I know you said seven years doesn't seem that long, but that's actually the average length of the initial contract that idols are under. So you'll often see fans talk about the "seven year curse" or get a little antsy when the seventh year is coming up, wondering if a group is going to renew their contract or disband, as a lot of groups don't make it through the first contract renewal.
Also, it was a big deal back in the day because girl groups didn't last long. SNSD was the first one who had reached their tenth anniversary with music, but with Jessica outside the group. Nowadays, you see that girlgroups reached ten years without losing members or still doing music like Red Velvet, Twice which are big names in the industry.
@@danaibero7118I think Brown Eyed Girl is the 1st one and still the girl group with longest career. Although they haven't release music since 2019 but they haven't disband yet.

Jia is the one with pink hair in Bad Girl, Good Girl and orange hair in Good-bye Baby. Also brown hair in Hush. She is my favorite member in the group. Songs: Only you, Breathe, I don't need a man
👍 for the 2nd gen LEGENDS MISS A! btw: J.Y. Park was the producer of all the 4 songs you heard today, therefore the producer tag / call in at the beginning of each of the tracks. He wrote most of the music for his groups at the start of his company when it wasn't that big yet. LEGEND INDEED! 💙
I remember the Cd version of Touch had a rap part by Jia and Suzy on it instead of the instrumental dance break, so it‘s worth giving it a listen again 😁💕
Check out Breathe, Only You, I don't Need a Man and Love Alone next! As well as Fei's solo debut Fantasy. Bad girl good girl won ALL the awards back in 2010 it was everywhere really one of the most successful debuts by a gg ever! Maybe you’ve seen a group cover it. Suzy the maknae instantly became insanely popular, that’s how she became the nations first love! Shame they were so badly managed because the members are super talented
As a 2nd gen fan , you take me back to all my teenage great memories lol ^^ Ofc JYP himself is saying JYP at the begining of all his songs during 2nd gen ... every music producer was saying his name in the beginning of every song during 2nd gen lol ... listen well you'll hear the JYP, the brave sound , etc... good ol' days!
Regarding their voices, I’ve been listening to a lot of kpop groups but Miss A is the group when they sing together their vocals r on point. I mean not so cute, not rude, it’s usual, ordinary, and that's why it's pleasant! main reason why I love listening to their music, unfortunately it’s very rare in kpop((
I mean in some groups their change their vocal techniques to make more recognisable or more low when they rapping or use autotune n ect. but in miss a their vocal tone is normal)) and I love it!
Okay, so Miss A was one of the most successful debuts in kpop. The thing is, at that time, it was standard for the visual and face of the group to be sent everywhere to promote the group, and Suzy became insanely popular as soon as Koreans saw her face, so she did advertisiments, variety shows, had a TV and cinema debut, and she won awards for all 4, as a rookie. The first and only one to do so, I guess no one could imagine how big she'd be. But that meant that Korea had a massive interest on her that didn't include the other members. A lot of people say JYPE mismanaged them and, though I agree, it was never a fair fight to begin with. They were only 4 girls: Jia and Fei were chinese, Min didn't fit the very strict korean beauty standard. Atempts to promote them fell on deaf ears cause people had their eyes set on Suzy. Miss A didn't have a long and prolific career, and fall short in comparison to other big ggs of that time, but I honestly don't think the gap in popularity of the members was avoidable. Suzy had everything korean society admires, being young, sweet, beautiful with a 3D personality, people saw her as humble and hard working. The moment she nailed a role on a sucessful movie about an enchanting first love that was foolishly lost, it was over. She has been untouchable ever since. I do recommend you check their other MVs, they don't have much, sadly. Breathe (first cb), I Don't Need a Man (after Touch), and Only You (their last cb). Their empowering message got me into kpop when many had failed before. And if you have 2 hours to spare I ask you to watch the first 2 episodes of Suzy's drama While You Were Sleeping, if that story doesn't get you hooked I don't know what will, lol
This made me teary because i miss them so much . Nostalgia is both happy and sad ! They had such a unique vibe as a group and felt very empowered! Jia and Fei were my bias'!
I got married around the time of Miss A touch and my whole wedding was touch theme. The creamy color lace and red roses even my wedding invitation was a replica of their album cover ❤
I. Have. Been. Waiting. For. This. Vid. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 Bad Girl Good GirlC Good Bye Baby, Hush are iconic. Hush especially. Good-bye Baby is the best video. Just their GLEE at almost drowning that man. No notes. Applause. Several times, they are fully laughing about it all. Special points to the floor work, the girl with cat ears, lounging on his chair like a thrown, & the rapping. This is a power song. Also. If you pay attention, he was leading them all on / dating them all. To then laugh at them? I do think it’s interesting that his minions are all / mostly non-Koreans Touch really grew on me as a song. It’s kinda wild. I Dont Need a Man is another must song.
I am excited that you are checking out MISS A, and look forward to all your reactions to this group, I'll be watching, thanks for the reactions! Though you are checking them at random, I always suggest going in order from debut to current, to see the natural progression and evolution of a group over time.
Last September I saw my miss A bias Min perform in my hometown of Vancouver. She performed six songs including 'Bad Girl Good Girl', 'Good-bye Baby', and 'I Don't Need a Man' 😃
Miss A is and was one of the most popular group back then. I feel like JYP has let them go off the rails. Suzy is one of the most paid actress in Korea. Numerous awards, super super popular. Other members pursuits their own way with debuting and taking a break. Their song are so iconic that many many groups nowadays cover. As well as in survival shows.
Bad girl good girl is the reason i got to know TWICE cause they covered it, and technically the reason i started listening to kpop in 2015 😌 it has such a special place in my heart
The vocals you liked in "Hush" were Min, the one with the bob cut. She was their power belter. She's the reason i ever paid attention to Miss A, she was so dang hilarious on variety shows. Knew when to play dumb for laffs but was razor sharp witted.
