Fun fact: despite been absolutely brutal conquerors, ancient Mongolians were actually very tolerant to foreign cultures and strangers in general.
And out of hundreds of millions, only 10% of Mongolian Horde were actually Mongolians.
So, no wonder why they picked kids, dressed them properly, feeds them and decided to help.
I'm pretty sure this is my favorite episode. There's so many South Park gems here: "Rabble, rabble!", the parents being stupid, rubbing our faces in racism by making it really funny. I love this episode so much. I also love Elementary School Musical, The Tooth Fairy's Tats 2000, The Losing Edge, D-Yikes, and the Black Friday trilogy. But every episode has made me laugh.
1:55 "Bang. You're dead Tweak." "WHAT!" lol. Even funnier given that Disfunc said what at the eexact same time. 2:58 "That's a pretty good trick..." lol. Always kills me. Also, love the Mongolian scenes, hearing their jubilant cries as they chop down the wall. Priceless!
Oddly enough, they didn't show Timmy's parents in the classroom and Timmy does indeed have parents. RICHARD!..HELEN! You can see them in the episode TIMMY 2000. This is definitely a banger.. Timmybanger

This is still one of my favorite old episodes of the show because the comedy, pace, and writing is so on point. It's still funny even after seeing it a million times in the past. Season 6 and 7 was when the show felt like it truly embraced the writing formula that Matt and Trey have mostly adopted to this day, and Season 5 was when it began to make that positive shift since that season is also hilariously classic and evolved from the previous ones.
Don't think I've seen you laugh so much. This is a classic episode with lines I still say today.
There is a future episode that devastates me about the origins of the Chinese man. Without giving away the plot, I love the owner of City Wok.

To be honest, I think the kids were better off with the Mongolians.
I agree. Especially Butters & Cartman for two different reasons:
1. They could’ve been the male role models that Cartman needs plus they could’ve taught him the discipline he needed.
2. They could’ve adopted Butters into their tribe & care for him by giving him the nurturing environment he needed that he’s not getting from his parents but also teaching him how to fight & hunt & stand up for himself.
If they would’ve stayed with the Mongolians they would’ve become great men or warriors unless Cartman was to undermine them & use them to his advantage (which I don’t think they would let him do so)
Honestly, I wish we could see more of Mr. Mackey’s parents.
