I don't agree. This is 90s music from the BTCC PS1 game so it's relevant. The audio mix between music, commentary, and engine is balanced. Without the music it would just be random clips without cohesion. There's no piece of music that everyone is going to like. This is an entertainment/nostalgia edit not a review video.

I think technology-wise as well the 90s were the golden age of motorsport. It was the transition point between the old world and the modern one. Modern tech was starting to come in and cars were starting to become seriously capable machines, but there was enough old-tech jank that they were still absolutely wild machines. Chassis, aerodynamics and suspension were still relatively simple compared to today, and you would still see cars right on the ragged edge of controllability.

The real life of TOCA racing game
I miss this era of touring cars.
Did watch the video with a big smile on my face.
I loved all the comments from Murray Walker, best race commentator ever, period.
it makes me remember Toca Touring Car from PSX , really good times. Really nice vidd.
Loved BTCC in the 90's, attended quite a few of the races and have good memories of seeing it in action. Good thing that the modern F1 stewards weren't overseeing things back then, there would have been so many penalties issued that pretty much everyone would have been hit by one (including the spectators). 🤣
Lucky!
funnily enough they would have been for the races at Silverstone when they were support for the F1
The best thing is.. every car looks almost identical to their production car... With only minor changes for aero purposes...
Amazing video - the cars, their sounds, the commentary... just too good.
Excellent video. Lights to flag victory. Thanks. 91 to 2000 is the only touring car era i care for. Amazing 👏 🥇🥳
?
Undeniably the best cut of the best motorsport to grace a track. TOCA for PS1 was the first game that truly got me into road racing and I've never looked back. Can we start calling this the Platinum era?
I don't think we will ever see a race series like this again unfortunately
Thank you so much for the upload! Great to see many great drivers, and sadly some of those who have departed. Brings back many memories!
The best touringcar series of all time❗ Recognisable salooncars(a lot better than nowadays with the WTCR ) with the best drivers who fought for every inch of tarmac.
This was the best ear of motorsport imo, and the best class of racing
