trying to make the worlds most badass subaru.
Pretty sure I went to it that year? I debated on taking the old Subaru pickup out for a blast at track time, but was put off after a black evo rolled it on the first bend in the gravel! only being 17 I didn't wanna smash up my pride and joy!
@p8intballkid you'd be surprised how tough it is to drive a full blown stock car. I took an ASA car out for a spin last month and they are wild pieces of machinery. Plus in a pack it's very difficult. Each race car and track presents its own unique challenges.
@JKeenLow I'm very well enlightened on the subject - I'm the biggest car enthusiast I've ever known. I could say 'car' before anything else, and I could say 'Ford' before 'mum'... The Evo's diff is very clever, yes. But the ProDrive P2 is proof that ProDrive's diffs are nothing short of remarkable. If they were to implement the exact same system on Subaru's top-end Imprezas, they'd be a force to be reckoned with... ...But the latest Impreza is a crushing disappointment compared to days of old.
My attempt to be as unbiased as possible: The Mitsu Evo is sharper, harder and edgier than the Impreza, but the Subaru has better torque distribution via it's limited slip diff (on the P1 models especially) and is a more comfortable, easier car to live with day to day. If you ask me, power is nothing without control, and Subaru's super-clever diff takes the pot.
@rathuanyatzi Pretty sure it's time attack. If you search it on Google, you'll find tons more. I pay more attention to rally racing but I just love seeing the road racing Subies just fly around the track.
What's the point of "Drag Racing" CRX91? How does it 'improve' all cars? Track cars at some point at least provide a test platform to improve street cars. This is great! Running those high horsepower cars over that twitchy short course at Brands Hatch. Absolutely INCREDIBLE!
What sequential box is this and have you had many problems holding the power? How hard was it to rig up to your car? Love the video production too as well as the awesome balls out driving. Be great if you could bring your car down under to go up against the best of the Japanese, Yanks, and us. Lot of BIG money going into some of these cars.
Dident they play this song in the Scott Pilgrim vs. The World trailer? Lol. Sick video nun the less! Cant wait for SCCA Chicago region to start their season!
@audis2quattro1 Roger Clark is a motorsports team, which is what I meant by the comment, Roger Clark did indeed pass away and the man behind the wheel is Olly Clark.
@touge242 cooking your exhaust valves and turbine.... with anti-lag style ecu porgrams... lol my guess... plus sequential trans... doesnt get any faster than that...
@stifreak14 I was talking about new models... the hatchback kinda looks weird compared to old impreza. And it handles worse (some reviews say that). But evo still has it old "feeling" i guess.
Who's watching this in 2021? Those are still crazy fast Subaru! Thank you darkandier !
that thing comes out of the corners like a rocket. Its videos like this that make me miss my scooby
This just takes my love for Subaru to a hole new lvl
Is "hole" a play on words ?
Maybe try learning English first
Still watch this video whenever I need motivation to go and build and race faster cars....love this video
These cars are OG status, i havent seen these subarus in a long time
Used to watch this all the time, glad i found it again
when you think you are going FASSSTTTTT...
those guys overtake you suring a drivt!!
really freaks!
Great great driving + footage!

Absolutly awesome. Lots of money + good driving skills. Much better than Ferraris!
no >:(
Amen brother !
Maybe, but it’s a crime to not drive a Ferrari in Italy
Remember when people made youtube videos like THIS instead of 30-fucking-minute long VLOGS?
Vlogs bore me to fucking hell
Normally I would be shouting 'lose the music' but this is good, I can hear the cars. Don't diss The Prodigy!!
Wow. You really need to let us hear the engines instead of the music -.-
thumbs up for every power slide!

