@@vvshibavv8978 Great question. Note this is only my speculation, But I have an answer: The Creeper preys based on fear of his victims, and ultimately seeks to corrupt the innocent, targeting mainly adolescents and teenage boys. (There’s likely correlation between that subtext and the guy who made the movies, but that’s another can of worms.) As we see from the first film, the Creeper already had eyes. He didn’t need Darry’s. He simply wanted them, so he took them. And as we see in the 2nd film, the creeper loses his head, but can still survive. But he still needs a new one. Now back to Billy’s and why the Creeper would take his brain: Billy is a child, thus more innocent and susceptible to fear than the rest of the Creeper’s victims. By taking his brain, The Creeper is allowed to feel what that fear must feel like through the mindset of a teenager, and knowing he’s corrupting his brain, by making it process all of the evil things he thinks and does. Just as he took Darry’s eyes, forcing them to see everything he does. The Creeper takes Billy’s brain, because he’s strengthened by that potent sense of fear, and knowing that it’s an innocent boy’s brain being forced to process the evil thoughts and actions of the Creeper.
When the Creeper took/killed Billy he also created his ultimate nemesis; Jack Taggart. That man is probably the closest human to ever cause the Creeper real pain & perhaps made him feel actual fear for the first time.
Maybe, but it sure looked pissed at the end, as it was starting to hibernate. The Creeper also hates him, the way it might never have hated anyone before
Many things that makes the Creeper more frightening in this one scene alone. The fact that he hunts at day, the fact that he waited for the boy to be lured in when he could have just pounced at him any moment and finally the fact that he gave the father and his brother a false hope that they could catch up to him just to let them hear his screams of horror and anguish. One of the things that makes the Creeper's mythos even more great. He's a beast that thrives on not only the fear of his victims but also the suffering he causes to their loved ones.

You clearly don’t pay attention to the movies. The Creeper, unlike pennywise goes after anyone not just kids. In this case the kid was just easier to scare than the rest of his family so the creeper took the kid.
Wrong Billy was afraid of it, And the creeper likes the smell When you are afraid, Thats wy he took Darry in part 1 Becouse Trish was stronger and not scared at all
It's a fuckin demonic being that must consume humans and their parts to survive man, Sympathy, mercy, and caution aren't in it's vocabulary I think lol
Think about this. The creeper could have easily just flew away with billy. But he wanted him scared. He wanted him to feel a glimmer of hope with his family in chase before he sealed his fate. 10/10 horror
Kinda out-of-character for Creeper to leave those ahh, let's just say loose ends in the form of a family that may want to take revenge. Doubly so considering that it's not some terrified teenagers or inexperienced city folk but seasoned farmers who can and WILL muster up enough firepower and makeshift gadgetry to take him down.

@MABRYONTAY FREEMAN forgiving evil is the reason why it still exists. What's to stop a man from being bad if he knows naive people are gonna forgive him?
This scene has always given me the creeps. Those open fields combined with the screams of the actor who played billy give you a sense of hopelessness. Easily one of the most underrated scenes ever.
I watched this movie religiously as a kid. I used to rewind the vhs RIGHT before the end credits bc the music scared me to death. Watching this at 22...it just breaks my heart. The screams. The fathers face when the creeper flies away...its truly a heartbreaking opening. Ill never forget this sunlit cornfield.
@SammyDuo The bat out of hell scene at the end was a little creepy considering the creeper was due to wake up soon with the father watching him. I couldn't just sit there waiting
This scene is a pretty great way to start a horror movie. The setting is perfect; a very wide cornfield during the sunset with scarecrows being set up and only one of them seems to be alive. The actor who plays Billy in those scene is also awesome as you believe that this is how a kid would act if they were scared out of their mind. I also like how as the Creeper begins to move his feet and Billy starts to run for his life, the Creeper looks like he gives the kid a head start after he leaps into the air. I mean, he could’ve attacked the kid right then and there, but instead he flies around while the kid’s running so he can smell a taste of the child’s fear and then when the kid is about to get out of the field, the Creeper pounces him. Then after getting Billy in his clutches, the Creeper could’ve immediately just flown away, but no, he lets the kid panic and yell for his dad and brother to try and rescue him and continues to let Billy scream as he drags him away. Then the dad and the brother pursue the Creeper, which is builds a sense of hopelessness as you want them to save Billy, but just as it looks like they might be able to catch up to them, the Creeper then jumps into the air and flies away with Billy. I feel like this was a plan the Creeper orchestrated, I mean, it feels like he wanted to make the dad think he could save his youngest son only to then fly away when it seems like Billy could get rescued. I feel like that is what makes a monster scary because they toy with their prey, build up a sense of fear and dread for its victims.
Yeah LOL at least not a Woman harmed 🙋💖! But that guy lol you could say their was just Noo Escape for him he was yummy 😋🥩 food and that's it lol wouldn't you agree?

