I do rebalance my gel x nails like my acrylics I just use the builder in a bottle and float to fill the cuticle area then bring the excess down the nail just for leveling purposes. So I dont have to soak my set off every single time I just prep, rebalance and keep it pushing.

Yes, I’ve infilled them with no problem. There’s a dupe for the Apres system as well using clear full-nail tips, although I’ve never done it myself.

When I use my E-file with my non dominant hand I normally hold the E-file and I turn my right finger(s) to get the product off my nails... I do the same when I use a file, I move my right fingers/hand to file as I need. Nice manicure the shade of green sure looked so pretty on your nails.

If you use the foil wraps again, try folding the bottom up-I find the fit to be tighter for some reason. 😊

I won’t use the drill much on my right because I don’t have good control with my left hand either. I just drill off the topcoat and some of the color and switch to a course hand file, I am less afraid to over file down into my natural nail with a hand file. The e-file just makes me too nervous trying to use it with my left hand 😬

For me, e-filing with my nondominant hand is the most awkward thing ever. lol. I can't even hold it right, to have any control at all, I have to hold it the way a baby clutches a spoon or something 😂 I definitely don't let anyone watch, like I said it's super awkward.

It always happens to me.... thank you very much for sharing your wonderful demonstrations

I attach Gel X with clear Acrylic. they fit better, and they get stronger when I have a thin layer of clear acrylic inside the entire tip. It also happens that I use clear gel X with colored acrylic.

Works better if you use a metal cuticle pusher to remove the gel in a gentle motion. Taking off the top colour should be sufficient and filling and then redesign with polish, gel or acrylic. So many techs think you need to soak off and do a new set, but it’s not necessary. And it better for the nails it’s less stress on the natural nail.

It’s simply using full, clear plastic nail tips and attaching with gel. Seems like it works pretty well, although I’ve never tried it.

    • @gabbyeebzie4103

Sam Hugh but how is it removed? I understand that the apres works because the tips themselves are made of soft gel so they dissolve, but for plastic tips, does the gel underneath still dissolve properly ?

How do you not know that carbide bit has special bits for left handed people which means the brissels are facing opposite direction so you should file upwards or lay your hand down flat and file in the direction away from you. When you file like that you ate still taking some material off but far less thn normal that is why it was uncomfortable for you.

@@K4njo i use a clear fullcover nail (markarrt ballerina from amazon) and a cheap RESIN GEL (from amazon) instead of extend gel. I got both products from amazon and i use the exact same technique as apres gelx. I paid $16 all together. I had the rest of the items needed already. Resin gel is the clear gel u use to apply crystals/gemstones and cure under led/uv light to set. I came up with the dupe last fall. Its all i do now. Resin gel is in tiny pots

According to Apres, the nail is actually made out of gel polish. This is probably why it is so gummy verses the hard, cracked mess you get when you soak off normal plastic tips.
