    I did mine a year and a half ago. If I had this my life would have been a lot easier. Great job.

      I'm about to replace my 98 e300TD radiator. Any major differences with the diesel om606 version you noticed? Ty!!

    Five years late but just found out why yours was missing the right clip. Doing mine as we speak and the right one is a single use anchor and it broke when I tried to put it in the cover so as to not loose it

    extremely well done video. Do you not have to check and top off he trans fluid since you disconnect two of those lines?

    Nice video...I have a 2002 E320 wagon...Transmission has failed again...I'm wondering if it's possible that the ATF got contaminated with coolant...But I'm not sure how to check this. Any ideas ?

    You probably were tightening the fan clutch instead of loosening. It has a reverse thread. You should be able to replace it by just taking the fan shroud off.

    great video. My 98 E300D doesn't have the "legs" on the bottom of the auxiliary cooling fans, just flat across the bottom of the frame. All the replacement part numbers available seem to have the "legs". Guess this was peculiar to the diesel model, as the other videos I've seen showing them are this one, an E430 or a W210 AMG. Any help greatly appreciated.

    Hello, I just replaced the radiator (Mahle Behr) yesterday and go for test drive.
    While turning AC to highest temperature (HI) and Blower Fan low speed, the air is cool. I guess air inside the coolant systems and also running for awhile, I heard high-pitched whirring noise from the radiator.
    Do you know how to fix it? THANKSS

    I tried to remove the radiator drain plug but it broke. I drilled it and removed it. When I replaced it with a new drain plug, water was leaking from the litlle black hose next to the red drain plug, I assume I damaged the threads. What can I do to fix the problem?

    Do you need to add any ATF fluid to replace any that dripped out?

    • @sojevic
      @sojevic 4 роки тому +2

      Yes best to top up the fluid. Just ensure you have a new cap as these are a sealed unit so removing the plastic cap will break it.

    Great video - very high quality! Question: do I need to disconnect the ATF lines and all other connectors of the radiator if I ONLY need to remove the AC condenser? Will it work if I just remove the fans and the other bits in front of it? Thanks!

    • @morganlingsweiler9813

      @@oddity6176 the main difference I came across was the turbo intercooler for the om606 was wedged pretty good onto the radiator on mine on one side. It was tricky getting it lined back up with the radiator again when the new one was installe. I thought I was going to have to take the front bumper off for that intercooler because it wouldn't budge.

    Any tips on disconnecting the atf lines? I've been hitting it with pb blaster and going at it for the past hour but they wont budge

    • @carpartsau
      @carpartsau  5 років тому

      Ricky Johnston they came off pretty easily on this car. If you’ve made sure you are turning them the correct way to loosen, do you see any rust or the likes around them at all? You might need to heat it up to help try and loosen it
