Amy I did not even know that he’s in military now, I’m not an old Shinee fan, but Taemin and Key always stood out for me, Key especially made me like him even more when I heard ‘I Wanna Be’, I think he’s really cool!
Soyeon is singing background vocals for all the choruses and overall her voice is almost always somewhere there, I love how it blends with the instrumental of the song. this is not exactly my style and I haven't heard anything else from Key but I like this song a lot, it's very... summer :)
Moon Mari you should definitely check out key’s other releases! If this is not you type, you may like One of Those Nights. Forever Yours is another summery/feel good song. Cold is his SM Station track, and it is a very calming and beautiful song!!
Oh and it would be amazing if you checked out Blue by Onew and his minialbum Voice! Minho is also releasing his first solo I’m Home on the 28th before he starts military service 💖

Zephyrs Blade Yeah, I’m definitely a biased shawol but that song really affected me so I’m hoping it moves PD too if they decide to check it out. I felt the same way about Let Me In by Loona’s Haseul as they did so I’m hopeful lol.
I wasn’t a fan of Forever Yours that much either, but One of Those Nights was amazing and the album overall was stunning - his voice really is very stable and strong for pop and heavier songs! I Wanna Be was so fun and I loved it so much, especially with her adlibs in the beginning and ending!
Back when 'One of those nights' came out I was waiting and waiting for you to check it out and was so sad when you never did. I hope it's next! I wasn't a fan of 'Forever Yours' either and I think it'd be a damn shame if I had written Key off just because of that song, and am very glad I didn't.

Yes I heartily agree. His voice is very comforting. He also said he wanted to make his first solo album a comfort to people. Everyone has so many worries and stress and he wanted his album to be a home coming and something to bring genuine cheer and relief. I really think you should check out the album PD. It's a repackage of the album that went with One of those Nights. Maybe I just really vibe with Key's style, but I've already begun to regret not finding it earlier. It's just a solid album all the way through. Also stan Soyeon, our multitalented queen.
also if you've watched Jonghyun's Shinin' MV you can notice it has a lot of references to that video and also emphasizing the unity of shinee as 5 members :')
FUCKING RIGHT HE LOOKS GOOD WITH A MULLET on another note, this song really ticks all the boxes for me personally. i just find it so refreshing. im really glad this is what he gave us before enlisting, it makes me both hopeful and nostalgic and i'm here for all of it. also his dancing gives mE LIFE key slays, end of story.
This is such a bop, I really like the style of this song. It's soft but still intense enough to dance to. Also a bit off topic but I really hope you do an album listen for Miroh sometime this week. I'm interested to see what you think of it, the teasers are all telling me it's gonna be award-worthy

One of Those Nights (the title for the first album) is much closer to this vibe than Forever Yours and I personally love the live stages even more because Key performs all the vocals by himself. I'd say Key sticks to a more stripped down style, chill style that still manages to be catchy and a lot of songs feature other artists to spice it up even more. I hope you'll enjoy it 😊

I would love a first listen to Key's album! I know there will be some songs that you might like, but also just as a heads up there could be songs where you think they might be lacking, who knows, but please give the whole album a shot. Key said in an interview that for this first album he wanted his songs to be casual compared to SHINee's experimental music, so that if people who didn't know him as SHINee's Key would still be drawn to or able to listen to his album, and be possibly surprised that it's by Key like you were. He said he didn't want to add stress when listening to new music and wanted the album to have a sense of relaxation instead of complex to the point of causing stress. He wanted to have a comfortable approach but still adding flare to it. Later on, after his service most likely, we might get to see more of the type of music Key wants to do

i'd definitely recommend the rest of the album! i only listened to it recently because i was kind of avoiding it too because i wasn't sure how it would sound but it's been on repeat since i did, there isn't a song from FACE or the repackage that i don't really enjoy

PD I 100% recommend that you check out more of SHINee’s music. I personally think that SHINee are very different as they are a “Contemporary” group and try out many different concepts. Many of their songs are amazing in their new and especially old albums. Songs like Symptoms, Don’t Let Me Go, and Excuse Me Miss are very different from each other but have the “SHINee sound” to it and are absolutely amazing. Also, 4/5 have solo a solo album (s) and they are also really good, each album that they produced have songs you can listen to for hours. Minho is also gong to be releasing a solo song before his enlistment. I really hope you check out more of SHINee in the future. This video was amazing, much love towards you 💕💕💕
So glad you are going to listen to Key’s repackage. While Forever Yours didn’t initially appeal to a lot of folks, it fits with the cohesiveness of an album that uses synths so very well to cover a spectrum of pop and EDM songs. It is really very good. Key has a lovely voice. In SHINee for obvious reasons his was/is not always the focus, but SHINee is SHINee because of each members’ contribution.
