Agreed on all counts. Takes a keen but stable edge, holds it a long time, strops well, not difficult to sharpen. Also agree it’s the best deal. Got a like new k390 leafjumper with stock clip and a lynchNW clip for $99.
I love k390, I'm not worried about the corrosion resistance. I use my stretch 2 all the time and I'm glad I brought it in k390 instead of the cruwear one.
Thanks for sharing Brian, anything you’d like to add about your extensive experience with any stories are appreciated these videos serve as an informational source for those who have never tried K390 or have and are wondering if someone has had the same experience
I might have missed you saying it but, did you regrind this blade? Seems like it's thinner than a basic Endela. I have K390 in my Top 3 with XHP and LC200N. I love all steels but K390 has been nothing but excellent for me ! I have the Mule and 4 or 5 folders in it. It can take a very high polish edge without losing any bite. Edge stability is crazy good too.
I’ve been carrying K390 Stretch for 15 months with great enjoyment. I still love cruwear a lot too for all the things it does well, but the edge retention on k390 just spoils you after a while. I’m curious on your thoughts between the two steels? Rock on.
K390 for the win! Meanwhile watching from the sidelines with a folding chair under arm is the new young wrestler the ten five V. On another topic sport store related is it my imagination or is there a lack of bird shooting ammo. Like #4 shot 1400fps loads or equivalent. Most stores stock lightweight 6-7.5-8-9 shot which is fine for quail maybe but tickles pheasant. Sorry way off topic.

I’ve been carrying K390 almost exclusively for years now and my experience with it it just like yours. I personally love the patina.

It seems at least that you're using your knife 🤙🤙
Love k390 such a great knife steel and it’s definitely the best bang for your buck. Thanks for sharing

1:03 that's the noise of the bur! And it's huge from what I heard.
That’s from the toothy edge the noise from the strop is it burrs
Just picked up a police 4 lw k390 and it can crazy sharp. What a knife.
Force patina in boiling vinegar. Japanese K390 is a the best edc steel ever made.

Always wipe your edge clean before stropping 👍🏻

Honestly both great steels Cruwear sharpens better and strops better bit K390 kills it in edge retention K390 doesn’t want to quit

I’ve noticed a lack recently but stock seems to be growing too
SHARPNEN THAT KNIFE!!
I did afterwards
Gun oil and steel wool will get the rust off
Risks scratch the steel more in my opinion
