Can I just say that, like, EVERY action in this game makes me smile? The walk/waddle. the ragdoll, blowing a bubble, sliding down a tree after losing your stamina, holding a balloon and watching the lil gator just swing around with that amazing wide eyed jovial face. It is all phenomenal, and WHY WASN'T ANY OF THIS MENTIONED IN THE BEST ANIMATION OF 2022 DAN!?
The answer to Carrie's question about why we're living a life that does not involve wheelie boards, I think the answer might have something to do with having adult knees.
And wanting our fingers to remain intact...
The phone conversation is absolutely perfect and a super good way to have many characters converse in the same time.
I've had the long-held belief that we adults need huge adult-size gyms/playgrounds. There was a VR game that was that in the tutorial and I think about it more than I like to admit.
This game looks like one of those where I'd have so much fun goofing around, lol.
My philosophy is that we don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing. (and, uh, the inevitable march of time, but that's just boring details)

This game is incredibly well written and endearing, just that scene with the ice cream vendor alone melted my heart.
Floyd as a vampire is so cute!!!
Depending where you are in the world, cairns are also burial markers. So yea, don't just go dismantling those.

Cows actually get very hyper when they're set free to graze in the spring! They jump and prance around, it's extremely cute!

I think I mentioned before, but when Carrie brought up how rare it is to have games actually capture the feeling of self-directed childhood play, I felt compelled to recommend Craig of the Creek again, because it is a show that thrives on this. CotC is funny, it's imaginative, it's full of adventure, it's wholesome but it also addresses the fact that being a kid can be really frustrating. That's the vibe I'm getting with this game and if you like this game you'd probably love Craig of the Creek.

I had exactly the same reaction as Carrie to the mention of the wheelie boards. The sad truth, though, is that I don't think they'd be nearly as fun without the large space of hardwood flooring to roll around on.
I am 100% down with the idea of this being the origin story for frog detective.
Wonder if the scooter is faster at the shield slide mini game compared to other shields though?
That there is the bubblegum AND the balloons as ways to float up, both working in unique ways, that is just ... so good, SO GOOD.
This game just keeps getting better and better, and more cozy as it continues! It's so lovely, and really shows the innocent nature of just being a kid or bunch of kids having fun and goofing off very well. Alas, playtime seems to have taken a backseat for now since the hero Floyd is now a vampire who has to stay in a cave forever with Esme. What will he do to get out of this predicament, who knows but hopefully we shall find out next time!! Oh I just can't get over how adorable this game is, and how precious all the characters are!

Esme: a twiight reference, fitting the vampire theme
Velma: a... scooby doo reference? Not much of a fit for a western theme...

16:35: Carrie's Esme is such a hilarious collection of bits which aren't hilarious individually.
43:23: Honestly, I think a bad vampire accent would be more appropriate for this character than a good one.
1:10: Weird that this is being framed as just kids pretending to be in a video game, but Mochi is criticized(?) for using the _wrong_ video game logic rather than using video game logic at all.

I'm pretty sure theres some studiable psychological effect when playing games for an audience that messes with peoples perceptions. Its so consistent across such a wide variety of people that they just won't see stuff thats right in front of them. The distraction of performing just somehow prevents info from sticking in your brain or something.
at the (10:00) mark Carrie brings up a good point. We've got friends going into prep school and doing AP classes. ... we're the younger friend in this game arn't we? They seem to be spread out in a range from big sis, all the way down to lil gator, with nobody younger then lil gator.
The OTHER thing you can do with a home Scooter Board is put a cat on it. Imagine, one tiny floof, slowly rolling across the floor...

The Shadow series, about hunting monsters in an old west setting does one character being a vampire really well. it's great for the character and uses the setting in an interesting way for the story
Actually, there is a Space Vampire movie called 'LIfeforce', based on the novel 'Space Vampires'. Be warned if you watch the movie, Head Vampire Lady does walk about London in the buff, but it's very tasteful nudity. Anyway, their ship keeps them protected from the sun in space, so it's totally plausible.

I've seen Wild West and Vampire combined before. The Weird West books by Nancy Collins for example. I've seen Vampires and Deep Space... more times then I want to think about.
I've seen Deep Space and Cowboy Combined. "You can't take the sky from me" Right Crew of the Serenity? Right Firefly fans? Cowboy Bebop anybody?
I've never seen all thee pulled off together. Anybody want to chime in with something that uses 2 of the 3, or show me one with all three?