Every kid wants to be an astronaut, or fireman, or doctor, but this has long since been the epic wish now. Truly awesome cars.
love how he changes up a gear half way through the Corner and power slides out of it like he the Stig
whoever is driving that subaru got some excellent driving skills
I like how when the Subarus run off track, they GET traction!
This is my second favourite video of subaru over the all internet!!!
What's the first?
I've uploaded it so you can see it on my channel, but it's not originally mine. :)
wow love that even when runout of track just keep it planted and get back on due to super power and awd :)
It's like best race category. At least for me. All the legendary cars with nice power :O
I don't know what sounds better. The awesome music or the roaring of the engine.
sequential gearbox, pulling towards you is shifting up,
pressing the stick away is shifting down
@AdelaideGraffScene Well they are straight up tuner cars with 850hp...(Not sure if they were built for that kind of power) so i would say yes...they are very hard to control
Roger Clark is amazing
@CKTV True. I remember in top gear, the once said: You race the Evo on the nurburgring, but you drive home with the Impreza.
really very nice the white impreza.
I agree. subaru should totally make another coupe. there's obviously a big enough market for them. they'd be bought up in a flash
Prodigy works a treat in these sorts of vids!
I wish i'd get to see these cars live. :/
@scarble and this is clearly the British Time Attack Series, which is for after-market tuners. i adore the fact all of these cars are road legal. without question some of the fastest cars on this earths roads.
wonderful driving action by Olly Clark....and love that 22B it looks good and drives fast. Thanks for the great video !
Long Live AWD!!!
Very good video!!!I drive self on the nurburgring and this year comes good vids from me and my car.Very good!!! Grretz from Germany
100% agree. the V5 was my personal fave..beauty!
evo looks sick subaru sounds and seems more sick ;D both sick and lovable cars
Legendary Olly Clark AKA "Mr. Steel balls" 😂 and his Gobstopper 💪
@susandale1
Brands Hatch is in Kent, England. Camaros and Mustangs would be imports there too. The domestics would be the Lotuses that you did see.
..also in that class the Mustang and Camaros likely have engines that are too large for the rule book and couldn't compete if they wanted to.
Great video! really good footage and HQ. That Rex is an absolute weapon
0:49 for EPIC Tail Kick :D
1.45 is a result of precision and drift awesomeness
these guys are really driving the wheels off ... awsome stuff
i love the fensport celica at the start too. so sick.
Seeing RC Scooby reminds me of that line from a 50cent song.... "Hit the clutch, hit the gear, hit gas and I'm gone"
hey, youtube algorithm, thank you for this! :D
Man... I had forgotten this amazing video
I drive a wrx and I get nothing but thumbs up from evo guys. Everytime I see an evo they get a thumbs up from me as well. he's not driving that subaru, he's hanging on for dear life!
Driver is Olly Clark, son of the late Roger Clark.
Olly along with his brother Matt own RCM (Roger Clark Motorsport) and this particular impreza is called the Gobstopper...
So crazy cars and mans !!
Trop trop dingue ces mecs là c'est du rally sur circuit là :D et les caisses tout simplement
skill and confidence, most drivers will lift when touching the grass. Still needs a softer front though to cut the understeer.
Thank you so much man!!!! I feel the exact same way only from the Subaru viewpoint. Can't we all just get along & agree we both drive sickly cars?
1:44 I FKIN LOVE IT!!! I LOVE IT
1:44 is The best part! and THE BEST PASS
another great video and of course car
the music made the video so much better added heaps of effect otherwise wouldn't have been as exciting
that's a hell of a monster Subaru . . . . NICE!
The way that pilot drives his Impreza looks similar to a horseman trying to control a wild mustang. He is at the same time trying to gain speed and control over the machine.

just one word.....FANTASTIC!
@ajlekc "TSL Timing" website has the times (click Club results and then select Time attack).
god this video makes you wanna get up and drive your car like a maniac...or at the very least pop in your favorite racing game
bro when i was a kid my dad had brought me to this race and another one where i got to see gobstoper 2 before it was fully relesed
the best super number one awsome happy fun time video everrrrrr!!!!....times 10
@ThaReDeeMeR Seriously, this is something that Speed channel is made for!
It is nice seeing a Lotus!
Pretty sure I went to it that year? I debated on taking the old Subaru pickup out for a blast at track time, but was put off after a black evo rolled it on the first bend in the gravel! only being 17 I didn't wanna smash up my pride and joy!
I'm just wondering, is the engine block original or is it swapped for a bigger one?
@p8intballkid you'd be surprised how tough it is to drive a full blown stock car. I took an ASA car out for a spin last month and they are wild pieces of machinery. Plus in a pack it's very difficult. Each race car and track presents its own unique challenges.

...But the latest Impreza is a crushing disappointment compared to days of old.
And this is the definition of 'Too Much..." for all STI owners (including me)!
Invaders Must Die + engine sounds = AWESOMENESS
@ozilevin200 Not forgetting also that the Evo's fuel tank is too damn small to really enjoy it!
My attempt to be as unbiased as possible: The Mitsu Evo is sharper, harder and edgier than the Impreza, but the Subaru has better torque distribution via it's limited slip diff (on the P1 models especially) and is a more comfortable, easier car to live with day to day.
If you ask me, power is nothing without control, and Subaru's super-clever diff takes the pot.
pretty sick! great vid, music, cars, powerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
Excellent song choice Prodigy FTW!
great video...what camera did you use?
@rathuanyatzi Pretty sure it's time attack. If you search it on Google, you'll find tons more. I pay more attention to rally racing but I just love seeing the road racing Subies just fly around the track.
Really nice video and damn fine cars!!!
1:18 pure skill and BIG balls :P
total mad respect for what you siad :D
1:18 sick driving!
What's the point of "Drag Racing" CRX91? How does it 'improve' all cars? Track cars at some point at least provide a test platform to improve street cars.
This is great! Running those high horsepower cars over that twitchy short course at Brands Hatch. Absolutely INCREDIBLE!
We need videos like this one for WTAC 2014!!
1:18, awesome driving!
@ThaReDeeMeR Because this race is too complicated, you have to turn right.
@audis2quattro1 Roger Clark is a motorsports team, which is what I meant by the comment, Roger Clark did indeed pass away and the man behind the wheel is Olly Clark.
these cars must have sick power-to-weight ratios
Well done that man, I also give Evo / Jdm drivers the thumbs up in my Scooby
Holy shit! that Subaru is crazy.
@touge242 cooking your exhaust valves and turbine.... with anti-lag style ecu porgrams... lol my guess...
plus sequential trans... doesnt get any faster than that...
What a machine !
1:17 = if in doubt, flat out :)))
that white subaru driver is NUTS!!!!
@TheRottenChicken966
What do you think why dyno test is made for?
1.43-1.46 that rocks!
@stifreak14 I was talking about new models... the hatchback kinda looks weird compared to old impreza. And it handles worse (some reviews say that). But evo still has it old "feeling" i guess.
