I'm so glad to see someone demonstrating pedals and not playing insane shreds with triple heavy amount of distortion, but instead doin' some really cool stuff :)
any real experienced player knows you cannot stack two high gains and combining even 2 ODs changes the voice entirely so they do not sound good separately. This is a superb pedal. The dual idea is great, glad to see so many makers going this route, more bang for the buck. I like the overdrive quality this pedal has and the jam was great really shows the musical tone it has. CAn we please get this gut to demo more stuff!!!
@tjalla This is simply a doubled Mudhoney. Volume output is the same, which I thing is loud, and it has the same gain as the old one. I use the old one with the boost knob on all the time, and then just turn the volume down. All the best T-Rex Torsten
@TheSAJ11 Another option is when you use two guitars with very different output. E.g. a Tele and a les Paul. If you use an A/B Box in front of the new Mudhoney you can set one level for the Tele and one for the Les Paul. This way your over all level will be the same and you don't have to use any volume knobs at all. You just use the Mudhoney. All the best T-Rex Torsten
@TheSAJ11 It does make sense what you're asking about. It looks like same same, but. I love the Mudhoney and have the new version on my own board. I use one channel for rhythm and the other one for solo, but I use almost the same sound. That wouldn't have been possible with the old version.

I agree with this 100%. I've tried about 45 boutique OD's (thank God for Ebay) in various stacking configurations and finally found this. I play mainly Blues and this gives me a good OD and higher gain sound and you can always juice either side further with a good clean boost like an RC Booster. The pedal also cleans up really well when you bring the guitar Volume down much better than even boutique Tube Screamers at this. It's very touch sensitive. I just wish the company would answer emails, they don't unless I guess you're somebody big, lol.
It's just weird that T-Rex didn't also build in the possibility to stack the two pedals, because they're two circuits in one enclosure. It would have been cool to have the stacking option. But it doesn't matter, I've got two of these LOL!
I have to ask (and I love the Mudhoney I had) if perhaps this version has more overall volume output, and also whether the OD has more gain. I always found using the boost button to be too big a change in tone and (fuzz) gain structure.
@TheSAJ11 I don´t know what kind of music do you play, but I think you should try the Nova Drive by TC Electronic. It hasn´t two distortions but you can combine a heavy overdrive with the distortion. It´s a cool gear to check it out!!
@TheSAJ11 i was all excited to play this thing, so i set it up for two of my favorite settings with it, and i was playing, and i hit the switch to throw on both, and it shut off channel 1 :( i am no longer gonna buy one because of that
Excellent!! Double the mud, double the honey!!! (But not double the money!!)
Cheers!
MONSTER CHOPS!! If I could play like that I would be SET FOR LIFE!!!
Dude makes it sound killer. I want one!!!
Thx!

Aaaah, at last a demo with a distortion pedal which is not a big mess of metal chords :) Nice !
Actually sounds very nice for a low budget pedal !

So much playing, so little sound test :c I can't tell how distorted the sound can get.
Sällan man njuter av en demonstration men det gör jag här Perry! :-)
@B0sc0e: I know you can't live without it :-) It's going straight to my own board.
Cheers

It's a Bogner Metropolis!
i only play with pedal !! telecaster and vox ac30 amp Top sound ! #CafeBertrand (band)

Please can you tell me what amp your using? It's got a gorgeous tone, just what I'm after!
Is it a Bogner? If so what model?