This movie is one of the few occasions where the sequel is just as good and maybe even a little better in some aspects than the original.
Agree fully 💯🔥
Nah 2 is entertaining but 1 was so good the first time watching because you really didn’t know what they were up against.
Looks like Jeepers Kreepers was craving a kid’s meal that day.
That's not funny

0:02 still one of the best horror scenes ever
Agreed
Hands down 100%, such a simple scene but yet has a dramatic effect
@Farongd B I made that comment lol
The music in this movie makes it so much better.
This always scares the absolute life out of me. His screams are so genuine and realistic, not to mention there’s nothing his dad or brother could have done to save him, as well as them having to know this thing is torturing and killing him somewhere out there
I always thought this was the saddest/best scene in the entire film
Undertaker attacking kids..
😂😂😂😂😂
Lol
Jr: Good God ol mighty let the kid go he's got a family
*MAW GAWD ALMIGHTY! TOMBSTONE PILEDRIVER!!*
Young body parts
The music adds so much to this scene its insane!
This scene was nightmare fuel as a kid for me
Yo voy al pueblo de mi abuelita y me da miedo andar en la milpa cuando está así como en la película seca y ya soy mayor 34 años 😂😂 ,saludos desde México .
JP 2 was my personal favorite. Billy screaming DADDYYYY always gets me in the feels though
The creeper making them run after him. Thinking they could save him is even sadder. Creeper could of easily taken off
Who's that lady in your pfp
He was screaming Jackie for his big brother aka Jack Jr. He calls his brother Jackie.
@@ronr1702 he was looking back a little too.
Yeah you could say their was just Noo Escape for the guy he was yummy 😋🍖 food and that was it! Wouldn't you agree?
This is still an incredible scene til this day, the Creeper posing as a scarecrow is the most genius thing ever. From Billy’s great acting of being in fear to The look on the brothers & dads face as some supernatural being leaps into the air & takes off with Billy still sends chills down my spine mane 💯
I guess jeepers creepers wanted some fast food
The first 2 jeepers creepers movies are some of the only movies that genuinely terrified me.
Absolutely one of the top 10 horror movies of all time
He wanted Billy because he was still very young so which made his organs fresh! He didn't want the brother or the father because they older.
Thats not true BC he doesn't just kill kids he's killed older people as well tho
He is pedhopille monster.
You clearly don’t pay attention to the movies. The Creeper, unlike pennywise goes after anyone not just kids. In this case the kid was just easier to scare than the rest of his family so the creeper took the kid.
Wrong
Billy was afraid of it, And the creeper likes the smell When you are afraid,
Thats wy he took Darry in part 1 Becouse Trish was stronger and not scared at all
KlazeGamez It's got to be a Democrat politician. Chuck Schumer or possibly Andrew Cuomo.
Holy shit this still gives me nightmares to this day
No sh I t.
I remember when my mom should me this movie when i was 4
I got a nightmare of this when I was 5 I woke up and couldn’t go back to sleep
If you seen the DVD menu of jeepers creeper 2 that would give you nightmares
i don't know how this scares you
Broad daylight but it still feels dark out.. One of the scariest scenes I ever seen growing up..
This scene is even more creepier now that I realize the guy who directed the film was a child molester.
LINX29X92
Really? Cause if it is that's messed up.
Soo true but somehow he got off the charge pretty twisted..
@@NocturnalBatx69 No, he served time, but not very long. Also it was a kid who was in one of his movies.
The irony of this comment is the scene itself....
Epstein , Hollywood child trafficking
This scene with Billy being taken by the Creeper still gives me chills
Pretend the Creeper is Victor Salva
This movie is a all-time classic .
Abducting someone from their own father's cornfield seems a bit excessive.
but somehow effective since the father won't do anything
The creeper dont care that mudafuckas evil
It's a fuckin demonic being that must consume humans and their parts to survive man,
Sympathy, mercy, and caution aren't in it's vocabulary I think lol
Abducting, cornfield, alien, got ya.
Under what circumstances is child abductions not excessive?
Think about this.
The creeper could have easily just flew away with billy.
But he wanted him scared. He wanted him to feel a glimmer of hope with his family in chase before he sealed his fate.
10/10 horror
Eighseven teenem he probably also wanted to use the fear as a way to find out what billy could “offer” him.
Great writing. Better than the whole 3rd film
Damn when he screams that last daddy your heart just sinks lol
Kinda out-of-character for Creeper to leave those ahh, let's just say loose ends in the form of a family that may want to take revenge. Doubly so considering that it's not some terrified teenagers or inexperienced city folk but seasoned farmers who can and WILL muster up enough firepower and makeshift gadgetry to take him down.
@@inr9751 its dependes though, he left people alive in the first movie too, the spych lady who started to pry and the old lady with the shotgun who was actually alive in the credits, the older sister could be killed a lot of times but he left her. its kinda like he dont care about them just his prey adn the fear he can produce on everyone
The look on the father's face really got me...a father watches his son taken away from him. As a father, I can imagine that feeling
Every 23rd spring, for 23 days, it gets to eat

