The lock on the Manix is called a ball bearing lock. The only real similarity it shares with the Axis lock is that they both require a similar method to activate them. Internally they are very different. Cool vid, thanks for sharing. Looking forward to the K390 Police LW. 😎
enjoyed your video, subscribed. the delica seems to be a reasonably priced way to experience various knife steels if you like the basic knife and i do.
K390 is tough on the stones. Holds the edge for hella long. Still waiting for the Pacific salt 2 lc200n I pre ordered lol. Love the cyan blue they used on the k390 run for sure.
I don't think Spyderco's quality is any better or worse. It's still hit and miss for me. For example, i have 3 native chiefs. One is perfect, one is pretty good except the blade is off center, and the other never should've made it out of the warehouse. After opening it 15 or 20 times the blade wobbles and the pivot screws come loose. I still buy spydercos. They're still one one my favorite knife manufacturers. But it seems more and more things like blade centering aren't a big deal anymore. As long as it doesn't affect the functioning of the knife. I will say, as far as factory edges go. Spydercos are probably the sharpest of any of brand out of the box in my experience
And thanks man I cant believe I got the hinderer. My luckiest knife buy for sure. Loving it. Its very fidgety and it feel like its not going to break from fidgeting.
Yeah there’s no such thing as a linerless delica. Some places call them lightweight just because of the FRN scales. Awesome knife though. I have the gray delica with vg10 and she’s a heck of a slicer. Great video and cool knife
Blade centering is more an aesthetic quality than anything. I would like the maker to put more energy on steel selection, grind profile, ergonomics, lock mechanism, heat treatment, etc. a blade that’s 3/32” off to one side? Well, bad for beauty pageants, not meaningful in practice.
The lock is irrelevant beyond which method works better for you. A lock is not meant to turn a folding knife into a fixed blade. It's to keep the blade from cutting off your fingers if you accidentally slip. You should treat every folding knife, whichever lock is has, as if it has no lock. If you need to do something with your knife that you wouldn't do with a slip joint, you should be using a fixed blade.
Waiting for the K390 wharncliffe version.
I have one on the way in the mail should be awesome I also like the scale color they chose for it.
@@wills.8662 Finally got mine in March. Been loving it.
Finnaly a vid on the k390 delica!!! I can’t wait to get one

Me too and thanks for the info sir!
You're incorrect. That was not the composition of k390. I have no idea where you got it, but it is wrong on percentages and chemical composition.
Can't wait to get my k390 delica
A good informative video! Some nice close ups too
Thank you sir. I Appreciate it very much! I really like how this one came out too
@z z what you said about 9/11 tho?

Thank You Sir! I looked up the Tenacious value model. Amazon lists it with 8Cr13MoV steel. Ok, this is why there are less than $100
Yessirr! Yeah isnt that weird? 20 bucks will take you from China steel to CPM REX45 Premium steel...
There's a S35VN version lightweight version coming any day now. Under $100 bucks
My only wharncliff is a keshaw pub 😔
I love that hinderer, I know they also used to make a delica with a wharncliff blade.
I think the wharn spyderco delica is available on KNIFEJOY.COM right now
And thanks man I cant believe I got the hinderer. My luckiest knife buy for sure. Loving it. Its very fidgety and it feel like its not going to break from fidgeting.

Well they did actually make a salt delica. Which had no liners.
And thank you sir. I appreciate the comment!

The Manix is the strongest.
I’ve been thinking about picking up on of those k390 delica’s! I’ve never owned a delica either so I think that’s a sign lol 😂
There's an extremely rare DLT exclusive delica in CRU WEAR right now. I got one

Hey dude, it's my knife, and my fingers. Go pound sand. Seriously.
I have the same color delica and absolutely love it. It’s in my weekly rotation!
