@@WolverineSticker Noone is denying that he’s a great artist Ichika is absolutely amazing and has a very charismatic way of playing ^^ but tapping has been done in the 80s extensively by musical legends. Don’t be so close minded and aggressive when someone says something about something you’re not educated about.
@Virgil Grin That's about as similar to Ichika's style as Slash' is to John Frusciante's. Phrasing is so different
@Virgil Grin Well frankly, yes. Which notes you play kind of determines half of your uniqueness and style of play. Compare Chop Suey's intro to John Denver. They both strum chords on a non-distorted guitar. Besides melody choices, tone matters a ton too. Ichika's tone is pretty recognizable and original too. I'd pick him out of a crowd of players based on tone alone with eyes closed, much like Hendrix, Frusciante, Santana or BB-King. And there's something about the way he hits the note that's quite distinctive too. Not saying he reinvented the wheel but I sure haven't heard anything remotely similar to him and though Jordan is incredible from what you've sent and uses similar techniques as what is so distinctive of Ichika's sound, I'm unconvinced of your point that he's not unique or original

Keep living. As someone with mental disorder i feel it everyday for the past 9 month. Music and guitar what anchors me to this place. Even though i have suicidal thoughts multiple times a day.

When I heard this, I'm imagining some epic scene on an anime, or a revelation. It sounds epic.
People see and hear the entire song and are amazed at the genius its takes to compose and perform this. But the more you listen the more you see how every single note without exception is the culmination of absolute mastery over the guitar. Every ounce of pressure he applies is calculated and deliberate. Every slide is timed to perfection and all of that to create time after time absolute master pieces. A true genius in his field