Miss A are top tier 2nd Gen K-Pop. my favourite's are 'I Don't Need A Man' and 'Breathe' which should be in your next Miss A video. Incidentally, AKMU did Miss A's 'Breathe' for their audition for K-Pop Star which is an iconic performance in itself. Pink hair/Orange hair girl was Jia and her solo's are worth a look (as are Suzy's). While you're going down this 2nd Gen girl group rabbit hole I'd like to put in a vote each for 3 groups: SPICA (pronounced speaker I believe), Fiestar and Ladies Code.
I really love and appreciate that even though he records many reactions, he genuinly enjoys doing them, even if the song is not his favorite, he really loves listening to music and watching the MVs, it feels very genuine, and I love that.
Omg i’m so happy you reacted to miss a i was begging you in the comments to react to them lol Also you need to watch miss a hush live performance it’s the most viewed one i believe , and i don’t need a men it’s a fun one , enjoyy
Hush is a god tier kpop song. Its perfect. As for other songs to check out Breathe is really fun and was actually the song that got me into them because Bad Girl Good Girl wasn't really my vibe when it came out (though I came around on it after Breathe and love it now lol). Breathe is just a really fun quirky kpop song. I Don't Need A Man and Only You are also great. If you want a b-side Lips is awesome.
A lot of groups/artists covered “BAD GIRL, GOOD GIRL” either in year end shows or on audition shows. It’s the same with “HUSH”, that song and choreography was covered by everyone!!!! Oh and yeah BAE SUZY is super pretty, she’s not called “THE NATION’S FIRST LOVE” for no reason. But despite her crazy visuals, she actually is very funny and quite boyish too. She’s always appearing in many variety shows at the height of MISS A popularity. Suzy is my bias wrecker though, my bias is actually Min the girl that usually has the short hair with the great vocals and main dancer. I just love her energy whenever she performs or when I see her in the MVs. But of course Fei and Jia are just as amazing and talented too! They were a very strong and versatile group tbh! JYP really dropped the ball with them for real! But I get it, some members wanted to pursue other things and wanted to shine on their own. That’s very common and of course some certain members get more of the spotlight than others and not by that members own doing…but still..it’s very common and right now all of them are doing well.
Suzy was very popular and still is. She was coined as "Nation's First love"...its sad how Suzy popilarity overshadowed the other members...and jyp produced this highly dance driven group, you could tell from how well they moved for their debut song...the group was very Solid as a 4 member group ..Bad girl good girl & hush are the most covered song of them...and goes down to the history books of k-pop...
Your reaction at 11:41 was hilarious! If you react to Wonder Girls then do their old stuff first then end with their latest so you can get his famous whisper out of the way 😂.
Fei and Jia are still popular in China, Suzy focuses more on dramas and films, occasionally she does OSTs, Min I rarely see her appear on TV anymore (it's a shame even though she has a good voice)
This video went through COPYRIGHT HELL, yall! 5 different times...Sorry for the copyright filters. 🥺
Don't even mention it. It's not your fault is the unpleasant iA, we also know the videos and what matters to us is the reaction... 🙂
Sistar had a performance covering hush by miss A and also miss a covering their song, you should check it
The filters are alright to be honest.
it's totally okay :)
Don't worry, we've seen the the MVs so many times that I can tell fine what's happening through the filter 😂
btw Bad Girl, Good Girl became the first kpop song in history to be a debut song to win Song of the year at MAMA it was that BIG

NEXT TIME WE NEED RAINBOW OMFG
You should check Breathe is their most fun song, it was very popular back then they even include it on some videogames stuff.
OMYGOSH RJ?! Thank you for reacting to Miss A! ❤ Merry Christmas!
Yeayyy finally you make reaction to Miss A 😍 i hope you can continue the reaction to Miss A other MV 😉
wow finally Miss A
Omg i’m so happy you reacted to miss a i was begging you in the comments to react to them lol
Also you need to watch miss a hush live performance it’s the most viewed one i believe , and i don’t need a men it’s a fun one , enjoyy
Fei - Fantasy had me obsesseddddd for so long! Recommend including it in a second part if you’re doing more MissA✨
The group that got me into K-pop 🥰
Miss A was one of my favourite girl groups back then along with "KARA" , "2NE1" and "Orange Caramel"
Bad Girl good Girl. The first Kpop song and video i heard and Watch. Been hooked ever since to Kpop 😊🥰
BEST FIRST GIRL GROUP
Thank for reaction miss a.. miss them so much😭
long time to seeeeeee~~!
wait, RJ, you don't know the iconic "JYP" from JYP? He literally used to do that on every track until the mid 2010s ☠
You definitely 100% listened to bad girl good girl somewhere
I noticed some parts of the songs sounded similar to some 2PM songs. So, it makes sense since they were from JYP and the same generation.
YESSSS MISS AAAAA
2nd gen kpop is the gold!!!
It'd be fun to see Breathe, I Don't Need A Man and Only U!
watch their solos!!! iconic
owemjiiii, merry christmassss!!! thank uuu for reacting to them, my og gurrrrllll ✨
Yeeees MISS A !!!!❤❤❤❤
Suzy was very popular and still is.
YES YES YES YESSSSSS❤❤❤ U REALLY LISTEN TO ME IM CRYING😭
Fei and Jia are still popular in China, Suzy focuses more on dramas and films, occasionally she does OSTs, Min I rarely see her appear on TV anymore (it's a shame even though she has a good voice)
jyp's girl group is legendddddd
Dalshabet, Rainbow, Fiestar, Hellovenus reaction please! 😊
