I think this is the first time ever the Creeper was genuinely afraid. Everyone it ever met, from simple peasants to armed soldiers were always left terrified of it. The kids ran away, the swat teams despite being armed to the teeth froze in fear. But for Taggart to willfully chase *it* , for him to use it's own weapons against it, makes it angry, so it unfurls it's wings, shows it's power to scare Taggart, but he doesn't even blink at the sight of the horror before him. When the Creeper goes to sniff out his terror, all it finds is red hot rage, Taggart isn't scared one bit. And the concept that a mere mortal human is not afraid of it whatsoever is such a horrifically alien concept to the Creeper
I like to imagine that the creeper had felt/thought that Taggart was different, also believing that this individual wasn’t human as he lacked fear against him.
This scene was a whole different type of confrontation. Mortal against monster. But Mortal became a threat. And Monster had to realign himself. Because it was a whole different type of fight. Almost like Monster against Monster 💀. Loved this scene
In my theory that the creeper has only one weakness, and that is people who aren't afraid of it. I mean, think about it. It's like Stephen King's It, Pennywise is using methods to get his victims into fear in which they would be frozen in fear and having loss the ability to overcome fear. But the Losers learned that not being afraid of it gave them the upper hand, and it lost the high ground of killing its prey and became afraid of them. It's the same principal over here with Taggart. He's not afraid of creeper. He's very pissed at him and Trish in the first movie was also not afraid of the creeper and took Darry instead.
Somehow the creeper was creeped out by the farmer. My theory is that when he saw his own knife at the edge of the harpoon, the creeper realised this is not his game anymore, and he is now the hunted instead of being the hunter
As terrible as Jeepers Creepers 3 was, it gives this scene way more depth. In 3, when someone pulled a weapon on the creeper when they were near him they would mostly back off after he stared them down or tried to intimidate them. The creeper even tries it here before getting shot. It understands fear, but it could never understand just how pissed off that father was. No matter how scary the creeper is, it wasn't enough to get past that old mans broken heart.
What makes this interesting is that the creeper was not only pissed that someone used his own weapon against him, but created an arch nemesis who isn’t afraid of him
I would say that Hell has no fury like a father who has lost one of his children to a heartless cannibal creature. The rage and vengeance that comes with losing a child to an unfeeling killer leaves no room for fear.

A lot of people said they were disappointed with this sequel, but I have no idea why. It was definitely goofier than the first, but in this scene alone you see just how evil the Creeper is just by his facial expressions.

The Creeper's facial expression when he see's his own dagger attached to the end of Taggart's harpoon, i'll bet on some level the Creeper was probably thinking "So that's where that dagger went."
Jack Taggart Sr. And Trish Jenner both were unafraid of the creeper when it came to their loved ones being taken from them they pushed out any fear they had and replaced it with anger and revenge

This is maybe the first time someone uses the creeper's own weapon against it. However the creeper is too powerful. It can still pulled hard. It almost killed jack taggart and his son in the process.
Lol no one noticed that the creeper have that old man kid eyes billy
it was scotty's
Oh my God you are right no wonder why it did it close up on his face and want us to know he took his eyes wait a minute wait a minute wait a minute wait a minute it couldn't be his eyes because he got a new head and just seen is past that so he couldn't be Billy's eyes
He took his head in that one scene so how can you be his eyes if he took that one kid's head😕😕??
It took Dante head remember
@@superior_x5611 after he took the kid head his eyes was brown, he killed Scotty after that
Why couldn't they replicate the atmosphere on this one in the third installment?
