I'm stuck on replacing my alternator on a 95 e320, I'm having trouble with the tensioner what too do I use to loosen the belt? I've baught a couple tools but they didn't fit I need your help!
You need a 15mm socket to put on the tensioner pulley. Rotate clockwise until the belt loosen. Be careful because it’s under pressure when you release it.
Have you had any problems with the AutoZone alternator? I have a 94' MB E320 wagon. I've replaced the battery & alternator. Still have charging problems. Now thinking it's the voltage regulator. Any tips? Thanks in advance
TurtleSpeed I honestly have not. I always make them test them on the test bench before I leave. You may want to check your positive lead wire from the alternator to make sure it’s not broken. Also check for corrosion.
@@Icanfixit-2 I cleaned the 3 ground points near the battery, replaced the alternator, it was driving fine. For 2-3 days. Charging problem happened again. I replaced the battery today. Same thing again. 😢 It has a reman alt. Thinking its the voltage regulator now.
TurtleSpeed sounds like it. Because something sounds like it is creating a voltage arc. Is your battery held down in place? How tall is your battery? Does your battery move around and ground out on the hood of the car? Just some random stuff that could cause issues.

Ive replaced the alternator, but the battery light still on. Any ideas
KENNETH MOORE did you check the alternator fuse? Make sure your alternator wire from the back of the alternator is not broken.