The lighting in this scene is perfect.
The boy who played Billy was amazing. I was around his age when I watched this movie and his screams always scared me. His voice cracking as he screamed for his dad made me want my dad. 😭

there was nothing daddy can do wen dat happened, he got a shotgun not a sniper rifle, but at the end of this movie made me feel so plsed. the father got his revenge but revenge didn't bring his son back but im sure he got some type of satisfaction lol.
Thats why he crucified him on his garage roof like Jesus. When that bastards wakes its *POW!!!* straight in the head with a harpoon gun
The dads face when that creeper flew with Billy breaks my heart 😭😭😭
Till this day - This movie IS STILL fire.
The real "Jeepers Creepers" is the director
Yep
@MABRYONTAY FREEMAN excuse me?
Klause Steinworth get over it.
Hollywood is filled with pedophiles.

That’s why it’s called Jeepers Creepers
I watched this movie religiously as a kid. I used to rewind the vhs RIGHT before the end credits bc the music scared me to death. Watching this at 22...it just breaks my heart. The screams. The fathers face when the creeper flies away...its truly a heartbreaking opening. Ill never forget this sunlit cornfield.
Being in the day makes it more scarier
Man what happen to good horror movies like this?
Ikr. Now everything is polished with terrible predictable acting
The fact that it was posing as a scarecrow and was waiting on the boy in broad daylight is what makes this scene more horrific 💯☠️🎥
This movie doesn't deserve an opening scene THIS good.
Such a beautifully shot scene
One of scariest opening of a horror movie hands down
@SammyDuo The bat out of hell scene at the end was a little creepy considering the creeper was due to wake up soon with the father watching him. I couldn't just sit there waiting
The daddy in that played this role deserves an academy award for the look on his face
Easily one of the best opening horror scenes in history
Some say the dad is still screaming billy
This scene is more terrifying than when Pennywise took little Georgie.
Who else yelled “SHOOT IT!! SHOOT IT!! SHOOT IT!!!” during the chase scene lmao
He couldn't, he would have hit the kid.
Shotgun couldn’t reach that far, and he probably coulda hit son

2:36 the screaming 💔😳
The dog barked which means there is something going on and they just ignored it. When they heared he scream then they react on it. They are stupid. They could save him before that if they be attentive to the dogs bark...
You cant except a demon creature with 4 meter wings running about in your cornfield
dogs bark at everything dumbass.
na men ...they do but if they growl and bark aggressively then something up
They couldnt have saved him, once the creeper smells something he likes, he wont stop, he killed an entire cop team to get to Darryl in the first movie
